We didn't love this place, which is centrally located near major tourist destinations, though absolutely lacking good brunch, coffee, bars, or any other non-sanitized experiences. For the first two nights, we stayed in the six-bed room, which had one shared bathroom. This was nice compared to having bathrooms in a hall shared by more people, but the process was inefficient, and I felt like it got cleaned less than a hallway bathroom would. The people were menaces, which you can't blame the hostel for, but they were around at bizarre hours, hacking and howling in the bathroom, stealing towels, and leaving a mess. We moved to a private bedroom for the final night, and the front desk was unfazed, never asking why. The private bedroom was affordable and, frankly, night and day; I had no issue with that.
Wi-Fi across the property was poor. I appreciated that towels were free (unlike other hostels, including the TOC in BCN). Air conditioning was SO lacking in the shared room but good in the private room. In the shared room, street noise was unbearable; in the private room, it was nonexistent.
It was a mixed experience across the board, and I think it depends on what room you choose and who you are with (if applicable). On an administrative level and aesthetic perspective, I had no issues.
