This is the second time we have stayed at Tivoli: the resort has a fantastic location, but the property is dated and it is not five-star quality. The service is very good. The staff is very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, only two days before our arrival they inform us about the renovation of the main restaurant, and this disrupted our entire stay. There was constant renovation noise on the beach and by the pool; even during lunch, there were pneumatic hammers working right next to us. The restaurant service (which used to be one of the hotel’s strengths) has worsened significantly since our last visit. The spa is very nice but requires an extra fee (which I have never seen in a five-star hotel). Management seems very distant from the guests; it is clear that there is a lack of concrete direction and the relationship with guests is very detached. Everything is left to the staff, who have limited authority but are always present and helpful, almost embarrassed by the problems that management should be solving. We spoke with the receptionist at the arrival manifesting our concern regarding our stay and the renovation but we never had a proper answer, it left us very disappointed and frustrated. Why do not close the resort for renovation?

The place is fantastic! They have even iguanas!!! The gym is not that good and the spa is reaaaally expensive. Too much. Well, everything is a bit expensive but in general, it is worth it! The best “pudim de leite” that I ever ate. Tgey have some wonderful people working there: Maiane and Suede during dinner, Geisa at breakfast, Kelly at the Dendê bar and Yuri at the swimming pool. They are just incredibly friendly. Love it!

It is not how it is described on the web at all! We flew to this place to stay for 6 nights, but could not actually stand it. We arrived very late during the night and left as soon as we possibly could. Instead of relaxing holiday we got both emotional and financial stress. We had to pay extra for the flights to be able to fly back earlier, to find another place to stay and were robbed of our precious family holiday time. We did not get any refund for the nights we did not stay because of the cancellation policy. The reason for us leaving though was absolutely false marketing of the resort! It is not even close to 5 star hotel/resort. It is a depressing place with broken stuff everywhere. Super weared down place. It smells like toilet. We are a family of four (two adults and two small kids), but there was only one drinking glass in the room for us. We’ve been to many places around the world, but never ever did we have to leave because the place was something totally different from how it is described. There was absolutely nothing we enjoyed at this place, so I strongly recommend to search for other options! All you see on the web is false!

We stayed here for three nights - our check in was professional, staff helpful and spoke good English. Our luggage was taken by cart to our room and we were also taken to the room by cart to see where it was and then on to the restaurant.||The food for both breakfast and evening meal is buffet style, there is a lot of choice, lots of different food areas, a very big airy restaurant and lots of people and families. The hotel is situated on the coast and is very reminiscent of the Caribbean and covers a very large area. You will easily get your steps in just walking for breakfast and back! There are a numerous places to sit and have a drink, an infinity pool, an area for children and tennis courts. The hotel is very much a resort where you wouldn't need to leave during your holiday. There are shops, a jewellers and a hairdressers. ||Our room was large with a veranda, chairs and a hammock, the bed, bedding and sleep quality were excellent. The bathroom was large and modern, the room was served both in the day time and then at night time when the curtains would be drawn, the bed turned back and a chocolate on the bed - a nice touch. Free water and soft drinks in a fridge which were replenished on a daily basis - although a charge to use the coffee machine in the room.||Conclusion: a very large, busy resort type hotel, high standard of service, buffet food. We stayed three nights which was just right for us!

I was caught in a heavy rainstorm and completely drenched, and the hotel guard refused to let me take shelter inside, even for a minute. He even checked with his supervisor, and they still denied me entry. I’m a normal, well-dressed person, not drunk or causing any trouble, simply asking for a minute of shelter from the rain. This kind of treatment shows a complete lack of compassion and humanity. Imagine if a member of your own family were treated this way. Absolutely unacceptable.

This was my 4th time at Tivoli Eco Resort and it never disappoints! Wonderful rooms, amazing staff, great food and that Bahia’s vibe that recharges my energy like no other. If you are looking for the BEST place to stay at Praia do Forte, look no further!

Loved everything in the hotel, facilities, food and people. Everyone were so nice and available all the time. The kids loved the kids club and we will definitely go back again.

Nice place, with a great view and a lot of things to do with family, special with kids. We appreciate the staff, in the Kids Club (Tia Mel, Tia Billy, Tia Pinky, Tia Bochecha, Tia Peter), in the restaurant (António e Larissa) and in the Ice Bar (Bysmark).
