We were heading down the coast and decides to stop here for lunch. Came because of the reviews and we weren't disappointed. Service was excellent and staff were very welcoming. Not to mention the ribs and burgers were succulent and delicious (couldn't get enough of that sauce). The marketplace is a great place to sit back between the flowers and just chill. Would definitely come back if I ever visit Hawaii again.

This was our favorite meal on Big Island. We stopped by Saturday around noon. My wife and I split the ribs and volcano burger. Both were crazy good. The ribs fall off the bone and have a sauce that pairs perfectly. Being from Texas, we love our BBQ and can say confidently this place is the real deal.

Yup, the rating is appropriate - great food and lovely former restauranteur owners who pride themselves on making great food. While it’s merely a pickup window, there is plenty of seating in the market gardens (which happen to be another passion of the owners). Love spice? Have the Volcanoe Burger - cooked to taste. Ribs are a must-not-miss.

Visiting from Texas and we found this little gem on our last day of vacation. Some of the best BBQ ribs I have ever tasted, hands down (and I've eaten my fair share in Texas). Slightly sweet sauce but beautifully balanced with fall-off-the-bone meat. Rice and coleslaw were tasty accompaniments. Highly recommend!!

These were some of the best ribs I've had in my life. They were falling off the bone and smothered in sweet and tangy sauce over a bed of rice and grilled pineapple with coleslaw on the side. The sauce from the ribs blends in perfectly to season the rice and together with the pineapple and meat creates one of the best tastes I've ever had. And the slaw is perfect - it's very lightly dressed and blends nicely with everything else on the plate. The owner is friendly and polite and checks in to see that you are loving the food he made. Just a delight.

Delicious food! The ribs were fall of the bone tender and juicy and came with a scoop of cole slaw that seemed to have a bit of pineapple flavoring to it--it was probably the most "meh" part of our experience. They were served on a bed of rice with a pineapple slice--also somewhat meh, but I would say the ribs made up for it. We also got a volcano burger which had jalapenos, cheddar cheese, homemade volcano sauce, and all the traditional fixins--but really, the homemade rub on the patties stole the show. They didn't really nail "medium," but the it was still juicy enough and the flavour was one of the best burgers I've ever had. They sell a variety of canned teas, juices, and soft drinks, as well as dessert. They were out of the chocolate chip macadamia cookies when we went there around 1 PM, but the lilikoi cheesecake was amazing and came out cut into squares that were perfectly shareable.

Great ribs and burgers. Super friendly people. Loved the coffee rub on the cowboy burger. The ribs were very tasty and cooked to perfection.

Delicious ribs, half a rack with coleslaw and rice for $17. Saw people buying the famed bbq sauce for $9 a bottle.
