The food, the owner, the view were all top notch! I can’t say enough about the kindness and warmth with which I was greeted. The regular patrons were also awesome, as I got invited to chat with some older gentlemen at their table as I was leaving. A lot of history in that place. I highly recommend this restaurant! BTW, the dish I ordered was recommended to me by the owner, grilled chicken with a lemon sauce, excellent!

I have been coming to Karpathos for 20 years and as a result I am the chief expert on all food related topics on this island. If you come to Karpathos then you MUST come here. This restaurant has the best taverna style food on the island. You can enjoy quality, traditional home made dishes with a view of the MOST beautiful village in Karpathos, Aperi (I am right on this). You can not say you have visited Karpathos unless you have eaten at Το Παραδοσιακό. Mic drop 🤚🏼🎤

I LOVED THEIR SOUVLAKI! I suggest this restaurant because it's simply but very good! I loved also their rooftop! Amazing! 🇬🇷

Stopped for lunch whilst visiting Aperi and enjoyed the best chicken platter I’ve had in Greece. Have to try their lemon sauce with the chicken! The service was excellent and eating with an incredible view was the finishing touch.

Very tasty homemade food, fits good if you visit this traditional greek taverna after the beach in Kyra Panagia or Apella. It is a must to get the bbq greek pork “kontosouvli”

Hi, we came for dinner without reservation . The waitress recommend us the porc and it was delicious. My daughter was frightened by a bee looking for something to eat. The server put a repulsive smoke to get the bee away and it worked. I recommend this restaurant with nice service and a beautiful view. Bye!

Yet another scam of ‘locals’ vs. ‘visitors’. Try to order the ‘portions’ and you ‘re practically getting mugged… If you know what to order, try the ‘shared food’ plus some starters and you will pay half the money… BEWARE: Do not order housewine: at 16 Eur per litre it’s more than a grand theft for something they buy for less than 4 Eur per litre! By the way, if you discard the tourist trap, the food and the service are amazing!

New tavern at Aperi. The service is fast and efficient. The place is comfortable with good distance between the tables. The food is good and tasty. The prices are OK. The parking is awful. Recommended.
