They provide a truly high-quality experience that makes you feel supported and inspired. My audience loved the authenticity and charm of the space—every detail added to the magic of the event. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We have been hosting our annual cyber security event, The NightWatch with the Tobacco Theater for several years. The planning and support are impeccable, the venue is beautiful and full of character, and the staff are like an extension of our own team. The team truly listens and works with you to create the most perfect and successful event.

Very cool theatre. I was there to host a wonderful show called Art Noufaux. Had a great time. Very recommendable! Go and see the next show! Staff is nice and professional, everything was well taken care of.

We had our company Pop-up office here and it was a great experience. Unique venue and the service was fantastic. Britt our day coordinator was amazing. From pre-event meeting to discuss our needs to accommodating last minute changes and requests. We would definitely use Tobacco Theater again and will highly recommend.

What an unforgettable Women’s Day at the historic Tobacco Theater in Amsterdam Center! I had the pleasure of presenting my mini festival on March 8, 2025, and it was a night to remember. The venue itself exudes a unique blend of Amsterdam’s artistic spirit and modern museum vibes, with multiple versatile spaces perfectly suited for both creative and commercial events. The friendly, professional, and creative team at Tobacco Theater truly made the night seamless. Our mini festival featured an incredible lineup: • 5:30 PM – Dansor set the vibe in the Main Hall • 6:30 PM – Dinner time turned magical as Duo Laroo/Byrd, with mystery guest Sharon Doelwijt and live calligraphy by Hong from Taiwan, debuted our new song The Women’s Blues • 7:45 PM – Stewlocks rocked Het Bankgeheim with rap & beatbox, while Maarten Russchen filled Studio with soulful acoustic tunes (dessert was served too!) • 8:30 PM – Dansor returned to the Main Hall with more cool beats • 9:00 PM – The full Saskia Laroo Band delivered a rousing show in the Main Hall, playing The Women’s Blues once again. The band lineup featured: - Saskia Laroo – trumpet, vocals, alto sax - Warren Byrd – keys & vocals - MC Complex & MC Stewlocks – rap vocals & beatbox - Maarten Russchen – guitar & vocals - Oeds Bouwsma – bass - Willem Smid – drums • 10:30–11:00 PM – Dansor wrapped up the night with epic DJ sets A huge thank you to Tobacco Theater for hosting our mini festival. Special thanks to Sydney for the fantastic photos and to Simone for expertly hosting and managing our artists. Attended the Web3 afterparty at Tobacco Theater and was genuinely impressed by the venue. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this place is steeped in history but brought to life with a modern, creative twist. The interior had a raw yet refined charm—brick walls, dramatic lighting, and a layout that works perfectly for networking and events. The sound system was top-tier. Every DJ set felt immersive, with the music perfectly balanced throughout the space. It never felt too loud to have a conversation, yet it still carried enough punch to keep the energy high. The acoustics definitely added to the atmosphere. The crowd was a mix of innovators, artists, and creatives which really brought the space to life. You could feel the buzz in the air—everyone was there to connect, share ideas, and have a great time. The setup encouraged mingling, and the flow of the event was smooth from start to finish. Bar service was efficient, and drinks were decent in variety. While Amsterdam prices are never cheap, they didn’t feel excessive for the setting. The bartenders kept things moving despite the crowd size, which is always appreciated during packed events. The lighting and visuals throughout the night were also a standout. Subtle enough to not distract from the conversations but vibrant enough to elevate the vibe. The Tobacco Theater clearly knows how to host a proper afterparty with a touch of class. Would absolutely recommend this venue for anyone hosting or attending a creative, tech, or cultural event in Amsterdam. It blends sophistication and edge perfectly. A memorable night in a memorable setting.

I went here for a corporate outing, and enjoyed every bit of bit. Being a vegetarian, I was a bit skeptical about the premise, but TOBACCO delivered, and delivered wonderfully. The location is ideal. It's in the center of the city, but isolated enough to be charming. Of course, it's also surrounded by some of the city's best cultural icons. The actual cooking stations are downstairs in a very cosy atmosphere. I have never seen anything like this before, but to me the kitchen was quite contemporary, and the ingredients fresh. The chefs had already planned the entire menu. It was quite a lot of fun to cook with my colleagues while sipping on wine and beer. A lot of pictures were taken. Afterwards, we were all seated down at the three dinner tables as the staff served our creations. There was a gas fireplace as well. I would love to come back with a smaller group of friends and acquaintances. You just cannot go wrong with cooking something delicious. This is the next new way to make close friends!

Went to Tobacco Theater for company's Xmas party. It was a wonderful evening. It started with the warm welcome at the door and then I was lead to the cloakroom, where I had a possibility to leave all of my stuff, like laptop, bag, as well. The party started with few drinks in a beautiful cellar/ basement. We had few drinks there followed by delicious small snacks - small hamburger, pita sandwich, amuse of tuna with sesame seeds and goat cheese. All were delicious and just made everyone to crave more food. After about an hour we moved to the main room. It was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and just brought us all into Christmas atmosphere. The official party started with a gymnastics/ acrobatics show on the ropes hanging from the ceiling, then the food followed. It was a very delicious buffet. We had a choice of: pumpkin salad with goat cheese, beetroot salad with rocket and feta, roasted potatoes, salmon, small beefsteaks, green beans and many more. All was delicious and very refreshing. We had our own dj who was rocking the evening's music. Staff was very helpful and comforting. Ah...and when we started getting little bit hungry after all the dancing and drinking they brought us some small cups of french fries with mayonnaise - what a great idea!! It is a great venue for a company's party or any other private party!!! Highly recommended!!

i went here for a sushi making class and had no idea what to expect since a cooking class in a theater didn't make much sense to me? BUT... downstairs was a full professional kitchen and it was gorgeous. It actually had a mexican like decor to it which was beautiful. lovely half circle archways with beautiful iron gates and rust colored walls with beautiful art work and interesting antique vignettes all over. Upstairs is the theater area with a stage and full bar. I have yet to attend an event at the Theater but if i ever come across one i'll be sure to check it out! The space is so beautiful everywhere. it's not to small and not to big.
