We got the Ribeye and the Salmon - both absolutely delicious. You could taste every ingredient and flavour. The Insalata Mista had a very unique dressing that we loved. Exceptional service and attention to detail! We were well taken care of the whole time and felt very welcomed; thanks Zaki and Grace. Great ambience with chic interior, fresh flowers and a peek into the kitchen.

The Ritz Carlton is a wonderful hotel and I wanted to share my experience at the restaurant on the 2nd floor Toca. The service was great and I liked the lighting and colours they used I felt like they hit the spot right in the middle where it isn’t too bright and it isn’t too dark. They have a cheese container they size of a walk in closet you can see where all there cheese is kept fresh, as well as cutting stations where you can watch prosciutto be prepped right in front of you. The food was delicious my only critique was the portions felt a little scarce but I must say their bread they brought out before the meal was delicious.

The best Canadian breakfast I’ve ever had! The pineapple juice tasted incredibly fresh, and the mint tea was served perfectly warm. I can’t believe I’m raving about jam, butter, and toast—but trust me, it was worth every penny. We didn’t even have to wait; we were ushered in right away, and the staff were so courteous. I’m definitely coming back next time for brunch and dinner.

Elegant Dining Experience – A True Toronto Gem TOCA exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and professional, and the atmosphere was refined yet welcoming — perfect for a special night out. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. The house-made pasta was a standout, and the cheese cave experience is something truly unique — highly recommended for any cheese lover!

It’s been a long time but I used to love coming here for the brunch all your can eat buffet and unlimited mimosas. i cant wait to come try their current brunch buffet offerings. i love the service here. it is like being on cloud 9 in a foodie’s heaven. the cheese room they often use for the dessert cave is such a treat with the biggest spread of different desserts available.

We had a booth in view of the kitchen and the restaurant ambiance was calm and very much so enjoyable. I loved every dish I had. The beef tartare was comparable to what I’ve had at Michelin restaurants. The pasta was amazing. I only wish they had sweeter options for cocktails. The service was excellent. Had a great birthday dinner.

I had a fantastic lunch at TOCA for Winterlicious! The $55 lunch menu was a treat, featuring delicious Italian dishes. 🥗Appetizers: my friend and I enjoyed fresh Autumn Burrata Salad, and the flavorful Castelfranco & Pickled Mushrooms salad. 🍳Main Course: The Branzino with Manila Clams was fresh and tasty, and the Cacio e Pepe pasta was rich with a perfect balance of pepper and cheese. 🍮Desserts: Both the Fig & Quince Crostata and Gianduja Semifreddo were delicious and a great end to the meal. TOCA offers great food and an elegant atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion. Highly recommend!

Celebrated our 15 year anniversary at Toca since we were staying at the Ritz Carlton. Had a lovely meal and the service was impeccable…our server Ali was attentive throughout. From wishing us a happy anniversary and serving us complimentary champagne on arrival (and an orange juice for our 9 year old daughter), to the service throughout the meal. My wife ordered the lamb, I the pork chop and our daughter the pasta and they were all excellent. Highly recommend for special occasions!

Yelp
The food was good but we ordered fairly basic... eggs benedict and breakfast scramble. They kept me well hydrated though. The service was very attentive as you would expect from a Ritz restaurant. The cheese locker was amazing to see!

Yelp
This review is overdue- my boyfriend and I picked this restaurant for Winterlicious to enjoy lunch at an upscale place. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a friendly young gentleman and he took our coats (so that we can dine comfortably). Our waitress was friendly and upbeat. She welcomed us and informed us about their other items on the regular menu. Then she left, so that we can decide what to order. My boyfriend picked a salad with a ball of mozzarella (appetizer), squash gnocchi (main) and a semifreddo (dessert). I chose a soup with maple glazed bacon (appetizer), a fish with other seafood (main) and a chocolate cake (dessert). All the dishes that I had were delicious- the ingredients were fresh and there was a variety of flavours. However, the dishes that my boyfriend ordered were the opposite- he said that the freshness was there, but the flavour was lacking. Therefore, the only dish that he really enjoyed was the dessert. Throughout our meal, our waitress came by to check-in on us and to ensure that our water was filled. It was quiet and we had a lovely time eating our lunch and chatting. This place would be a great place to go to for special occasions. As it is an upscale restaurant, you will pay higher price- something to keep in mind. We hope to visit again in the future to try other items on their regular menu.

