"Sourdough. White. Wholemeal. Multigrain. Rye. Ciabatta. Challah. Turkish. Linseed & quinoa. Potato & parmesan. Banana. Raisin. Fig & walnut. It’s not a tricky concept. Toast is good at toast. And putting tastiness on top – more good things like eggs, fresh avo, grilled toms, house-made beans, smoky bacon, cured salmon, sardines, blue cheese and apple, mascarpone, honey and toasted almonds, rhubarb raspberry compote, oh so many good things. Accompanied by an amazing water view. (They also make pancakes.)" - Studio Bomba

Cafe with a riverside view. We had the avocado smash and the salmon eggs Benedict but with corn fritters instead of corn. Service is surprisingly fast, food is awesome. Salmon is very fresh, avocado is well done and goes well with the sourdough toast.

Ordered the big breakfast (farm fryed up) $30 cokes with one piece of bacon, asked for fried eggs received poached lovely atmosphere and beautiful spot but the food was disappointing. Also got a ham and cheese toastie could taste it was the cheapest ham and plastic cheese. Horrible, juice was nice. When I asked if the breakfast comes with one piece the guy was rude and said “yep” definitely won’t come back.

Google
Easily the best Eggs Benny I've ever had. Two perfectly runny poached eggs on top of the most delicious and very generous serving of bacon. Not sure how they cook the bacon and bread but it was so buttery and delicious. The Benedict sauce was amazing. Service was excellent. Food and coffees were delivered very promptly. The gentleman who served me came over to check our everything was fine, which really makes a difference. The water side location is amazing. My wife and I went for a stroll through Victoria Gardens afterwards which made for a memorable breakfast. 5/5. Would dine again.

Great way to start the day@Toast! Beautiful views of the canal!! Great service by Andy from Cambridge UK!!

Nothing memorable about this place other than easy access and pleasant surroundings. Coffee is a 3.5 star. Took 20 minutes for food and coffee to arrive. That’s fine for food but too slow for coffee. Probably a little understaffed.

Google
It's a nice little cafe by the river. The food is decent and they have a good variety. The service, however is bad. We went for brunch on a Sunday so I got the fact that it was really crowded. But they forgot to put in some of our orders and we had to wait an abnormally long amount of time for our food. The AC was not working in peak summer, so it was extremely uncomfortable to be seated indoors. Go on a weekday and save your hungover-self a lot of headache 😅

Google
Date of visit: 4/6/2024 Time: ~1pm Price: ~$10 (2 small coffees) Thought we would try this cafe out as it made it onto ‘top cafes to visit in Perth’ list. Not worth spending your money here and the cafe felt very dirty / sticky (table had residue on it). Underwhelmed with the vibe and decor (the display cabinet for the cakes had produce stored in there). Ordered a cappuccino and flat white which was cold and watery; La Marzocco machine doesn’t mean a good coffee!

Google
Have been here a couple times and have tried the savoury crepe and strawberry and cream french toast. Both meals were nice and filling. It gets busy but there’s plenty of seating and the service is quick. The menu has a decent range but is unnecessarily big (in size) and you have to order at the counter but overall a nice cafe in a great location with a view.

Lance H.

Yelp
Good service but the prices are a bit much. Extra $1 to have your eggs scrambled, $4 extra for bacon and you only get one rasher. Food was good but for the price you expect much better.

Toyherbs S.

Yelp
No citron presse 3 stars Ps where is the Reuben that was really really good? The cob salad was really good and very big

Steenie S.

Yelp
Pros: food was superb. I had the French toast and hubby had the eggs Benedict. French toast serving was massive! Could not finish it. Not for lack of trying though. Wait staff were super friendly Nice open outside setting. Over looking some pristine East Perth Cons. A little *too* cosy. Hubby and the guy sitting at the table behind him were battling each other for elbow space and the dude in the booth behind me was like, directly behind me. The thing that makes this 4 stars instead of 5 are the darn flies. Hard to control in an open setting I know but having to do the Aussie salute every few seconds to shoo flies does not make for a relaxing setting. 2 landed in the syrup and I had to scoop them out!

