An 8-day Sailing Trip to This Part of the Caribbean Became My Family's Most Adventurous Trip Yet
"The ultimate objective of the voyage: a cluster of five tiny, uninhabited islets protected by a healthy barrier reef and now designated as a national marine park. The area was promised to offer 'secluded white-sand beaches, pristine snorkeling sites, and a marine sanctuary where we could swim alongside green turtles.' It contains globally significant mangrove systems and sea-turtle nesting sites; when asked, “So where are the Cays?” the captain replied simply, “Further.”" - David LaHuta

This Country Was Named the Best 'Nature Destination' in the Caribbean
"The Tobago Cays, within Marine Park, is a five-island paradise, where sea turtles roam freely (and where visitors can easily navigate the crystal-clear waters with a snorkel and mask). Accessible via boat ride from the main island of St. Vincent, a visit to this sanctuary remains one of the iconic experiences of any trip to the island group." - Hannah Selinger

Inside Canouan, the Caribbean Island You've Probably Never Heard Of
"Tobago Cays comprises five uninhabited islands and a protected coral reef, offering some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean." - Travel + Leisure Editors
Visited in high season, so, expectedly very crowded. Pretty area for sure, but we found better and more enjoyable beach locations on Bequia. Did a tour with "beach bbq" lunch which was ok but pricey for a what felt like a crowded family reunion with a cash bar

Beautiful set of small islands or Cays east of Bequia and northeast of Union Island in St Vincent and the Grenadines. This is a popular place for boats and catamarans to sail to and admire the reefs, the sea turtles and to do some snorkeling. As you can see from the photo from the airplane on the way out, the area has some stunning blue water and reefs. I would hazard a guess that a chatter to this area might get you a better view of the waters around the cats and perhaps some better snorkeling. A great stop on a boat tour!

This place was amazing and I highly recommend seeing it in your lifetime if you can. Saw so much great marine life it was mind blowing. Sting rays, eagle rays, sea turtles, conch, star fish. It was beyond amazing and can’t wait to go again.

Absolutely gorgeous place. I had the best lobster dinner ever, on an uninhabited island no less! The nightly dinner on Petit Rameau is a must.

Pristine gem in the middle of the Caribbean.
Please - protect it more. There are too many boats around the place.

We sailed from Mustique to Tobago Cays and into a warm summer shower. The water was clear and so refreshing. We anchored between the two cays for the evening. Beautiful sunrise and another brief shower. We met another sailor from St. Johns and we relaxed on the beach for the remainder of the morning. Southward bound....
