My first visit to Tipsy Unicorn was fantastic! I loved the food, which is definitely better compared to other beach clubs. We even enjoyed the adorable Unicorn shuttle service. The concept is unique, with in house shop for some fun shopping. My only complaint at that time was the barrier that obstructed the beach view.
However, my recent visit turned out to be quite disappointing. The club was less crowded than others, so we hoped to get a table. Unfortunately, there was no friendly staff to greet us at the door, and the assistant manager refused to let us in, even though the indoor area was empty. After repeatedly assuring her that we would leave if needed, we finally managed to secure a table. On a positive note, the part-time staff member, Gabrielle, was very helpful and friendly.
It seemed like they were understaffed for a public holiday, as we waited 20 minutes for a coffee. My Coca-Cola was not fresh, and I noticed drinks sitting at the bar counter while we waited. The kids’ pizza was also disappointing—I was surprised to see a margarita topped with onions, especially since it was meant for kids!
I had hoped to bring some positive energy by doing some shopping at the cool in-house shop, but I was informed that it wouldn’t be open that day. Additionally, due to the staffing issues, we couldn't utilize their shuttle service. Overall, my experience this time was quite frustrating.