Gav C.

Yelp
Great location with mini harbour views, seating is eclectic, plastic water cups are hardly hygienic and FLIES! Don't sit inside because the flies detract from everything! Some surface sprays around the windows might eliminate most? But the food was very very tasty, well plated, my bacon had plenty of maple syrup, not just a smidge and the corn fritters were full of corn! Recommend this but bring your fly repellent!

Yelp
Toast in East Perth is a long-standing favourite of mine - we have been coming here on a regular basis for well over 4-5 years. It is conveniently located on my running route around the river at the picturesque Claisebrook Cove. The sheltered location makes the most of the rising sun and protects the outdoor seating area from any wind meaning that nearly year round (excluding rainy days) the weather feels perfect. You would be hard pressed to find something that wasn't delicious on their menu...perfectly poached eggs, hot steaming Rubra coffee, a view of the river....doesn't get much better than this. I have a full review on my blog which loads of pictures from a few different visits....like I say....we go here A LOT!

Laura N.

Yelp
I've always said that toast is merely the mode of safe transportation for all sorts of other deliciousness. Butter. Nutella. Jam. Bananas. Avocado. Spiced ricotta, grated apple and honey. Wait, what?! You read me right - that's just one of the menu items you can get on toast at aptly named Toast. Another head-turning stand out? Potato, mint and feta pancakes with smoked salmon, poached eggs, sour cream and chives. Yes. Seriously. Not only is the food gorgeous, but the setting is beautiful as well. Indoor seating is cozy and crammed like a buzzing breakfast joint should be, and the outdoor area is under a large shaded tree overlooking Claisbrook Cove (which is nearly as serene as the name suggests). Casual and quirky, Toast proved to be a perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast in Perth. Get the toast.

Amy C.

Yelp
Always my fav morning cafe after a walk :) But sometimes going healthy isn't always fun! If you enjoy the sunshine, with a chance of seeing dolphins in the river banks then this is the place to be

Clement K.

Yelp
Really nice cafe located next to the river. Very nice place to catch up with friends and have a nice good cuppa. Ordered the Norwegian and the salmon was really fresh. Food was ok-ish and not as fantastic.

Tracey S.

Yelp
Toast is located in the gorgeous little canal of East Perth... it's such a nice quiet location and very relaxing :) I've read the reviews and my friends have been there a few times, so I decided to try it while out for lunch today. On first approach it looked like a little juice/organic place which totally got my hopes up for some real healthy and enjoyable dining. I order the spinach, salsa and ricotta crepes and my husband ordered the pumpkin, blue cheese and spinach crepes... at the register my husband noted to the girl that I'm allergic to balsamic so just to make sure there's none on my plate. The girl mentioned that the crepe comes with a side salad so she'll make sure the chef is aware of my allergy. My husband also order a 'blimey' juice - which is think what carrot apple and watermelon. The crepes came out pretty quick which was great, coz I was starving! I was a little confused by the 'side salad' because it was literally only 10 pieces of gourmet lettuce. There wasn't a single other thing to the 'side salad' - just lettuce... not to mention the lettuce was a little sad wrinkly looking... and quite on the yellowish side..... the whole 'side salad' thing is pretty funny. Honestly I don't think the girl should have called it a 'side salad' when it was like sprinkling a little parsley on a plate. Nevermind, onto the crepe... for $15.5 per crepe I was expecting something really really tasty but honestly i felt nothing. The salsa was really bland, there was no seasoning or flavour to the mixture, it tasted fresh though, so I suppose that's something. I also tried the pumpkin blue cheese crepe but again nothing. I could taste the cheese, but definitely not the pumpkin.... the poor pumpkin was so overpowered by the blue cheese it was a little sad. I felt like the dish really lacked texture and flavour and I can't say that it was all that enjoyable... it fulfilled my starvation... but so too could a packet of san remo macaroni and cheese. All up the crepes were $15.50 each and the juice was $7.50... not really that awesome... but given I love the surroundings... I don't see why I might not try it again sometime... but not for a while... there's certainly better cafes to visit for a vego breakfast.

