Tobys Resort

Toby's is a solid 3-star property. That's not a bad thing, especially at this price point. I stayed at Toby's on my last night in Jamaica so that I could be close to the airport. The property is located right at the end of the Hip Strip only about a mile from MBJ (you can actually walk there) and 3 minutes from Doctor's Cave Beach. My room was spacious, clean, and reasonably renovated. The bed was comfortable, the grounds were well maintained, and the property was secured. There was plenty of hot water in the shower and good water pressure. If you're driving, they offer free on-site parking, although the lot is small and precarious to navigate when it's full. I ate dinner at the restaurant. The aesthetic can use some help, but the food was tasty and the staff was super-friendly. Toby's is as-advertised and I'd definitely stay there again. Oh - a "pro tip": there are curtains on the main windows (not in the bathroom, though) but it's pretty bright in the morning. So, if light disrupts your sleep, I'd bring a sleep mask.

I stayed here for 4 nights and it was my first time staying at this resort. It was amazing. The location is walking distance to hip strip where all the shops and attractions are. The staff is friendly and kind with great customer service. The food is amazing. They have a large variety of food items on the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer room service too. Michael who works there was so helpful. Housekeeping is kind as well.

Great spot. Stayed here after american airlines stranded us for 3 days after a snowstorm. Pros - Clean rooms, excellent kept grounds, 24 hr security, cold A/c , good customer care, great food at onsite restaurant, close to hip strip and beaches. Cons - bartenders at pool bar were absolutely awful. No character!

I was very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and neatly decorated, the staff was very friendly and respectful. The restaurant was the highlight for us, the food and the service was great. We are already looking forward to visiting this place. I like that it is right by the airport, within walking distance from the beach, shopping and the night life party places.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced place in Montego Bay. This is the one. Even after the recent hurricane, they are up and running. It is a very peaceful resort that is close to enough other stuff to make it worth it. There are free beaches within walking distance and also beaches. Where you can pay within walking distance. It blows my mind that people choose a very cheap place to stay and then expect the all inclusive vibe. After spending three weeks inland repairing homes after hurricane melissa this is definitely a Jamaican resort that is worth every penny.

Great location from MoBay airport, Michael the bartender was the BEST attribution to the whole place - met house keeping on last day of 2 days stay - trusted with only 1 beach towel although I swam ALL days until the end - traveled pool to pool 😔 Didn't feel they planned for me - booked months ago - & I felt like an after thought... My co-travelers were treated great, had awesome rooms tho - I'll NEVER bother them with my time or 💰 again 🤷🏾

Found this gem after being duped (out of thousands of dollars as well as precious vacation time) via 3rd party apps and fake friends. I am forever grateful to have been brought to this resort by local couple I found in town (who drove me to the strip after learning of what happened). Delicious Jamaican and American food on site (and reasonably priced), the beach is actually right across the street, clean pools, and a view! I am in awe at how quickly such a small resort has rebuilt itself after a natural disaster. Being a solo, female traveler - I made new forever friends from all over the world- but also felt super safe and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at Tobys. Thank you to Carly, Michael, and Olando - for all of the things 🌻 I am looking forward to my next trip back and will be staying here!

I booked this hotel for 7 nights and after 2 horrible and unsettling interactions with the rude and unprofessional woman at the front desk, I canceled my stay before my trip. I called about a ground floor room and a queen sized bed. Apparently, my request bothered her. I have never been treated with such disrespect by an establishment that I am paying money to. Thankfully, Expedia got my money back when I told them what happened. Stay away!