Yelp
Food was really good! Service was excellent as well. There is free coat check. The atmosphere, though, I expected it to be more luxurious. When I came in with a reservation, all the tables were full except for the middle table, which wasn't as nice, but I took it anyway. Food 9/10 Service 9/10 Ambiance 7/10

Yelp
Came here for Winterlicious lunch! Toca is located on the second floor of the Ritz. When we arrived on the Saturday for lunch, there were a couple other patrons dining. We both ordered the potato leek soup for appetizer. I think soup comes with truffle oil but didn't really taste the hint of truffle. Otherwise, it was great tasting soup to start off with ahead of the heavier type of main dishes we ordered. For the mains, we ordered the squash agnolotti and coppa di maiale. The agnolotti wasn't what I expected - it tasted like a dessert pasta, as the kabocha squash filling made it very sweet. Not a fan of this dish but maybe it's because I am a savoury kind of gal than sweet. The pasta however did taste fresh. The coppa di maiale was a 24 hour sous vide pork neck with celery root puree. The pork neck, was unfortunately on the drier side. I think it needed to be paired with a gravy or sauce to compensate. The best part of the meal was dessert. We ordered the tarta di caprese which was a chocolate cake with almond gelato and apple compote. The server recommended we had all the components in one bite. It was a delicious bite with all those flavours combined! The chocolate cake itself wasn't overly sweet, but the apple compote and almond gelato make it into a perfectly sweet and balanced dessert. Overall, not a bad lunch, I think the mains needed tweaking for Winterlicious. I might come back another time for their regular menu to try other pasta dishes or for dessert!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I decided to eat at TOCA for Toronto's annual summerlicious festival menu- it's safe to say that this restaurant delivered 100% on every course they provided. When we arrived at our reservation they seated us and handed us their dinner menu. As soon as we stepped in, the ambiance was extremely classy and upscale, lower lighting and plush chairs and cushions for us to sit on. The service provided by the hostess(Milagros) was lovely; she asked about our plans after to make sure that we were able to get out on time. We were immediately given water and time to deicide what we would want for our courses. I ended up ordering the Amberjack Crudo for my appetizer, the Alberta 40oz Ribeye (medium rare) for my starter, and the Lemon Ricotta cake for my dessert. My girlfriend got the Calamari for her appetizer, the same Ribeye (medium well), and the Hazelnut cake for dessert. The Amberjack Crudo was my favourite out of everything that we had ordered; the fish was served in thin raw slices (kind of like sashimi), and the orange vinaigrette paired very nicely with the freshness of the Amberjack. There were also heirloom tomato slices to keep the dish light and fresh. I would definitely come back just for this dish. The Alberta Ribeye was good, I wouldn't say outstanding. Personally, i don't think there was anything that stood this steak out from any other steak at all different restaurant. In favour of Toka, their plating and garnish was very nice and classy, so they get extra points for that. After our two dishes, we were offered complimentary tea/ coffee to cleanse our palette, which i thought was thoughtful of them. I ended up getting an Earl grey tea with some honey on the side, and my girlfriend got a French vanilla with hazelnut syrup. Throughout all of these courses, our table stayed consistently clean, with the waiter making sure to take away anything that was already used or finished. We finally got the dessert, the lemon ricotta cake and the hazelnut cake. Both of our dishes came with sorbet/ gelato on the side, and both were garnished with fresh fruits. The lemon ricotta cake was very light and fluffy, it's definitely the right thing to order after eating food that was a little more on the heavier side. The lemon sorbet was a little too much citrusy for me, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I tried a little bit of the hazelnut cake as well, that one is a little more dense and heavier, still delicious though. Overall, experience- wise and food quality- wise, this dinner was well worth it. After paying $75/ person plus tip, i feel like this was an appropriate price point for going out to an expensive restaurant while still getting your moneys worth. Will definitely come back for next year's summerlicious menu!

Yelp
I got the sword fish dish and it was so flavorful, filling and refreshing. I also got the watermelon cocktail and added lemon and really enjoyed it. The service was great!!

Yelp
I had supper Monday evening at TOCA with friends. It's the first time we have all been together in 4 years. I had Tagliatelle Bolognese (Beef and Pork Bolognese, Green Peas, Olive Oil). It was good but cold. I didn't want to make a fuss so ate it as it was. One friend is retiring and I retired last year so Luis, our server, surprised us with two desserts to share. Luis was friendly and helpful and took excellent care of us. Because we were a party of six, a 20% service charge was automatically added.

