My first visit to this stylish cosy boutique of clothing. I am mesmerised by the friendly approach by staff showing and explaining insight into design philosophy. A real treat to attend slow Sunday sketching from a still-life setup workshop. An atmosphere not to forget aswell as the range of men's wear catered to fit an Artisans lifestyle in subtle colours. Highly recommend a visit for the style savy who enjoys to pamper oneself.

Amazing help from staff - with sizing, colours, different shapes. Incredibly patient and attentive without being pushy, authentic and lovely folks working there. It was such a pleasure! The store is beautiful and larger than other Toast stores I’ve been to in London, a real aesthetic treat to immerse yourself in.

I’m a bit weird. I only buy clothes here and in charity shops. And I mostly buy dresses. Sue me. I like the way this shop runs initiatives - like the free mending, and the swaps and the selling of fabrics which let us know they are putting a certain sort of idealism on par with profit - I’m deeply impressed by their understanding of how to build a brand. And it’s on point for what I and I’m sure many others like. A piece from here, though not wildly expensive takes on the cadence of a legacy buy. Very smart toast. And the staff are great

My worn but well-loved TOAST Fair Isle jumper was mended by your wonderful repair specialist in Westbourne Grove this week. What can I say? She did an AMAZING job! My jumper was beautifully (and quickly) restored and returned to me for just a small postage charge. Thank you so much.

Was excited to go in the shop after lockdown. Bad mannered male shop assistant expecting his nice colleague beneath him to run around doing everything. Whilst she was finding a shoe size, he shouted at her to go and open the front door when he could have done it himself. Very strict Covid system allowing very few people into an empty store with a bell and locked door. All in all, the shop is so concerned about locking people out or in that they don't give enough attention to customers ... Will be buying online next.

Always a great experience visiting this Toast store. Samuel and Jenny, in particular, are always friendly, helpful and courteous when I visit. It makes it a special experience. It’s amazing that they always remember me, even though I only go to London twice yearly...

Lived on Westbourne Grove for 8 years and only just ventured into this shop and I'm so annoyed I didn't go in sooner. Fantastic, cool and trendy boho style clothing. Now i'm obsessed and will be frequenting more when the shops reopen

Yelp
Mid-range label that sells sweaters and other warm clothes to keep you "toasty." Everything here is pretty ordinary in terms of look and design... nothing's too spectacularly interesting or special as far as their fashion goes, but it's a good place if you're headed out on a trek or elsewhere where you'll be in need of lots utilitarian wear to keep out the chill. That said, this place is nice in that you know you can rely on them for all of your wintery trappings. Count on them for things like wool socks and other essential December accessories - generally of good quality and in a wide variety of nice colours. Much like the apparel, the atmosphere here is pretty generic - maybe not to the point of being absolutely blah, and if they were on the high street, they'd probably come across as cozily charming, but it's just that they certainly don't stand out among all of the other cute boutiques to be discovered in Notting Hill.

Yelp
This used to be a French Connection concept store (ie no branding, but a cafe instead) and has now been taken over by Toast. The shop stocks a nice collection of comfortable womenswear with quite a country feel to it - without looking too boring. It has quite a nice and clean, almost Scandinavian feel to it. A room towards the back houses a home collection which further adds to the homely atmosphere of the shop.

Yelp
English country mixed with French farmer on an unmuddy and well dressed day. Toast Clothing is simple but charming, nice but more impressive on paper than the in reality. The homeware however, and the styling of the shop is exquisite and calmly draws you in through the doors. These are clothes made for the understated woman who opts for quality over cheap styles of the masses. Be prepared to pay a bit extra to shop here, but be treated like royalty.

Yelp
Nil points to Toast. I bought a cardi and it is unwearably bobbled after two wearings and they have refused to give me a refund as they had a disclaimer on their site. I had felt loyalty to this company and have loved their clothes but I see now that my loyalty was misplaced. Their knitwear is increasingly subject to bobbling,so watch out folks. They don't give a damn about you as a valued customer!!

Yelp
I Love Toast clothing but always find staff really pompous and stand offish with slight patronising edge. Nothing they do wrong, just lack of social skills. Toast has a certain type of staff they go for; modern young person with fashion sense. However, they should invest more time in getting people who are good at sales. I am often put off going into their stores due to this. islington store is no better. Once I bought a top, washed it and then realised it had tons of small holes in it, such as those made by a moth. It was a matter of a day or so so I returned it. The sales assistant in Islington branch was so patronising and assured me I must have a moth problem. I had to point out several times that in 2 days since the day of purchase, and having washed it and dried in in the open air, this would be unlikely and it was more likely this happened in their warehouse. She then proceeded to make me feel bad over washing it before wearing it, saying this is abnormal. Very unsophisticated staff and when you are paying £89 for a t-shirt you expect different level of service.