Yelp
Toast has the look and feel of a seaside café in the French Riviera. It's located waterfront and looks out to Claisebrook Cove. The menu features more than twenty ways to have toast. From the standard; white, wholegrain, rye, to the more obscure; challah, polenta and potato and parmesan toast. In keeping with the French theme, you can also find a list of sweet and savoury crepes, pastries and coffee that isn't half bad. I've had a number of encounters with Toast and I can't say that my experiences have ever reflected the shining reviews. I opted for the full veggie breakfast and it all sounded quite promising; corn fritter (love those!), roasted tomatoes (lovely) and a field mushroom stuffed with spinach (ooh!), but it was so far from what I had pictured. The tomatoes were charred on the top and cold and raw underneath. The mushroom was terribly bland with what looked like pre-chewed spinach inside. The corn fritter was the worst thing on the plate; a soggy under-baked dough, with the odd corn kernel throughout. It was honestly the worst veggie breakfast I'd had in my life. It felt like punishment for not eating animals. The setting at Toast is very charming and pretty, but Vegetarians beware: you may find the veggie breakfast insulting.

Yelp
Sunday morning breakfast at the waters edge is a lovely little break from the norm. I always get a little anxious tho about getting a table. Nice coffee. Fairly prompt service of food. Aptly named tho..Toast! Because they fair toast every piece of toast I have had there to within an inch of its life. They need to serve a steak knife with the bread it's so hard!

Katrina P.

Yelp
Toast is a cute little café in East Perth. IT has lots of outdoor seating overlooking the inlet, and a few tables inside as well. Whilst there are blankets to keep you warm on those cold days, I opted to sit inside the couple of times I visited. On my first visit we tried the fritters and the staff split it onto 2 plates for us as we were sharing (what great service!) The fritters were fantastic and I highly recommend trying them. The second time I visited was for breakfast and I opted for the home cooked beans on toast (it wasn't my first choice looking at the menu but I really needed something warming as it was so chilly!) The beans were ok but much too tomato-y for my liking. I was expecting something with more depth of flavour; however the egg was great as was the toast and it was just what I needed on a chilly morning. Definitely a great place to visit and I'd like to visit in warmer weather as it would be a great spot.

Yelp
My first visit to Toast was years ago and as I had wonderful memories of that time, I decided to stop by on Thursday for a pre-work breakfast with a couple of colleagues. What an absolutely joy it was to find that Toast has stood the test of time and remains the number one location in Perth to enjoy breakfast with a million dollar view. On my recommendation, we all ordered the same meal and there were squeals of delight when our food was brought to the table. What you may well ask, had us sitting there, wide eyed and licking our chops! Well wonder no more as I will reveal all. We feasted on corn fritters, crispy bacon and scrambled eggs, all of which was drizzled with loads of maple syrup! The corn fritters were made with fresh corn straight off the cob and thanks to the expertise of the chef we were able to enjoy the natural taste and flavour of the kernels. Corn is my favourite vegetable so it was a truly, heady experience. Fun fact - there is a kernel of corn for every strand of silk on a corn cob! They were accompanied by a mountain of crispy bacon rashers, and the maple syrup which was drizzled over it provided a lovely melange of sweet and salty flavours. If you choose to have eggs with this dish, they will prepare it to your liking. I chose to have my eggs scrambled and what makes it interesting, is the fact that you can also choose how many eggs you wish to have. I was very happy with my decision to have two eggs scrambled, but you may prefer just one or more than two depending on your appetite. The macchiato I had to accompany my meal was excellent so kudos to the barista. The service is wonderful, I found the staff to be attentive, courteous, efficient and friendly. They seem quite energised and perky especially since it was just about 7 in the morning and they had just opened. As it was a lovely, fresh winter's morning, we decided on a table outside in order to enjoy the million dollar view of the river. I must say, I found it lovely and calming, the water was flat as glass and it was so lovely just sitting there enjoying the reflections. It was hard to tear myself away, when in truth I would have been quite happy to stay there for the rest of the day lulled into a state of absolute tranquillity! Looking forward to my next visit already!