Yelp
We came to TOCA for an early 5:30pm dinner, and were seated to the side of the dining room. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely, with a plethora of frames adorning the walls, unique light fixtures, and elegant furnishings. We ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara and pesce spada (swordfish). The carbonara was tossed in a parmesan wheel right in the center of the restaurant, and tasted pretty good. I was less impressed with the fish, which leaned on the bland side. The gnocchi was the better part of the dish, rather than the protein centerpiece. We got a peach dessert that was on the menu in honour of TIFF, and because it was my partner's birthday, they also brought us a complimentary slice of cassata (ice cream cake with pistachio, rosemary, and rhubarb). Both desserts were delicious. Service here did not disappoint - we really felt well taken care of throughout our meal. Since TOCA is located inside the Ritz, it may be hard to notice without online research. If the taste of the food was improved a notch, this restaurant would be a prime location for a special occasion.

Yelp
We like it. The lobster is our favorite but there's nothing that we haven't liked in our two visits. The service everywhere at the Ritz-Carlton is exceptional. It feels so warm and genuine. It really sets them apart. We had our first date here and we came back to celebrate our one year anniversary. Same place, same table, same people, one year later. We spent the day at the spa before dinner and the moment the cat was out of the bag about our anniversary, everyone in the hotel seemed to know. I don't know how they pass the word around but it does make you feel special and that they really care. As for ambience, it's the Ritz-Carlton and it's got the ambience of luxury and class. Not in an intimidating way either. Nothing worse than an ambience that is pretentious. Not here. They are nice across the board. Thanks to all the staff that we crossed paths with. The hostess at Toca was so lovely. Luis, our server was a perfect professional and equal parts warm and caring. Vincent, the general manager and sommelier can't go without mentioning. The wine he helped us choose really completed our night. We'll be back!

Yelp
Ordered a late breakfast here and it was pretty decent. Overall service (4/5) Ambiance (3/5) i like the circular tables and spacing between tables Food(3/5) for price the food was just ok. Chicken sausage was a bit dry, apple juice I wouldn't recommend, shashuka was decent, didn't care much for the pita. Solid place but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Yelp
Toca means touch in Spanish. To a diner with no professional culinary training (that's me), a chef's 'touch' is mainly judged by how the food tastes. So do the chefs here have the 'toca'? Me temp que no! While they do not put bad food on the table, the quality and the taste of their food just doesn't match the high prices that they charge, even if I'm paying Winterlicious lunch menu prices which was $55 per head. The lack of touch was especially magnified, by the missing flavours. You might as well put black truffle, basil and almond on the back of a milk carton because their flavours were all MIA from their respective dishes. If salt is a flavour then sure, their touch is there. But, when the menu says there's this ingredient in the dish, I should be able to taste those ingredients. Let's start with their soup. While the potato and leek soup is definitely lighter than most, which can be achieved by repetitive straining, they did state that there will be truffle oil on top. I tasted zero truffle taste. My partner's starter was a burrata cheese salad. The cheese had a typical mozzarella cheese shell, but a creamy centre. Not bad. The balsamic vinegar bubbles was a nice touch and it freshened up the whole experience. The dish also included these green basil sponges, but I did not taste any basil. As for the mains, I liked the texture of the 24 hour sous vide pork neck, but I mainly tasted salt and some char. Some variation of herbs would have brought the dish to life. The dish was plated with a really sweet celery root puree. It did manage to tone down the saltiness, but it didn't necessarily accentuate the flavours of the meat. The seafood broth again was salty. Although if you leave the broth long enough in your mouth, you can certainly taste the seafood. The broth could definitely use more tomato taste, possibly a dash of spiciness and perhaps more simmering of the shells from different shell fishes for the much needed umami taste. The highlight of the dish was the white fish as it was cooked to the right texture. The desserts ultimately were not super memorable. The chocolate cake was quite sweet and tasted like a typical chocolate torte cake. The apple compote and the amaretto crumble were the actual stars of the show here. The dessert also came with a very forgettable almond gelato that was too heavy on the dairy and the almond taste was barely noticeable. The tiramisu was alright, but a stronger coffee liqueur taste would have been appreciated. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience. If dining at a Ritz Carlton in Toronto is all this is cut out to be, there's no reason anyone with at least some standards should waste their money at Toca.

