Tirana Backpacker Hostel

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 10/10!!! What are any question the best Hostel I’ve ever stayed in!!!!! The owner is accommodating and friendly going out of his way to make you feel welcome, and the volunteers were top-notch !! I stayed in the Private accommodation for a total of 10 nights and it was truthfully the most relaxing time I’ve had anywhere in a very long time. Great showers and very comfortable beds plus an atmosphere perfect for solo travelers and groups alike. Perfect location close to many wonderful restaurants and all the sites

I had an absolutely amazing time and was a great first experience in a hostel. I usually stay in hotels when abroad but my friend convinced me to stay in a hostel and I DO NOT regret it at all! I came in winter months, when the weather was nice but the hostel was not full. Despite this, the hostel provided a chill vibe where I can meet new people in the social areas, indoors and out. The volunteers were always helpful and made the best meals, even as a non vegetarian myself. The managers, Kris and Ilir, were very welcoming and friendly which made my time even better. I initially had a flight booked home after 7 days but on the 5th day I rebooked as it wasn't enough!

Very nice place. I stayed for half a year at the place. The facility is great as well as the included breakfast and the dinner. Highly recommend to volunteer here, due to his chilled environment and family like work atmosphere. You can noticed that the people life for and in this place. The bar is great and there are always some nice tunes and cool people hanging out. It’s the cheapest place to drink in tirana and you get served homemade raki as well with fresh drafted local beer. I will be back

The best hostel in Tirana! Located near the main square, nice dorms, wonderful staff who speak many languages, there is a very nice bar inside, with nice prices, there's a kitchen if you wanna cook your meal and they also sell vegetarian dinner for only €5. Amazing breakfast is included! There is a friendly dog, they rent bikes, there is a nice common area to hang out and meet other travellers, which is a nice garden. They offer laundry service for a fair price. The linen and towels are included. The only improvement I suggest would be in the bathrooms, with no toilet seat covers, poor light and not enough space to leave your belongings, plus the very poor and unstable wifi (it's horrible!).

In May of last year I was in great emotional turmoil. I turned up for a week stay at TBH and ended up staying for four and a half months. I was welcomed with open arms by Kris and Ilir, the hostel's owners and managers. Volunteering at TBH was honestly one of the best things I've ever done and I would recommend the hostel wholeheartedly. The other staff who I had the pleasure of living and working with (whom I will not name in case they would prefer their privacy) were uplifting, heart warming people and I would consider life long friends. Deep emotional chats, gestures of good will and just down to earth fun is how I can describe all the staff, ownership and guests. Big big big recommend!!

This is the best hostel in Tirana, I came here for a few days and kept extending and extending. Visited all the hostels in Tirana but this one is incomparable, amazing management friendly and welcoming, amazing staff which gives home like feeling, amazing volunteers which makes you feel like old friends, the hostel is clean beautiful and relaxing, they have beautiful back yard where you can relax, great lighting and great sounds with creative bar design and graffiti on the walls, rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfasts are great, dinner is always delicious, events in the hostel like bachata or quiz game etc, This place just forces you to stay! Highly recommended 👌

Located close to city center, easy to get to, very friendly staff, great breakfast (did not have time to try dinner yet). Also very friendly hostel dog.

It was super overpriced. They charged us 50 euros for a double room with shared bathroom and no air conditioning. A hotel is cheaper. We were very tired and on the go and didn't wanna cancel last minute but you definitely have other better options in hotels and hostels in Tirana. Not worth it
