Considering this is a hotel from the 70s, it’s not bad. It’s largely updated, clean, and the staff is professional and courteous. My biggest critique is the air conditioning doesn’t work as well as it should, also the small television only gets a couple random local antenna channels. Its location is excellent though.

First of all, we have to address the noise, which is a show stopper as far as I'm concerned. Skanderbeg Square is adjacent to the hotel and was hosting a music festival for the 3 nights we were there. So, the music went on until 11.45 on the Friday night, 2.00 a.m. on the Saturday night and 11.30 on the Sunday night. From our room (and talking to other guests, from most rooms), this made sleep impossible as the constant thud of the bass was deafening. I suggest you check what's going on in the Square before booking, unless, of course, you're not needing any beauty sleep or you are deaf. ||The noise ruined our stay, but otherwise the Hotel itself was very pleasant, with friendly and helpful staff. The room had no kettle and a temperamental shower, with only 1 power point and poor storage facilities. It was, however, spacious with a safe and fridge. ||Breakfast was OK, though no tea and not much fruit. There was a delightful outside drinking area, facing on to the Square (and the sleep-preventing music !). ||There was evidence of the stairwell not being cleaned, which was disappointing. ||Overall, a mixed bag, the noise is the killer.

Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel International in Tirana. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to walk to the main attractions, restaurants, and cafes. The staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay, always available to assist with any questions or needs. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a great view over the city. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with local and international options to suit all tastes. Since I had to leave very early for a tour one morning, I asked if it was possible to get something to take away — and they kindly prepared a breakfast box for me. That extra effort really made a difference! Whether you’re visiting Tirana for business or leisure, Hotel International offers excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff were very professional and friendly. They allow for late check in which is great. They also offer currency exchange at decent (though not great) rates which is convenient if you need it. Just note that this is only available in the morning. However, the rooms were fairly outdated. They did not have anywhere we could charge our devices and power went out halfway through the night so we were left without AC.

Stayed twice. First time had smooth, friendly check-in. Second time, manager insisted on keeping my passport until check-out. I explained this is illegal and it belongs to the Canadian Government. He replied, “Why are you being so difficult?” No one was being difficult, I am just protecting my legal rights. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, but this incident means I cannot recommend or return.

This central hotel is well positioned for a visit to the city next to the main square of Tiranë. ||The rooms are spacious but lack a number of things for the guests. There is no place to put cases. No kettle or tea and coffee facilities, no iron or ironing board. One strange thing for a modern hotel is only one plug, a major inconvenience when you need to charge multiple things. The room did have a small refrigerator and a safe. ||The shower over the bath was difficult as we have some mobility issues. The shower was also difficult to control so we ended up with a bathroom floor covered in water. ||The air conditioning needed an engineer to sort it and it wasn’t great when it is 32c outdoors. ||WiFi is like back in the 70/80’s sooooo slow. ||The breakfast restaurant at busy times expect to queue and expect there to be empty food containers. The staff were replenishing things but if you are in a hurry they are not. The whole experience is of chaos. Why only one coffee machine serving 200 guests at a time? No fruit and to be honest poor selection for a major hotel. ||Overall good location but lacking some basic four star essentials.

It's in the very central part of the city, so it's easy to go around. Rooms on the upper floors on the side of the main square have an excellent view (well, it would be nice if the windows would be washed after a long time) Rooms are a bit outdated, and breakfast is regular. The staff is very friendly and attentive. very good English; Sonia, the front desk chief, is doing a fantastic job. The Hotel has some weak points, but the staff make it up.

The hotel is located in the city center, right next to Skanderbeg Square. From there you can walk to everywhere. The hotel is quiet, a bit old-fashioned but well maintained. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. There is a small hotel parking lot.