Yelp
Just delicious! I went with a friend for the Winterlicious menus but got several drinks and food a la carte from their regular menu. Been wanting to go for a while and I did not regret it when I finally got the chance. They have a wide range of both mocktails and cocktails. If the ones we tried they were all fantastic and fun. Whatever your fancy there is something for everyone. The appetizers were amazing too. House baked breads and calamari. Though I'm not the biggest fan of calamari this has to have been one of the best experiences I've ever had. Tender, salty, and flavourful. Great way to start the meal. The steak was similarly succulent and beautifully plated. Since, we were here and surrounded by cheese wheels we also had to try some pasta. Though the cacio e pepe looked amazing and was being prepared table side the carbonara was calling me. It was so rich and creamy. All the dishes really left me fulfilled but still wanting more. For dessert there we got tiramisu and rum cake. I probably would have passed on the cake had it not been on the prix fixe menu. However, given they have other new seasonal options I might have gone for something else like a yuzu sorbet had it been on the menu then. Overall, Toca is just an amazing dining experience from the elegant restaurant, to the fantastic and friendly service, and the mouth watering food. I'd highly recommend everyone go at least once. I'm personally checking my day planner for when I will have an opportunity to drop by again. One small criticism is their chair leather is falling apart. They have seen the best of their days and really should be replaced to help round out the environment and experience.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday lunch and was not the least bit disappointed. The ambiance at TOCA is absolutely wonderful. The staff are simly incredible, kind, and courteous. Now to the important part: THE FOOD! we ordered the cold cuts (charcuterie board) was superb. Everything was so high quality and fresh. For my main I ordered the homemade gnocchi, which was DELIGHTFUL! FRESH, FLUFFY AND FULL OF CHEESE My friend ordered the turkey sandwich with fries, and I must say it was the largest sandwich I have ever seen (looked very good as well) For desserts, we ordered the tiramisu (10/10) the CAFFÈ CREMA BRUCIETTA ( 10/10) and the staff were generous enough to present an additional dessert for the special occasion, which was a cheesecake and a chocolate cake. EVERYTHING WAS DELIGHTFUL. It is truly rare to have a restaurant experience that is pleasant in every way from start to finish. Bravo to all of the staff and members of TOCA for delivering such amazing work!!

Yelp
Located in the Ritz Carlton, Toca is on the second floor just above the large foyer. Reservations are recommended as they seem to be full all the time. We had an absolutely lovely dinner to celebrate a birthday and they made it extra special with great service and wonderful dishes. We had the beef carpaccio, spaghetti carbonara and the porchetta. Each dish had it's own unique spin to make it different. I liked that the beef carpaccio wasn't too salty or swimming in oils and made for a very clean starter. The spaghetti carbonara is completed by tossing in a large parmigiano reggiano wheel in the middle of the room before serving (you can watch them do it). The porchetta is 32 hours slow roasted and absolutely melts in your mouth. Would recommend all three dishes. Service was superb and our waitress was friendly despite being busy. One absolutely delicious decadent dinner!

Yelp
This is a restaurant in the downtown Toronto.Ritz Carltom. We Ubered but there is a garage. When you enter the hotel, there are stairs going up and Toca is there on the 2nd floor. We had reservations which seems to be the way to go. It's a nice place and most people were in business casual attire but there is no dress code. The staff was on point-friendly but not pushy. The wine menu has an index and prices average $15-$20 a glass (Canadian). There were some bottles listed at $1,000 + as well. They have a regular menu and a prix fix menu. Dinner for 2 will be around $75 a person or more. But, everything was perfect. We opted for a caprese appetizer that included lobster to split. It was $28 so definitely a splurge. We both opted for the prix fix option which invluded 3 courses. They were accommodating to our questions regarding food prep and carbless options. The parsnip soup was creamy and delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked. We did split one dessert (and took the other home) which was not sugar free but yum! Toca is great for a date night or special occasion!

