Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi (Florence, Tuscany) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A pair of painstakingly restored 16th-century palaces, once the homes of aristocratic Florentine families, have reopened as the luxurious Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi. The location around the corner from the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella is excellent, but there’s no doubt that the hotel’s star attraction is the dazzling panorama of another church, the Duomo, from its rooftop bar. Several suites and rooms enjoy the same view, and their period charm has been well-preserved, though the Renaissance-era atmosphere is more on display in the ground-level salons and ballroom, with their frescoed ceilings and original artworks. Breakfast is served in a secret garden-styled courtyard, and the elegant lobby bar, with its wood paneling and antique fireplace, looks straight out of a gentler past." - Tablet Hotels

From the moment we arrived, Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze impressed us with its charm and authenticity. The building itself is a beautiful piece of Florentine history—elegant, timeless, and full of character. You truly feel immersed in the culture and heritage of the city just by walking through its doors. What made our stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A special thanks to Antonella, the restaurant manager, whose warm hospitality and insightful recommendations on food and wine elevated every meal. Her knowledge and passion added so much value to our dining experience. The concierge team also deserves a special mention—they were incredibly helpful, responsive, and attentive, offering excellent suggestions and making every request feel seamless. Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi offers not only a stunning setting but also a team that genuinely cares. It was a truly memorable experience, and we look forward to returning.

Absolutely lovely stay! This hotel has a great location and it's a beautiful, beautiful, unique building. The breakfast is fantastic -- a really wide selection -- and the rooftop bar has an amazing view. (They told us you needed a reservation for the rooftop, but when we got there, the people who work on the roof said that was not the case, so double check.) Our room was spacious and beautiful, although the bathroom was quite narrow -- to the point where I think some people might not have been able to fit past the sink. We'd definitely stay here again! One more note: The lobby is very perfumed, so if you are scent-sensitive, FYI. Everyone here was great! PS: The restaurant across the street is excellent.

We loved the old world classic lobby bar and the roof top bar had stunning views of the Duomo. (Make sure you make a reservation). The hotel is very well located to the major sites. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The Deluxe room and bathroom are very small, but we made due.Special thanks to the concierge (Martina) who was very helpful at getting us restaurant. reservations, even at the last minute and helped us book a skip the line guided tour with David at the Academia Gallery. The front desk and the door man were also very helpful. The air conditioning worked very well during a massive heat wave when some restaurants couldn't keep up .

A little late on the review, but my husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon last July and we’ve been reminiscing and talking about our stay nonstop! Of all the places we’ve traveled to and stayed, our experience here was one of the best. Management & staff were so friendly and helpful from check-in to checkout. The courtyard where we had our breakfast every morning was so beautiful! The room and bed were comfy & very clean & the bathroom was beautiful. Location was great, very close to the train station and main sites but on a quiet street. One of the best stays I’ve ever had. I hope we can take a trip back to Florence and stay here.

What a beautiful place to stay. Great locale surrounded by wonderful restaurants. It was close to the Duomo, the Uffizi, etc yet in a quiet area. The staff were all friendly and knowable. The lobby is stunning, and the breakfasts were amazing. The room was very comfortable and modern with vintage touches. We were surprised daily with gifts of snacks and wine. We highly recommend!

We did'nt stay at this beautiful hotel, but we visited the hotel for the breakfast buffet. We paid 29 euros and it was so worth it. From the moment we entered the hotel we felt so welcomed. A waiter guided us around the different parts of the buffet. So polite and serviceminded the whole time. The food was excellent! We could choose from a varieties of fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, youghurt, cheese, meet, cake +++. They even had Prosecco along side apple, orange, pineapple juices. They offered to make an omelette with the ingredients of our own choice. The coffee was amazing. We chose to sit at a table in the back garden of the hotel, so nice and quiet. This was one of the most memorable experiences in our three day visit to Florence.

Staying at Hotel Palazzo Gaddi was truly a memorable experience. Nestled in the historic center of Florence, just steps away from the Duomo, this beautifully restored Renaissance palace offers the perfect blend of history, elegance, and modern comfort. The interiors are stunning, with original frescoes, classic Florentine decor, and refined furnishings that reflect the grandeur of its noble past. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all modern amenities. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed, the luxurious marble bathroom, and the attention to detail in the room's design. The rooftop terrace is absolutely breathtaking, offering panoramic views over the city and the cathedral — the perfect spot for an evening drink or a quiet moment at sunset. The staff was incredibly courteous, professional, and always ready to help. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful suggestions for local dining and sightseeing, their hospitality made me feel truly valued as a guest. Breakfast was another highlight: a rich buffet featuring both Italian and international options, all fresh and delicious, served in a lovely historic room. If you’re looking for a place that captures the charm of Florence with five-star service and authentic character, Palazzo Gaddi is the perfect choice. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
