One of the great places in the world where food, art and culture are magnificently blended to create a most welcome atmosphere and beautiful experience. A rich and vibrant experience, relatively pricey and relatively safe. Best experienced from pre-dusk to nighttime. Give yourself yourselves between two and six hours to explore the whole zone, depending on your pace.

Beautiful central, hard to find parking, tons of people and surrounded by culture and great food. Here you can find a lot of authentic foods and awesome experiences. Don’t take my word for it, see it for yourself.

Fabulous place to visit. It's worth going just for the public artwork. In fact, I am going back soon and bringing family with me.

Parking is a bit challenging but it's well worth it. Hotel Dex is a clean, modern place with great service and hot showers. :)

The best of experiences in Guadalajara Plenty to do, walk around Calle independence, several amazing restaurants to eat at (free mariachi bands play at several restaurants during major meal times of day) or shop (although prices are tourist markup). Beautiful vibe after sunset when the lights are on and there are so many artists that come out and express their art, be it dance, music, paint, mime, etc. The central part almost always has events and the street vendors in the evening is the best experience, the beauty in the chaos of it all, is an experience one should not miss. Very safe as well

Fun street with the Mariachi history, plus restaurants/local vendors/stores to shop with almost everything you can imagine. Just watch out for some of the snack vendors would charge you more just because you look like a tourists and the store ones are not necessarily higher priced! Other than 👆, this is a fun street you can easily spend the whole entire afternoon (and night too) for dinner and souvenirs.
