Nate and Andrea, the owners of To Hell and Back, have poured their hearts into their love for vintage clothing and it shows! Not enough can be said about this beautiful store, so if you want to know more to check them out as soon as you can. They have something for everyone!

Been following them on Instagram for a little while now, visited in-person for the first time this past weekend. Was floored by how beautiful the space was: the most minute details in how the products/garments were styled and presented, the music, even the way the fitting room looked/felt. Tremendous curation, everything I personally look for when vintage shopping (even managed to find a pair of pants that I’ve been after for years). Great conversation with Andrea as well, my wife and I will definitely be visiting again!

A beautifully curated treasure trove in the heart of Milwaukee. They have the best selection of vintage clothing, and amazing handmade items from local makers. The prices are great and worth traveling to visit. The people that run it are truly the best!

I purchased a beautiful baby blue Oshkosh flannel to celebrate a special day for myself. I handle it with extra care because I know it was cared for to make it to this shop. Such a wonderful collection of vintage! They have everything from quality vintage basics (jeans, sweaters, jackets) to unique, antique pieces (one of a kind dresses, knits, etc). I’ve found treasures from both categories there. Andrea puts so much love and care into restoring her pieces to ensure they can continue to live a long life. The vibes in the store are warm and welcoming. I’d liken the transition into their underground space to walking into your best friend’s parents’ basement in high school. As you descend the stairs you feel a weight lift knowing you’re in a judgement free zone where you feel comfortable to be yourself, share stories and make memories with pals. Which is so fitting because at To Hell And Back you’re surrounded by vintage pieces that all hold decades of great stories and memories!

Extremely well curated vintage clothing, accessories, and more. When you step down the stairs you’ll find one of a kind pieces that folks on the coasts would freak out about. Not to mention the craftsmanship of the owners in repairing vintage clothing is exceptional. I had a pair of 1950’s overalls repaired in several places. They used historically accurate fabric to patch them. If you love vintage clothing you’ll love this store.

An always changing, carefully curated selection of vintage clothing, accessories, and curiosities. The owners are the best kind of people, and care about customers. Prices are always fair. I love stopping in regularly to see new pieces. Andrea’s repairs are top notch as well! She always does amazing work to save your favorite clothing.

To Hell & Back Vintage is just what “The Doc” ordered. Located in Walker’s Point (Milwaukee) ~ just South of the trendy Third Ward. It’s a quaint, cozy & nostalgic small business owned by a wonderful couple who appreciate vintage clothing and other curated goods. When you walk in, you’ll get that wonderful nostalgic feel. The building has those wonderful Cream City bricks & they decorate the interior with devine display. Their prices are fair & their merchandise is quality. Lots of retro vibes going on! Please put this shop on your “must shop” list if you haven’t been there already. And if you’ve been there already, you know what I’m talking about.
