Tip Top Restaurant

A truly great place to hang out. The food is great, we went back for a second visit. On the Sunday night there was live music, which was really good. Try and sit outside, even if you need to wait. Fills up after 6pm.

Excellent ambience, well maintained and clean. They have an air-conditioned room at the back. Their local coffee is a bit pricey, a small cup of hot black coffee at 25,000Rp, average in taste. Food we ordered were average in taste overall. Cakes are very old-school, taste average but worth a try. Pick and choose whatever you like from the cake house next door, they will serve it to your table and pay together with the food after meal.

The atmosphere is great. But for the food I ordered, only the 'Carmen Ice Cream' is good. The rest is just okay. You probably can get the better taste with lower price in most of average chinese restaurant. Payment can be made with cash, QRIS, and debit.

Kangen makan bolu jadul? Gas sini tiptop. Rasa kue or bolunya benerannn rumahan bgt yang bikin comfy. Anw they sell a lot of other food, e.g. steak lidah etc. But can’t say more because i come for the cake!!! The atmosphere completely vintage vibes, like literally every corner. Come to medan? At least you need to try it!

Historic building housing a restaurant that has been in business for a century. Excellent place from some nostalgia and pretty good but not excellent food. One comes here for the atmosphere first, food comes second. Service is friendly but not fast.

Visited Tip Top Restaurant it's like stepping back in time! This legendary spot has been around forever and still serves up some of the best classic dishes. The old-school vibe, with its vintage decor and atmosphere, is super charming. Their ice cream and pastries are especially famous, and for good reason—they’re delicious! If you're in Medan, you’ve got to experience this iconic place at least once!

Nice place nice food. Table outside can smoke, inside with aircond for non smoking. Ordered chicken chop and fish, the batter is quite nice not too thick but the black pepper sauce not to my liking. My mom like it though. Again different people different tasta ya. Their sorbet is not the usual sour one i usually taste. Maybe because its a mixture sorbet. Service good and food arrived fast for us. Overall quite good la ☺️

This restaurant has been around from even before Indonesia's independence and it's an experience to have the legacy dishes here with the historical photos around you. Portions are plentiful and taste is really good. Do note that they only accept cash.