Yelp
Very friendly staffs & great venue by the east perth water! Toast serves up all day breakfast menu from 7am-7pm daily! Lots if varieties from your typical egg scenes, fancy toasts, fresh juices to sweet crepes! To me the foods are good but not wow! However definitely a great brunch spot when you are in the area and an essential on a nice weather day to sit outside and absorb some Vitamin D while eating!

Aaron Z.

Yelp
Toast! Well I always assumed you really couldn't muck up bread. I definitely wouldn't drive out of my way to eat brekkie here, unless I wasn't driving, or paying, than I might go along as a passenger and a free meal. That's what it would probably take to get me back in here. I just wasn't to impressed with the food, or service. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. That's simply my opinion, but this is simply my review. The staff seemed to be a wee bit lethargic, maybe Sunday isn't a good day for them. It was crowded, but a little more effort would've been appreciated. I actually had to ask another server for our drinks, since our server forgot (twice), but who's counting, this guy! The food took quite a long time to get, about 30 minutes, and there was just two of us and we both ordered the same thing. We both ordered poachd eggs, with corn friters, avocado, dressed with hollandaise sauce. The eggs were pretty good, but poaching an egg isn't rocket science. The corn fritters were terribly dry and had a very, very tough texture, reminded me of mini frisbees. The hollandaise sauce was actually pretty decent, unfortunately we didn't really have much to put it on. I just drank it like it was a soup or chowder, not recommended. Probably not all that healthy either. The prices were on the higher side, especially for the quality, or lack thereof, for the food. However, the coffee was great, when we finally got it, from some random server that wasn't ours, but thanks, whoever you were. I'll give Toast 2 stars, which is very generous, since I just found out I'm going to be an uncle.

Izzy W.

Yelp
This place is in a great location around the corner from my place. The view is great if you can get an outside table. The staff aren't that accomodating and we had to seat ourselves at a table full of dirty dishes, where we waited until our coffees were brought to us, before the dishes were cleared and were also asked how the food was :/ I have been back since and the juices are overpriced and not that great, same as the slices. The coffee is alright, nothing spectacular

Paddy M.

Yelp
Nice selection of breakfast offerings. The coffee was nice but was a bit on the pricey side at $4.70 for a standard long Mac. The service was very good and the breakfast was tasty. This place is not the greatest I have been to but is definitely worth a visit. Lively views of the East Perth bay. Parking can be a bit difficult to find.

Alex L.

Yelp
The location is fabulous and from the outside it looks like the perfect cafe to enjoy a nice coffee or a fresh juice after a walk around the cove...... sadly thats where it ends. The views are amazing but the food is just average. Considering the prices are a little uphill the food just isn't the same in quality. Service also needs more attention, especially when things get busy it still needs to be at a high standard (sorry Toast).

Alexandra H.

Yelp
Toast is a just okay cafe nestled in a man-made fairly sterile cove in East Perth. The prices are on the high side and food quality is not great. I come here for fresh juices (which are very good) & coffee during my lunch breaks as it is very close to my work but would not bother to come on the weekend. Staff are very friendly although it gets very busy at times and wait times can get lengthy.

Jessie G.

Yelp
I came here because of the yelp reviews and I did love the place it's super retro/ hipster with the mismatched 'grandma' decor. There was no table service which I find really annoying but the staff behind the counter were super friendly. The coffee and food - nothing to get excited about but it does the job. Would be an awesome spot to dine after a walk around the river on a sunny day.

Igor W.

Yelp
I read exciting reviews about it by Chomchomp (Martine), I have to say that it's one of the best place in the city where to have breakfast or brunch secluded in a stunning location. Plenty of option to accommodate any special request about allergies.

John A.