Yelp
This fancy restaurant is located on the second floor of the Ritz Carlton - walking in, you'll notice the large cheese cellar, as well as the open kitchen. Our table had these very pretty plates on each seat acting as placeholder; I went straight to the one with the Prince of Bel-Air. Apparently there's an artist who hand paints these designs on each plate, and she was here introducing her products the last time my colleagues came. We had a fixed set menu offering choices for an appetizer (caprese or porchetta), primi (no choice, it was the lobster gigli), secondi (branzino or lamb / agneau), and finally, dolce (tiramisu or panna cotta). We were served bread and olive oil to start, and then each handed a gazpacho shooter. The soup was okay, quite aromatic but also just very similar to V8 in flavour. As we drank our wine and chatted, we were served our appetizers. Everyone at the table chose the caprese - and it was a fantastic choice. A generous disk of fresh mozzarella cheese was placed atop a slice of tomato, with some simmered tomato sauce at the bottom. The cheese was so good; it had such depth and texture. Our primi came a little while later. The al dente gigli was the perfect vessel for coating the creamy sauce, and each plate had a decent chunk of lobster meat. It was quite good and homely, and I found myself chasing after the sauce. The secondi came next; I was the only one around the table who ordered the branzino. Everyone raved about the lamb racks, and I found my branzino okay. I wasn't as big a fan of the tomato sauce, but the branzino itself was well seasoned and fried to be quite crispy. I did find, however, the accompaniments of squid bits and mussels a tad peculiar. This one dish was a slight miss for me. We then ordered a cheese board to share, and there were a variety of cheeses served. One of the boards included blue cheese, but both had pecorino, parmesan, and some other of your usual suspects. Finally, dessert came. Again, everyone around the table got the tiramisu unanimously. Unfortunately, I found this particular presentation to be lacking as well. There was a ball of gelato and thin disk of chocolate served alongside a demi sphere of tiramisu. The tiramisu was okay, but nothing groundbreaking. As we had ordered two bottles of white (a beautifully buttery and complex Dom Bonneau du Martray 2007) and three separate different reds (each wonderful in their own right), the sommelier gave us a 1983 vintage port on the house. Overall, it was a wonderful evening - the food was decently good with some hits but other misses, but the wine was excellent. Service was phenomenal, and we had a great time!

Yelp
My husband brought me here for our anniversary and we had the most amazing Saturday brunch. The buffet was amazing - there were different types of seafood including fresh oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, and lobsters. They constantly refilled the seafood station which was great and we certainly had our fair share of oysters! They had breakfast food like eggs benedict, sausages, bacon, and this delicious banana bread French toast (highly recommend). There was also chicken, vegetables, fish, and even pasta. You will also find a nice salad bar but to be honest I skipped this completely because seafood over salad any day. Dessert is located in a neat little room in the middle of the restaurant - chocolate fondue with fruits and marshmallows, chocolate cakes, cheesecakes, petits choux... selection was definitely decent. Word of caution - near the end of the buffet they don't restock the dessert so try to get your hands on dessert earlier and don't wait until the last minute! Aside from the delicious food the brunch comes with bottomless mimosas. Bottomless meaning they keep refilling your drink (which they really do). Service was spectacular. We were celebrating a special occasion (as with some of the other diners) and they made us feel really welcome. They even prepared a cute dessert plate to wish us a happy anniversary. My husband had secretly dropped off flowers the day before and they were accommodating and had the bouquet ready at our table when we arrived. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I would recommend coming here for a special meal/treat.

Yelp
I've come here for lunch a couple of times and the food is honestly pretty mid. I've tried the some fish dishes, pasta dishes, and the signature caprese ravioli, however everything tasted surprisingly average to me - not bad, just average. It's a pleasant atmosphere for a business lunch but I don't think I'd come here on my own accord.

Yelp
My buddy hosted his daughter's 1st birthday at TOCA for brunch last Sunday. It's not everyday that i'm dining at the Ritz Carlton, but since my buddy graciously picked up the bill (~$94 per person), I was quite excited to check it out. Overall, my girlfriend and I were quite impressed with this upscale buffet. The attentiveness of the staff at TOCA really stood out to me. Our mimosas were constantly being refilled and our napkins were folded after leaving the table. The service was top notch and my buddy also thought the service was much better than the Windsor Arms. Some of the highlights for me were the seafood bar (lobster tails galore), the prime rib and the tiramisu. Of course, the bottomless mimosas also elevated the experience. They also had a booze-y section with bottomless sangria and Bloody Caesars. Sure, a $94 brunch buffet might be a bit excessive, but TOCA is perfect for the special occasion. It's an upscale environment with first class service. You will not be disappointed by the food and drink either.

