The Tivoli Palazzo offers class, beauty, a superb location five minutes by foot to the Duomo, an indoor & outdoor eating area, a roof terrace overlooking the heart of the city, great nearby shopping, and even a library of books on history and art. The staff, featuring Julia, Gwendalina, Benedetto, Mauro, Michele, Agostina, Mirko, Nolvin the smiley doorman, and others, was phenomenal: friendly, helpful, dutiful, upbeat. Our rooms were small, and we struggled to make space for our luggage and our toiletries. We also had to ask for bath towels. It seemed strange that we had such troubles in an otherwise fabulous, immaculate, beautiful, upscale hotel. But we did. To a degree, it was compensated for with a door which opened up to a roof patio. But there were no chairs or umbrellas on the patio, so we felt awkward using it. So if you stay at this hotel, make sure you ask for a large room, and you will have a great experience. For location, appointment, staff, and cleanliness, you couldn't do much better.
