Tobys Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at Tobys. The staff were helpful, the rooms clean. Two pools to choose from and the restaurant has great breakfast. It is a close walk to the beach and shops in town. Not a high end resort but a nice place to stay.

Clean, comfortable, safe environment and perfect location - walking distance to Doctor’s cave beach and a number of other bars and restaurants. Food at the restaurant was excellent and prices were reasonable. Would stay here again.

Great place to stay and be close to all the action without breaking the bank. Rooms were updated and spacious with walk in shower and great AC. The pool was very nice and a great place to cool off during the hottest part of the day. When we were there it was very quiet and although the hotel was fully booked it, did not seem that way. The restaurant had good Jamaican options at reasonable price. We were also able to host a luncheon for 24 people with no fuss or complications. They proved everything for the meal and even servers to make sure things went smooth. There was some road noise but we slept like babies after a full day playing in the sun. Lots of places nearby to eat and shop as well. we would recommend patties at the Devon house ice cream hut near the Hussain Bold restaurant and JR fried chicken (minutes walk) from the hotel. As for beaches within walking distance; Drs Cave beach is the best on the island but Sunset beach is free although not as secure. Definitely will be back.

My partner and I stayed here for five nights, and we loved it. We didn’t know what to expect with reviews online, but none of them were true to our experience at Tobys. The hip strip and Doctors Cave were so easily accessible from this location, our excursions even picked us up right from the lobby. We walked everywhere from here due to the amazing location. At the end of a long day, we always looked forward to going back to Tobys, getting a drink/food at the poolside bar, and going for a swim in the pool. That was our routine for 5 nights!! Although it is close to the hip strip and airport, it wasn’t super loud. The poolside music stopped by 9/10pm every night (sometimes earlier). We sleep with white noise baseline, so with our white noise playing from my phone we couldn’t hear any traffic noise, without it i believe we would be fine as well. As far as our room goes, it was poolside and perfect. As young travelers we are not too picky as long as we have a comfortable bed (very comfortable), AC (very proficient), and a bathroom/shower (great!). The Tv was an added bonus, although the wifi waxed and waned sometime, we were able to watch a movie every night by logging into our streaming services on the firestick. Special side note to the house keepers who cleaned our sandy floors every day and made our bed super nicely every day. They always greeted us in the morning with a big smile asking what they can do for us, it was very nice.

Great location. Not on the beach so it gets you outside the resort into the local area.. Located right off hip strip where there are beaches, shops and restaurants. Clean room, the property is nice and clean. Pool area nice that had a DJ and bar. I will be returning and recommend

We choose to stay here for 1 night with our late flight into the area before checking into another resort. The shuttle took quite a while to pick us up at the airport after calling twice . The room is a been "damp" - needs a dehumidified and it was still noisy in the courtyard area after midnight on the friday night that we got there but otherwise the room and amenities were consider with the price we paid.

In the past, I loved this property because it had a party vibe around the pool and great food especially the fried chicken. PROS Close to airport. Nice food options- curry chicken or goat...Breakfast Tropical French Toast (chef kiss 💋) Food prices reasonable Wash Clothes provided Refrigerator in my room CONS Fried Chicken 🍗 wasn't spectacular The Front Desk Staff Dry-Cold Additional card fees for using credit card Everything seems to get silent at 7pm on some days Pillows are super thin

The resort is located just a mile and a half away from the international airport and is walking distance from the Doctor's Cave Beach. They have three pools, a restaurant and chill music played near the pool with drinks most of the day. Staff are friendly. Rooms were clean. You get what you pay for. Parking is quite challenging, so be mindful of that.