Yelp
Because today was so beautiful the morning crowds were out in force, which resulted in a 30 minute wait for a table. The coffee and juices kept our hunger pangs at bay whilst we waited for our Sunday brekies to be served up. My scrambled eggs with Turkish bread arrived... But not quite, as I was expecting a little more on the plate and sadly there was no wow factor in the eggs. After I seasoned the eggs myself they were much more enjoyable. After some table fighting for plate real estate my friends dishes arrived and were appropriately devoured. After sinking into our chairs we soaked up the rays and admired the view. Food 6.5/10 service 7.5/10 decor 7/10 (decor is growing on me)

Radek S.

Yelp
Don't see what the fuss is about Came here for a very late brekkie or more so a brunch. Got in around 11am and the place was teeming with some very colorful people from the Perth Color (American spelling) Run. So probably a bit busier than usual. I have been here before and had both sweet and savoury crepes which were okay ... but I have had better. We decided on a cappuccino, some vanilla black tea and then a mushroom and herb omlette with toast and Potato & feta pancakes with poached eggs & smoked salmon. Where do I begin. The wait to sit down lasted a while. It was busier than usual so I let this slide. I understand being a popular breakfast spot in Perth there will always be a wait and in this case with the extra numbers from the run it was to be expected. We were then given a table IN THE SUN which we hesitantly took as there didn't seem to be any other options at the time. Luckily a table freed up inside and we were moved to that reasonably quickly. The coffee and tea took what seemed like an eternity to arrive. Were they growing the beans out the back first? Same went for the tea. There was water and glasses on the table to start to be fair. The service was also quiet friendly and professional. The meals came out and presentation wise neither of us was blown away. The mushroom and egg omlette tasted exactly like one you could make at home yourself and the "toast" on the side was literally what looked like the cheapest white toast you can buy from your local supermarket thrown into a toaster. As for my dish the potato "pancake" looked more like a fritter with smoked salmon and poached eggs the first egg I cut into was well overdone and at this point had me wondering why I had paid for this breakfast. The second egg was cooked perfectly and was runny when cut open. When this flavour mixed with the fritter which was naturally drier the total combination did taste okay. Still something I could have made at home. Considering we ate around an hour after we arrived and the meal still cost nearly $50 I left pretty unimpressed. I did leave with my hunger satisfied but I am sorry to say that the same can't be said for my taste buds. VERY UNIMPRESSED. I fail to see what the fuss is about this place. Honestly I won't be back. As I read in another review a while back if your happy to pay over $20 for basic bacon and eggs that you could make at home yourself WITH A LONG WAIT then go ahead. Otherwise try somewhere else.

Yelp
Sunday Breakfast of Champions. An international student friend on mine was leaving Perth and asked me to take her someone she hadn't been before. Somewhere with good food, in a good location and with a lovely atmosphere. Toast did not disappoint. It was lucky that we came at 10am because after 10:30am the queue became extraordinary. Whilst there was already a queue for tables it was not too long before we received a seat. We ordered the $19.90 Veggie Breakfast with a Short Mac $3.60 and a Full Breakfast $17.90 with a Long Mac $4.20. Whilst the place was incredibly busy the atmosphere and scenery was a wonderfully way to pass the time. Our food came in a reasonable time and most importantly was worth the wait. The toast was crunchy, the eggs were runny and the flavours were all there. I recommend Toast for breakfast/brunch, but I suggest you get in early.

Paris D.

Yelp
Toast is gorgeous! I've never seen anything like this before. It's themed in the extreme without ever crossing the tacky border. Outside, Toast is just a normal cafe in an incredible location within Claisebrook Cove. But as you walk inside, it is Parisian red, white and blue with cutesy everything - kids cups, retro chairs, faded curtains, sanded back wooden tables... And then there is the menu. Open for all day breakfast and lunch, they have the staples - bacon, eggs, toast (a lot of toast!), muffins - then a large section of the menu is dedicated to gourmet crepes and panini's. Delish! Highly recommended is the chicken, pumpkin and fetta panini - it is giant but worth finishing! And their smoothies and fresh juices are divine. Overall they do good food that won't break the bank while providing an atmosphere worth talking about. You might want to avoid peak breakfast & lunch times on weekends though unless you're prepared to fight for a table!

