Warm building with kitchen which included pans, fridge, microwave and water boiler. You can cook and eat there. We checked-in at 10PM and there were no problems at all, but I guess the reception was going to close around that time. Bathrooms are warm, but you have to pay for the shower (there are two), which is ISK 300 for 3 minutes. Wi-Fi is available, as well as washing machine and dryer.

Super kind reception gentleman, and while this used to be one of my favorite campsites on the south coast, the vibe was very different this last visit. There was a large group traveling through that was quite rude, and the new spots for van parking are close together over gravel (in the past it was possible to park in the grass close to the cliff line which was picturesque and quiet) Make sure to bring extra 50isk coins for the shower (not included in the already decent nightly cost) !!!

We loved this camping spot. Very quiet at the base of a hill with a small waterfall. You hardly notice you are in town. The facilities are well maintained and even though this is a popular spot I didn’t feel like there was much wait to get into the shower rooms. Lots of sinks for washing dishes etc

There are just better places. While nice, it way too overcrowded. The facilities are too small for the number of campers especially the kitchen. The kitchen is good for 1 person to cook only. It attracts young children and party people. Quiet hours are a joke, no one cares. Worst of all, you have to pay to shower. I’ve stayed at a dozen sites all over Iceland and NEVER paid to shower.

The place was nice and secured (gate, reception). The kitchen was small but practical. We paid for 2 showers (for 3 minutes!) and did not receive enough coins. After calling them, the owners blamed us for losing one, without even apologizing. The thing is, we stored them directly in a secure compartment that we did not touch until the morning. Same morning, another guest was not able to shower after putting 6 coins in. The same happended to me, as the machine (very old) was not counting properly. A nightmare. Too bad.

Very conveniently located off the main road. Not super close to much but the wifi works pretty well. Showers seemed nice but took coins. Kitchen area decent and the water wasn’t too bad. Not too expensive.

Lovely little quiet campsite. Plenty of spots with electricity. 4 private showers (2 in men’s bathroom, 2 in women’s bathroom). Showers cost 300 ISK for 3-minutes. Handy little timer that you can see from the shower too. The campsite also has a small kitchen, laundry, drinking water, and a few hiking trails nearby. There is also a restaurant near the campsite entrance that is open until 10pm in the summer. We would definitely book again!
