TITANIC Gendarmenmarkt Berlin (Berlin, Germany) 22 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Fruit of the cultural cross-pollination between Germany and Turkey, TITANIC Gendarmenmarkt Berlin is the product of a family of Turkish restaurateurs who’ve already made their mark on the Berlin food scene — and who’ve already opened several hotels in Istanbul and Antalya. And this fact alone explains most of what sets TITANIC apart from the rest of Berlin’s luxury hotels." - Tablet Hotels

I really liked this hotel and would definitely recommend it. Beautiful design, a cool bar to hang in during the evening and the spa (which is free to use) was fantastic after a day of touring. My room was large for a European hotel, lot of comfort / convenience pieces like lighting options and coffe/tea in room, mini bar. Comfortable bed and great design. The spa was just the best though. Really relaxing and luxurious. The neighborhood is safe and it's an easy walk to a lot of sites. There is a really good German restaurant right around the corner. This area of Berlin is a bit sterile, but in general that was my thoughts of wherever I went in Berlin. If you are there to hit the main sites it's a great location. Hue breakfast buffet that was a bit expensive but lots of options, freshly made eggs to order etc.

Recently spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel. Initial impressions were excellent. Great efficient check in and foyer was super impressive. Was in room 622 facing towards inward quad area.. therefore very quiet. It had a lovely small balcony. Breakfast was included and was impressive. All tastes catered for and a huge selection of options. I loved their freshly made omelettes. You could chose to have breakfast inside or outside. Location is brilliant, you can walk to all key sights.|Hotel has a huge gym and a small sauna, steam room, Hamaam area with relaxation area also. The hotel has a restaurant which is very expensive but lots of other options for lunch and dinner nearby.I recommend this hotel.

No matter which part of Central Berlin I wanted to explore, this hotel was perfectly situated. I walked in every direction. I was also able to easily catch the subway and continue to the outskirts of town to see the East Side Gallery very easily.||The staff was very thoughtful and helpful. The bar was not very busy and felt lonely, but the bartenders were friendly. There is an outside area against the building where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.||My room was clean and comfortable. I did not partake in the breakfast buffet, but it had a lot of variety. I went to Bonanza Coffee nearby - super coffee and confections!||Note: Even if you do take the elevator up, some floors still have steps up and down to get to your room.

The Titanic Gendarmenmarkt was a wonderful start to our vacation. The staff members at reception were very cordial and helpful. We enjoyed the extensive breakfast and the location was super! It's a 5 minute walk to an U-bahn station, and walking is easy to many famous locations in Berlin. We took bus 147 to the main train station. The stop is 2 short blocks from the hotel. For traditional German food, try Erdinger which is right around the corner.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Germany/Austria touring holiday, the location is good, within walking distance of museum island and a short bus or train ride from other tourist attractions. Many restaurants and cafes are close by. The hotel was quiet, and we slept soundly throughout our stay. Our room (deluxe) was immaculately furnished and clean but was the smallest room of the city hotels we stayed at during our holiday. |The breakfast selection was extensive with a range of hot and cold options and omelettes cooked to order. On the downside, the breakfast room is quite dark which doesn’t give the best ambience for that time of day .Also, the pre cooked breakfast pancakes were not the best. |We also had some time to use the spa area. As soon as you walk in the aroma of relaxation is with you. There is no jacuzzi though, but a sauna and steam room and hamman.

The Titanic Gendarmenmarkt Berlin is just stunning. We arrived in Berlin after a long flight from Melbourne and were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was stunning. The hotel is in a great location and run very professionally. I highly recommend and would stay there again.

Firstly the points are for the reception staff as they were very professional and a credit. The room cleaning however, fell very short. We had a five day stay and were supplied with 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 face cloths on the first night. I used a face cloth to be washed and the next day it was not replaced. We had put the two hand towels and the other face cloth to be washed on the 3rd day, again not replaced. The foot mat when coming out of the shower was removed and also not replaced. So we were down to only two bath towels on the 4th day and a wet patch on the floor where the foot mat should have been. |I also accidentally left a bag of expensive Swiss chocolates in the room and returned to the hotel within 12 hours only to be told they had not been seen as if I had made it up. I would expect a hotel that claims to be of this calibre to insist that all items left in the room are kept aside for at least 24 hours and although they said they would look into it I did not receive any contact regarding what I had left. It would have been more acceptable if they had said the cleaning staff had eaten them thinking they were a tip but to try and act like I had made a mistake about leaving them was insulting. The breakfast was included and seemed quite disjointed in its delivery. A buffet style breakfast which had all the ingredients for a full English except no bacon at all. The cheese slices on display were curling at the edges. We really didn’t feel it was worth the money as a far better breakfast could be had for far less money elsewhere. There was a large selection of items but all fresh items seemed old and recycled from having not been eaten days before. We were strongly considering having a steak meal (which is served in the same eating area as breakfast is) but decided against it due to the breakfast experience. Having stayed at the Titanic Chaussee we found the experience there was a better one

Yelp
Visually stunning! Work of Art! The Art Deco inspired works, paintings, furniture makes your heart stop. The place can get quite busy with Berliners hosting conferences left and right. The rooms can be a little bit on the smaller side unless you go for larger rooms. Think a little bit like New York hotel rooms, go for the bigger space you will thank me later! Granted the hotel is only 7 years old but visually the furniture, the artwork, is classic and chic! If you were ever a fan of the show Babylon Berlin and you love Art Deco, then pay homage to this hotel at least once! I'm completely perplexed with the mixed reviews on Yelp. Yelpers hardly get it wrong! Expedia geared me towards this hotel! Thank you like always! Sie Sagt, "Zu Asche, Zu Staub". You could totally see them filing here.

