Great location but incredibly rude staff. Rooms could use a little more attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness. Mold is visible. Booked using Agoda and learned that there was a discrepancy with the listing on the allotment of guests per room: 1 guest per room, 2 require an additional fee. This was not listed anywhere, as 1 room, two guests is what is preloaded onto the site. Upon sharing this information and showing the listing with the front desk attendant (Mepi Beshiri) another attendant who was male, chimed in without being solicited for feedback (name unable to be captured) to share that this was not the case even after physically showing what was listed on the site. After a short while, another attendant jumped into (Arton Japi ) plus a female manager on duty (who would not provide their name when asked) all aggressively arguing their point of view on hotel policy regarding the matter, not to mention the bell-hop in the background laughing at the scene. They were speaking in a raised tone of voice and snickering at one point. The manner in which all the associates conducted themselves, with the exception of Mepi was extremely unprofessional and quite frankly, downright rude and something you wouldn’t even expect from a 2 star establishment. Mepi was the only one who was doing her best to remedy the situation. This could have all been resolved through simple communication and a normal back and forth conversation. It was not about cost but rather principle. I will never stay at this hotel again. It is clear that the customer does not come first.

Stayed in the executive suite at this hotel and had the most pleasant experience. The main draw of this hotel is the location. It is just above Skanderberg square and close to many attractions in Tirana. The reception staff were very attentive and efficient. They went above and beyond to help us and make our stay in Tirana enjoyable, especially Soniaat reception. The room was immaculate. I have hardly seen such a huge suite 721 ft² at this price. The breakfast options were delicious. The view from the room is fabulous. I would definitely come back to stay here.

Considering this is a hotel from the 70s, it’s not bad. It’s largely updated, clean, and the staff is professional and courteous. My biggest critique is the air conditioning doesn’t work as well as it should, also the small television only gets a couple random local antenna channels. Its location is excellent though.

You probably already know the location is right in the centre of the city beside Skanderberg square. It can get noisy when there’s an event in the plaza. The room is great. Breakfast is good. Weird check in experience. I came at 12 noon. Was asked to come back at 2pm. 2:30pm reception said the other person is in a meeting so she could not check us all in. 3:15pm finally checked in. They asked for €50 cash deposit or leave your passport!! Never had this experience before. Got my money back at checkout but can’t they put a hold in a credit card like every other big hotels?

I'm at the hotel right now. I was given a room with three single beds, even though I was staying alone. Ok, that's not a big problem, but my room doesn't have a window. There is a window, but it's completely blocked by a board, leaving me staring into complete darkness. I asked for a change, but they weren't helpful or friendly. I'm staying for three days and am I supposed to stare at this darkness? Another strange thing is that upon check-in, you have to either pay a 50 euro deposit or pawn your passport. I've traveled to so many countries and have never seen such a practice! Also, there was only one socket in the room and it was away from the bed. Other than that, the hotel is okay. It's in a very central location. The room phone and hair dryer weren't working, but the technical team was very helpful and came and fixed it right away. Housekeeping was also good but still this room overlooking nothingness and the reception's ineffective attitude ruin everything.

First of all, we have to address the noise, which is a show stopper as far as I'm concerned. Skanderbeg Square is adjacent to the hotel and was hosting a music festival for the 3 nights we were there. So, the music went on until 11.45 on the Friday night, 2.00 a.m. on the Saturday night and 11.30 on the Sunday night. From our room (and talking to other guests, from most rooms), this made sleep impossible as the constant thud of the bass was deafening. I suggest you check what's going on in the Square before booking, unless, of course, you're not needing any beauty sleep or you are deaf. ||The noise ruined our stay, but otherwise the Hotel itself was very pleasant, with friendly and helpful staff. The room had no kettle and a temperamental shower, with only 1 power point and poor storage facilities. It was, however, spacious with a safe and fridge. ||Breakfast was OK, though no tea and not much fruit. There was a delightful outside drinking area, facing on to the Square (and the sleep-preventing music !). ||There was evidence of the stairwell not being cleaned, which was disappointing. ||Overall, a mixed bag, the noise is the killer.

Very rude staff. They tteated us, disabled people, very bad. Confortable room but very very small shower. High quality of breakfast but very poor, note carefully 30 minutes before the closure there wasn't already anything to eat.

Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel International in Tirana. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to walk to the main attractions, restaurants, and cafes. The staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay, always available to assist with any questions or needs. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a great view over the city. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with local and international options to suit all tastes. Since I had to leave very early for a tour one morning, I asked if it was possible to get something to take away — and they kindly prepared a breakfast box for me. That extra effort really made a difference! Whether you’re visiting Tirana for business or leisure, Hotel International offers excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!
