Titou Gorge

I just can’t believe something like this exists. It was so beautiful. The water is cool but very refreshing. If you ever come to Dominica this is definitely a place you must visit. Also, fun fact, part of Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed here.

I stopped at Titou Gorge after visiting Trafalgar Falls, and I’m so glad I did — it’s absolutely breathtaking! The water is cold and crystal clear. We didn’t go all the way to the waterfall, but we went far enough back to see it deep in the canyon. Fun fact: a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed here! They charge you for a life vest that is required but it's only like $5 us and there was no charge to actually get into the gorge, just the rental of the Life fest. There are warm water fountains coming out as you walk in so if you're coming out of the gorge and you're cold you can go under there and warm up. It’s such a unique and amazing spot. I visited during the off-season at the beginning of October, and there was only one other person there besides me, so I basically had the whole place to myself. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in Dominica!

Titou Gorge was a highlight in Dominica! The water is cold but refreshing, and swimming through the narrow gorge surrounded by lush greenery is unforgettable. Not too crowded, fun, and the waterfall at the end makes it worth the trip. Dominica truly surprised me in the best way!

Very nice excursion...they gave u lifejacket for extra pay...everytime they are taking care of u. They can take pictures...water is not cold and they have fitting room if need it. You can see very nice places all the way.

Great fun for everyone. They have everything you need. Yes, you need your own swimsuit. Short swim in to see the falls. It is not a cave, nothing to freak out about, the kids will love it. 100% safe.

Titou Gorge is a natural wonder. Just beware that the only chance to see the waterfall, is to plunge into the cold water and swim upriver through the Gorge!

Nice place to chill in the hot weather. Friendly staff and affordable prices. Water temperature is not that bad as people say, it does not make you shiver. No need to worry about your belongings, one of the guides mom takes care of everything once you are in the cave. Don't forget to buy bracelets, she keeps an eye on your stuff for free. Cool experience. The water stream might be strong after the rain so wear the life jacket! If you are not a good swimmer they have comfy tubes. Pro tip-get there early to have the whole cave only for yourself!

Improvised our trip in Dominica… glad we made it to this, cause it’s amazing! Take a quick swim into the gorge; perfect after hiking Freshwater Lake or the Falls. Need to meet the guide and have cash to rent a lifejacket (and photos, guide, etc. if you want). Well worth the visit; heads up, most the roads into Morne Trois Pitons NP have construction and potholes right now, so be careful driving.
