Toad and Co - Golden, CO store

This place is a great find. We were walking down the strip and I noticed some awesome socks in their window. I had to have a pair so we went in and did some quick shopping. Fun upbeat atmosphere and the employees working there today were very friendly and helpful. I love it when you find a shop like this who makes you feel welcome. Thank you!!!

Made the mistake of not reading reviews that mentioned this store does not accept online returns - but why would one anticipate needing to do that when seeking to complete a return to a store that is the business you bought from directly online. There is a simple fix here: simply clearly post on their website that they do not accept returns or exchanges from Toad & Co. online and it also would not be bad if they mentioned that they are an independent store from Toad & Co. otherwise too. Why they have not done that after others have encountered this is just bad customer service and communication.

Drove down to Golden to try on a specific pair of pants to avoid a return if I ordered online and they didn't fit. Asked the store associate for help, she looked for about 10 seconds before going back behind the counter to sit on her phone again. No help whatsoever or suggestions of a similar pair. If I order online, they don't accept returns in store apparently. So I guess I'll just buy pants elsewhere, super disappointing, because I like their stuff. Oh well.

Full disclosure - I purchased these pants at a consignment shop, the sales tags were still attached to the clothing with the original price, implying it was barely worn and fairly new. This review is on the quality of Toad and Co apparel only. I LOVED these pants. I wore them two times a week at my desk job, they were comfortable, they were cute, they were practical. They lasted 4 months. These pants are originally priced at like 90 some dollars. FOUR MONTHS! It’s not worth the money. I paid consignment and not the full price and still feel a bit robbed. If an item of clothing is priced near 100 dollars I expect it to last years, not MONTHS. I was going to go to Toad and Co for more clothes, because these pants were amazing, but I don’t even think I’d be willing to pay a sales price. My Hot Topic graphic tees from middle school have outlived these pants.

Very confusing. They say this is a privately owned store, yet have the same name and logo as the place I spent over $300 online for 3 items, including a basic cami tank. Basically so they don't have to deal with any of us who purchased online. SUPER WHACK and feels like a cop out. Maybe I'm missing something but even if they had helped me at the store, the clothes are ridiculously over priced 😕

Although I typically like this store and shop here a few times a year I was very disappointed to find out that they don’t accept returns for online orders. I went to the store but they didn’t have a wide selection of colors for the shirt that I wanted so I ordered them online. While online I ended up ordering a few more things that I never tried on at the store which didn’t end up fitting. I tried to return the unwanted items, but this location says they won’t accept online returns. Very disappointing that you could use the brand name but not function like every other store.

I’m not sure what happened to the service at Toad but it’s gone downhill. I WAS a frequent shopper at the store but was there today with my 6 year daughter and she had to use the bathroom terribly. I asked the store clerks if my 6 yr old could use the restroom and they looked confused by the question and ignored my request. I was stunned by their response and can’t believe they don’t allow customers to use the facilities. I was about to make a purchase and decided against it due their inflexibility to accommodate a child.
