We loved this camping spot. Very quiet at the base of a hill with a small waterfall. You hardly notice you are in town. The facilities are well maintained and even though this is a popular spot I didn’t feel like there was much wait to get into the shower rooms. Lots of sinks for washing dishes etc

There are just better places. While nice, it way too overcrowded. The facilities are too small for the number of campers especially the kitchen. The kitchen is good for 1 person to cook only. It attracts young children and party people. Quiet hours are a joke, no one cares. Worst of all, you have to pay to shower. I’ve stayed at a dozen sites all over Iceland and NEVER paid to shower.

Lovely little quiet campsite. Plenty of spots with electricity. 4 private showers (2 in men’s bathroom, 2 in women’s bathroom). Showers cost 300 ISK for 3-minutes. Handy little timer that you can see from the shower too. The campsite also has a small kitchen, laundry, drinking water, and a few hiking trails nearby. There is also a restaurant near the campsite entrance that is open until 10pm in the summer. We would definitely book again!

It’s definitely pricier compared to other campsites, but that can also be a good thing because there are less people here. Less people mean cleaner bathrooms and showers. I've found the toilets to be cleanest among all the campsites we visited. The kitchen area is small and there is only one stove, but I took my own portable stove in the kitchen and used that, saw other people cooking on outside benches. The downside for me is they close the gate at 10pm, you cannot enter after that. That is really annoying when you have to rush back even though there is endless daylight in summer. Why is it so hard to have a barcode activated gate? Overall clean, quiet and a good option if you don't want to be constantly packed with other people.

We've spent one night there and it's a lovely, quiet camping site. Everything's clean. You have access to the toilets, private hot shower (you can buy coins when checking in), and a small kitchen. There wasn't much space to cook but there wasn't many people either, so we were fine.

Amazing camp spot. Plenty of space for RV's and tents. There is a kitchen with all the necessary stuff, microwave, stove. Showers, washing machine. Electrical hookups for RV's, fresh water and grey water dump station. 4 persons + electrical hookup = cost around 9500

Really nice campsite. Showers are extra but they are individual cubicles behind lockable doors with private changing area. Facilities were great. It was quiet and we didn't need to book ahead travellingend of May.

The campsite was PACKED on a Tuesday. We were fortunate to arrive about 4pm and found a site with electrical supply in the overrun area at the base of the hill behind the campground. Come early if you require an electrical hookup because they are limited and provided on a first come first served basis. Showers are 300 isk and the water will run continuously for 3 minutes, tokens can be purchased at the office. Though the campground is quite large, I feel it does not have adequate bathroom, dining and kitchen facilities. There are only 4 wc stalls for each gender and 2 showers per gender. The dining room is tight, and so is the small covered outdoor dining area. It was raining in the evening and a lot of people sought shelter in these tightly packed areas. I would say this campground is average at best but there aren't many other choices in this area.
