Tobermory Distillery Visitor Centre

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tobermory Distillery for their whisky tour, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, instantly making us feel welcome. They shared fascinating insights into the distillery's history and the intricate process of whisky-making, which made the tour both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. The whisky tasting was a real highlight, and even though one member of our group doesn’t drink, they still found the tour fascinating thanks to the guide’s engaging explanations and the rich history of the distillery. It’s an experience that caters to everyone. The distillery itself is full of charm, and the stunning surroundings of Tobermory only added to the experience. Overall, the Tobermory whisky tour is a must for any whisky enthusiast or anyone looking for a fun and informative day out. I highly recommend it!

There are free guided tours this weekend and I was lucky enough to be in a small group with Abbie as guide. She was very informative of both the history of Tobermory Distillery and the whisky making process. An excellent hour spent, loved the 12yo Tobermory & bought a bottle Highly recommend. I was already a fan of Tobermory's whiskies (and their gin) before my tasting, so I did a reserve tasting at the distillery and was wowed by the quality of the whiskies we tried (and bought a delicious port-finished whisky). Great, informative small-group tasting; worth every penny.

Great visit, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, special shout out to Olivier and Josephine. Small groups and interesting facts about the distillery, no questions left unanswered. We were tasting: Tobermory 12 and Ledaig 10. Lots of gift options in the shop.

Make sure you get Alan as your guide. Great guy. Fun, friendly, cheerful, very knowledgable. Makes other tours seem dull.

Incredible whiskey tasting with Alin guiding our group through the history of Tobermory Distillery. Each sample built well off of one another and developed into a wonderful tasting experience. Super happy I traveled here for this awesome experience.

Visited as a group of 3 on a rainy day where whisky was most welcome. We very much enjoyed our tour and the visit overall. The guide Kirsty was knowledgeable and friendly. She was full of facts about the distillery and whisky in general. Enjoyed the tasting and we did not feel rushed as we have at some of other distillery tours elsewhere that we've done so would happily recommended to others if visiting Tobermory.