Yelp
We happened to be in Toronto for two days - the food was very good, especially the wild boar, awesome Osso Buco & Risotto ( I usually never like Risotto) and wow the ice cream dessert! All the servers were excellent.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try TOCA's Sunday brunch buffet for over 2 years, but didn't really have an event to celebrate to justify the cost. However, when I found out that they were having a Saturday brunch buffet for a reduced price, I decided to make the splurge. The hot food variety on Saturday is significantly less than what they offer on Sunday, which they have fairly stated on their online menu. However, they still had the "breakfast staples" such as sausages, bacon, pancakes and egg benedicts. Other hot food includes a lamb stew, roasted vegetables, a pan fried fish dish in a broth and a pasta dish. Nonetheless, the main reason why I wanted to go to TOCA was for their seafood bar (lobsters, king crab legs, oysters and smoked fish), which they also serve on Saturday. So to me, I find it more value for money to go on a Saturday. The lobsters were smaller than expected, approximately 2-3 ounces per tail. Most of the ones I ate had a decent texture, but there was approximately 2 half tails I had that were quite chewy (over-blanched?). I was surprised that the crab legs have a "strong" sweet crab flavour! As most of the time the crab legs are tasteless and often have a hint of "icy" flavour as they are not completely defrosted. I also really enjoyed the smoked salmon and trout. They had a hint of smokey-ness and was mildy salted. The cocktail shrimps were big and had a "crispy" texture! The oysters were "meh". They were really small, sometimes shriveled up and occasionally quite "fishy". I only had a few (max 5) as I was afraid my stomach won't be able to handle it. Another thing I was looking forward to at TOCA was their cheese, since they have a cheese cave (which is a glass room and not really a cave). However the 3 cheeses they had on offered were disappointing. The blue cheese variety didn't have the "tangy" kick. The other two cheeses were hard cheeses, which typically suggest they are aged and should have a bold flavour profile. However, they were prerty much tasteless and some pieces tasted "chalky". I was also disappointed that TOCA didn't label their cheese. They only had a generic sign saying "Selection of Artisan Cheese". In the future, I hope TOCA would replace one of the hard cheese with a soft cheese like triple cream brie. I'm not a dessert kind of person, but I know Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong are famous for their dessert. Hence, I assumed the dessert served at TOCA would be similar. The desserts were beautifully presented and overall, they were pretty good! They had a decadent chocolate cake, a pistachio apricot mousse, creme brulee and a chocolate fondue. My favourite was the mousse. The sweetness was well balanced, the mousse was smooth and creamy. The creme brulee was a tad too sweet for me but had quite a significant amount of vanilla bean seed! The chocolate cake was rich but was too sweet for me. I would suggest sharing the piece. However, I do like the layers of moist chocolate cake and chocolate ganache. Tip: Be prepared that for the first 30 mins of the buffet, most of the dishes (except for the desserts and salads) would be empty or only have a few pieces left. It's not that the food is replenished slowly (TOCA did a good job replenishing and service was great!), it's just that everyone was hungry. Plus, on the day I went 95% of the tables were filled.

Yelp
Upscale Italian restaurant in the Ritz. Service: The waiter was very friendly, highlighting the daily specials and recommendations. Albeit the restaurant was quite empty for a Wednesday lunch service. Seating was also a bit awkward, as it was a round table with a coach and chairs for two. Food: The complimentary focaccia was perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside, definitely some of the better I've had. The mezzi ziti was cooked al dente, and was flavoured nicely and topped with shaved Parmesan, table side. However, the price was a bit high for a pasta dish, especially for lunch, and it seemed a bit simple. Overall: Commendable pasta and focaccia, but pricey for a lunch.

Yelp
Lovely environment | Great service | Bite size appetizers | Small entrees | 3oz wines | Ritz Carlton Came here for dinner with a girlfriend on a weeknight, no reservations needed. Sat down at a lovely two top with an artistic plate ahead. The menu was small but has everything you would need for Italian food. Appetizers, cheese, charcuterie, pasta, main dishes and side dishes. Though the prices are not cheap, they are known for their food. But when the entrees came, we were both like ... That's it? It's the portion of a child. The pasta was like 3 bites. When their pasta has a appetizer option as well, I can only imagine how small that could be. Like a bite sized entree. Overall ... I wouldn't come back but it was okay.

