So we used to frequent TFG at the old location and have missed it, but on a wander through the city we found them again...happy days!
We had the Snoop Hogg and Chillionairre, love the names as per always. I was very happy with the food, the Snoop Hogg had a pleasant sweet note and a solid mid note, it tapered and didn't have an end note which was fine as the flavour profile was nicely balanced. The Chillionairre was a star, full jalapeno flavour to begin, solid gruyere mid note and a late building heat, this was fantastic. I would order it next time so I didn't have to steal bites from the wife.
It was a little disappointing the more unique sandwiches are no longer being offered, they used to have a gouda and pear(among other ingredients) sandwich and the joy of TFG was finding something unique you could never have anywhere else.
In addition, the new store lacks that unique off-the-grid feel of the old place, the seating area was both communal and separate, hard to explain but it made the whole experience unique. Now there is lots of merch right in your face as you walk in, not sure about any of that.
We will be back, the pricing is very reasonable, the food is well thought out and the staff is friendly.