Melanie C.

Yelp
When we arrived, Toast was quite full as it was the peak hour lunch time but we were lucky to find ourselves a table. We placed our orders at the front counter after taking some time to analyze the menu and coming to a decision. I had the Eggs Norwegian ($18.50) and mum had the Full Breakfast ($22). Dad had the ham, swiss cheese, fresh basil, tomato, bush tomato and red pepper relish with sourdough flute ($11.90). The Eggs Norwegian was really good and the yolks were runny which is how I like my egg yolks to be. The bread was soft in the middle and the hollandaise sauce blended well with the smoked salmon. Adding a wedge of lemon gives a hint of freshness to the dish. Although it is a simple dish, it was full of flavour. I had a taste test of the full breakfast and it was very delicious. The portion may look small, but I think it was just nice for mum as she always aims to eat 70% full. The big breakfast consists of bacon, eggs (scrambled or poached), toast, chipolatas, grilled tomato and mushrooms which is what you would expect of your typical big breakfast. :) I tried a small portion of the ham and swiss cheese sourdough. The sourdough was soft in the middle and the ham and swiss cheese blended well with each other. The fresh basil, tomato, bush tomato and red pepper relish gives a hint of freshness to the dish. If you are in a hurry, this is the perfect "grab and go" dish as the dish is categorized under "Simple, Fast, Work Lunch" on the menu. After finishing our mains, we decided to order some coffee. Dad had the Latte ($3.90) and mum ordered the Vienna Coffee ($4.90). I did not try the coffee but I know my parents enjoyed it very much. I had the Strawberry Milkshake ($6.90) instead. I had no idea how I managed to finish the Strawberry Milkshake to myself. It was really a litre of goodness. We shared the almond and orange cake and it was really good. It was not too sweet which makes it easy to eat and the cake has a soft texture to it. Plus, it's gluten free too! Overall, my family and I enjoyed dining at Toast and we will definitely be back in the future to try the other dishes on the menu or specials. Although it is a bit on the expensive side, it is well worth it for the quality and freshness.

Damien W.

Yelp
The best coffee I have had in Perth The full breakfast is fantastic

Matthew S.

Yelp
All I can say is...Australians know how to do breakfast. After an early morning run, I felt I was up to the big breakfast. It included eggs of your choice, toast, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Excellent! You will not leave hungry! I will definitely be getting breakfast here again before I leave. Beautiful setting, great servers and good food!

Dee H.

Yelp
After a looooong wait, we were seated inside and man are we pleased we waited!! The cheesy scrambled eggs were fantastic! We will definitely be back very soon!

Andrea B.

Yelp
Wonderful place to have a meal, a coffee or a drink! The great view of the river increases the goodness of Toast. The service is really awesome and kind. Prices are Perth's prices but the quality is really good. I'm sure everyone will go there will enjoy it but pay attention, is usually almost full so you have to wait a lil bit or just be like to have a table. Go to Toast buddies! ;-)

Sarah E.

Yelp
Be careful if you are on a gluten free diet here. They have forgotten twice to give gluten free toast when ordered. Apart from keeping my friends and I on our toes I love the tea and juices. Plus the atmosphere and view is as always amazing. I love coming here for morning or afternoon tea. The golden sun hitting the water looks amazing. I feel like I'm in a Hiedelburg period painting.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Had brunch at this little cafe, great service and great food. Highly recommended when you are next in East Perth

Allan M.

Yelp
WOW! Discovered this great small breakfast cafe because friend had just booked into THE SEBEL Hotel and we were looking for a place to have a bite to eat Even thou it was 2pm on a Sunday . the menu is amazing with so much delicious options . and the prices reasonable serve sizes were generous . and the staff friendly and efficient and fast . Its a great location right on the Claisebrook Cove waterfront .Seating in and outdoors . I'll be back and will recommend as a great place to relax over a great meal with a friend . PS.negative comments are just that .You cannot please everybody

Rani S.

