To Hell & Back Vintage

I always love visiting to hell and back and Sardine! I never leave empty handed because there is such a great selection with a range of sizes. The owners are so nice and inviting too. This new location is absolutely beautiful. I feel so much better spending my money here and giving items a second life than shopping online.

Been following them on Instagram for a little while now, visited in-person for the first time this past weekend. Was floored by how beautiful the space was: the most minute details in how the products/garments were styled and presented, the music, even the way the fitting room looked/felt. Tremendous curation, everything I personally look for when vintage shopping (even managed to find a pair of pants that I’ve been after for years). Great conversation with Andrea as well, my wife and I will definitely be visiting again!

I purchased a beautiful baby blue Oshkosh flannel to celebrate a special day for myself. I handle it with extra care because I know it was cared for to make it to this shop. Such a wonderful collection of vintage! They have everything from quality vintage basics (jeans, sweaters, jackets) to unique, antique pieces (one of a kind dresses, knits, etc). I’ve found treasures from both categories there. Andrea puts so much love and care into restoring her pieces to ensure they can continue to live a long life. The vibes in the store are warm and welcoming. I’d liken the transition into their underground space to walking into your best friend’s parents’ basement in high school. As you descend the stairs you feel a weight lift knowing you’re in a judgement free zone where you feel comfortable to be yourself, share stories and make memories with pals. Which is so fitting because at To Hell And Back you’re surrounded by vintage pieces that all hold decades of great stories and memories!

Extremely well curated vintage clothing, accessories, and more. When you step down the stairs you’ll find one of a kind pieces that folks on the coasts would freak out about. Not to mention the craftsmanship of the owners in repairing vintage clothing is exceptional. I had a pair of 1950’s overalls repaired in several places. They used historically accurate fabric to patch them. If you love vintage clothing you’ll love this store.
