There is almost nothing left of the original castle, just a few walls, so calling it a castle feels a bit misleading. Today it's more of a small tourist spot with cafes, shops, and restaurants built inside the remains. While the area can be nice for a short walk or to grab a drink, if you expect an actual historic castle, you may leave underwhelmed.
The castle was first built in the Byzantine era and later expanded by the Ottomans.