Yelp
This review is for breakfast only. This is a pricy breakfast but also a terrific smorgasbord of delights. Great omelettes, bread, coffee, yogurts, cheeses, and a large number of mid-east delights including an award winning hummus. Friendly (especially for Germany) service.

Yelp
We stayed here because we wanted to be close to the Gendarmenmarkt Christmas market, but when we arrived we realized that Gendarmenmarkt was under renovation until 2024, completely fenced off, and the market had been moved to Bebelplatz. The 5 stars are not for Housekeeping, which forgot to replace our hand towels once and our coffee pods another time. The high rating is for STELLA the heroic concierge, who spent over 2 hours on the phone with various airlines to rebook our cancelled flights to Munich and then to Marseille. Throughout she was cheerful, upbeat and confident and had us sit in the lobby while she sorted things out. We are eternally grateful to Stella and can't thank her enough!

Yelp
I stayed at the Titanic Gendarmenmarkt Berlin from Mar 25-28th 2022. Checked in mid-afternoon (2pm) after arriving from airport hoping to get some rest before dinner. Unfortunately a party was starting two floors down and below our room which had our room vibrating. On leaving for dinner (7pm) asked when the music would stop and was told very shortly. On returning from dinner (9pm) it was still blaring so asked again and was told no later than 11pm by staff who were apologetic saying it should have stopped earlier. It did stop at exactly 11pm but don't try and sleep before then at the Titanic. But it gets better ...... On 27th there was another party further away from our room so not quite as loud. On leaving for dinner saw a couple dozen young men gathered around the front of the hotel with two police cars running their lights. When we returned there were four police vans, dozens of young men and 6-7 heavily armed (machine guns) police in the lobby. Appears at a wedding event 'blanks' were fired causing a terrorist squad to come to the hotel. No explanation from staff so had to ask the police if there was any danger to guests (answer = not sure yet). Not a relaxing stay. Shabby treatment by staff. Avoid.

Yelp
We visited Titanic when we were in Berlin and we were not disappointed! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Gendarmenmarkt is at the heart of Berlin and the location was great when navigating the city. The morning breakfast is exquisite! Champagne, pastries, and fresh honeycomb! Breakfast is from 6:30am - 10:30am. We certainly hope to visit again! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the price is a little steep for the quality of the hotel.

Yelp
We popped into this hotel for a drink on our way to Brandenburger Tor. It's a very upmarket bar - clearly a place for people with loads of cash! We took a seat in the bar and looked over the menus - I really, really wanted a large water but at €7 I opted for a wine instead which was €9. When the glass arrived it was 100ml serving which I thought was a bit steep but thankfully the waitress also gave us some nibbles so I wasn't too upset. It's a very old-world bar with nice decor and is quite comfortable. The staff were nice and it was a good place to stop for a drink, but I wouldn't head out of my way to come back here with those prices.

Yelp
Amazing hotel in the center of Berlin! I stayed here for a week and loved every moment of it! The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and the overall design of the hotel is great! Breakfast is a bit pricey but it's worth it, having very good fresh food! The porter service is also outstanding! Ask for Toni, he will take care of you any way he can!

Yelp
Surprised at the 3.5 star review. We love this place. The staff are accommodating and friendly. Super nice gym and hamam. The area is great and and we probably enjoyed the Xmas Market way too much :-) Even with the Xmas Market the area doesn't feel too touristic (unlike Prague which we couldn't escape fast enough)! The rooms are not big but they are clean and comfortable so fit the bill. Only had the breakfast on one day but it was good. Returned after visits to other cities. Rooms this time were rather dirty. Sadly downgrading to a 4 star.

Yelp
Lovely hotel with very helpful and kind stuff! Breakfast is very very good so as the rooms. Bed is so comfortable that I didn't want to go out. Location is very premium, very close to the museum courter, especially pergamon museum. Quiet, clean & Turkish speaking stuff if needed. Must rent a bike and travel around with it

Yelp
Booked the (more expensive) rate including spa/gym usage, because the gym pictures looked nice. Learned at the hotel that the gym is under construction, and instead they have a small room with a handful of weight machines (and no pool). The hotel refused to let me change my reservation to the other Titanic hotel in Berlin, which has a proper gym. Sorry, this isn't 5 star customer service.

Yelp
Horrible service and they don't care about you at all. The housekeeping will enter your room while you're sleeping with do not disturb. A lot of flies everywhere. When I told them about the problems at checkout they didn't say anything except "do you need a taxi"