Yelp
Valentines Day sister date at Toast was a nice experience. The weather was shiny and the service smiley. Well done on handling the crowd and some impatient people. We lined up outside with about 8 others and out little rubber duckie. It took less than 10mins to get a seat and we were given water and menus straight away. It's an order at the counter service and we were inside so given it was a busy day and the drinks service counter is in the path of customers trying to order..the place felt a little 'organised chaos' something that doesn't faze me, if anything it's almost entertaining and the staff were nice and genuine. I had the avo and corn fritters with hollandaise, and it was tasty. Although I'm guessing because of current Avocado prices I only got 3 slivers of avocado which given the size of the fritters made the dish seem a little out of balance. I would have loved a handful of rocket to give some fresh crunch and pepper-iness maybe made the economic portion of avocado seem less obvious. Coffee was good, eggs were perfect and hollandaise home-made and all very delicious. I think this will be a new weekend ritual.

Yelp
Out of 5; locale 4, food 2.5, service 3.5, value 2 Lovely view onto Claise Brook Cove, seating is indoors/under cover flowing to alfresco. Seating density is high, furniture is eclectic casual in keeping with the laid back easy going feel. Service was friendly and helpful given it was a warm, busy Sunday morning. Food was OK but not much better than I could whip up at home. I had the Norwegian poached eggs with salmon on muffin - at $17.50, a bit of garnishing or razzle dazzle may have distracted me from value gap of expectation and reality. Our first visit to Toast...so maybe one more chance. My 10yr old son rated locale 3.5, food 3.5, service 3.5, value 1.5 (and he didn't pay!)

Lilli D.

Yelp
I've always wanted to go to Toast in the morning but it is packed every day. My boss and I went down at about 10:30 so I figured it would of cleared out a bit...it hadn't. but we were still able to get a table inside. Lots of business people seem to go there. You have to line up to order. We had the fresh lemonade and cake but the wait was quite a while for something so small. I ended up leaving the lemonade after a few sips because there was something that didn't taste right about it. I will give it another shot though to actually try the food.

Tracy C.

Yelp
Toast is one of my favourite places in East Perth for a leisurely breakfast. It is right on the water in Claisebrook Cove. The place is crammed full of tables and chairs, and on the weekends it is packed. Beware, they do not take reservations, so you just have to rock up and try your luck, or at least be prepared to wait. As the name suggest they have many different types of toast on the menu, as well as all the normal breakfast favourites and both sweet and savoury crepes. My celiac friends - they do have gluten free options. Yay.

Marcus J.

Yelp
Good Breakfast, love the croissant with scrambeled eggs, something different and the fresh juice was beautiful the only let down was the coffee - it was pretty ordinary.

Ben G.

Yelp
This place is trying to be a little bohemian joint, yet they provide us with shoes if we come in bare foot even though we're sitting outside. $13.20 for two ice coffees, with just Ice but still tasted like cold milk.

Yelp
Very much like it. Although in Sunday will be a long queeing. But the place is not very have space but it worth it to have delicious breakfast. Try the yum bacon egg toast with poached egg, caramelised pancakes with some rocket leaves with a hot coffee here .

Yelp
Love this place. Go there at least once a month! They have a great menu and have a specials board too. Plenty of hot and cold options. It's just lovely to sit outside beside the water. Very relaxing. Friendly service too, there's always staff on hand to grab extra chairs/tables as we usually have 6/7 of us!

Yelp
I will not be returning to toast as my meal was horrible - I arrived there at 1:05pm and received my meal at 1:47 (a considerably long time to wait for bacon and eggs on toast) as most would think waiting that long the meal would have to be bloody good... Well it was anything but!!! My eggs were not cooked properly and cold - the bacon was dry and burnt also cold and the toast tasted like it had been toasted 2 days ago and again COLD. I am so angry about this because I was looking forward to it and I was absolutely starrrrrrrving. Disappointed

Yelp
Great location, massive choice of breakfast options and very friendly staff. There is a good reason you struggle to get a table at this place. I'll be a regular for sure!