Nice atmosphere for a date on valentine's night. Food was amazing, for everything on the special menu. Waiters were very friendly and on time. Food delivery was fast to the table. Indeed a bit pricy but worth it for a once-in-while occasion in your life for creating good memory.

Yelp
10 Mimosas in 2 hours, at TOCA I fulfilled my dream averaging a Mimosa every 12 minutes it was a performance worthy of the brunch hall of fame. This place is probably the best bottomless brunch in Toronto, it's expensive but you get what you pay for, the seafood bar was fresh and restocked regularly and all the other food was great too - The eggs benedict in particular was outstanding. So many options for food and even the desert items were great and unique which is unexpected really as usually they can be a bit rubbish in a brunch but TOCA really makes an effort with everything! On top of this the service was second to non, we had 2 servers marking regular trips past us and topping up our drinks and removing used plates - big credit to them they made the experience even better! 220$ for 2 of us (tax and tip inc) and worth every penny!

Yelp
This place is okay. Just okay. My friends and I came here for the Sunday brunch buffet, for my birthday. The food quality is good, but the selection is small, and really not worth the price. The raw seafood bar wasn't filled frequently, so even if it's a buffet, you can't even take what you want all the time, because there were no oysters left, etc. The lobster tails were dry. The dessert selection was actually quite big, and they all tasted great, so that was a pleasant surprise, as most buffet places have mediocre desserts. The service was great, and it was an okay experience, but I wouldn't go back again. Not for $94 per person. It was good to try once.

Yelp
Our experience right from booking of the reservation (they got back to me promptly) to our dinner (delicious, exceptional service) was exemplary. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Had a great time at brunch. Dropped in on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was about 50% full. The buffet's food ensemble looked fantastic, but the portion size from the a la carte menu was the right amount for us. The meal began with a complimentary shot of a smoothie, before going into the main course. We took notice how the lighting and spacing made the room's atmosphere very relaxing and the meal very enjoyable. The price point is a bit higher than usual, but you are getting value in service, decor, and food. And after all, it is at the Ritz.

Yelp
pretty skimpy lunch menu. food was good, staff was exceptional (Ritz) but i wasn't happy with the minimum options.

Yelp
Came here with some friends for lunch on a weekday, they were really accommodating with our time limitations and my dietary restrictions. I mentioned to the server in advance that I had a few dietary intolerances (legumes, dairy, citrus - usually I'm not as strict but recently I've been going through digestive issues) and she recommended the market price fish, which was salmon and broccolini. However, it came out with green beans, so I notified the server. They ended up serving me a separate plate of broccolini and my meal was on the house! I didn't expect that level of accommodation and service, thanks for being understanding!

Yelp
Amazing weekend brunch. Very expensive but VERY worth it! Excellent food quality, lots of variety for everyone: meat, seafood, veggies. Eggs and breakfast and also lunch stuff. 2 set seatings, one in the morning and one at 2:30. Bottomless mimosas, bellenis, Prosecco. Great for a special event, just make sure to reserve well in advance!

Yelp
Very well organized restaurant. Beautiful setting, cozy seats. The Burrata was served on the most tasty slice of watermelon. Delicious! I ordered their signature ravioli in tomato sauce, a dish that has never been taken off their menu. It was decent. Not a tiramisu fan but gave it a go... it lacked espresso flavour and tasted like cheap milk chocolate. Their rum and citrus soaked cake wasn't a hit either. It wasn't as "spongy" maybe a bit stale? Definitely worth the experience but not as spectacular as I expected!

Yelp
I went to Toca for long weekend casual dinner. I am very impressed with the service they provided. I actually been to there a few times. The risotto is amazing, the tomato the chef use was totally different than any restaurant in Toronto. I also had the four courses tasting menu, but The portion is a little bit too small compare to Bosk! I would suggest get the regular menu! Definitely the ingredients are fresh and service is excellent. Now it is one of the first choice if I want a romantic dinner.

Yelp
3.5 Nice quiet restaurant service was great our server had good recommendations I had the rib eye and I usually have my steaks medium rare but he suggest with rib eye which has more fat within the meat that medium was more suitable as the fat will be more cooked never thought that I had it medium and it was delicious also added a side of sauteed mushrooms it was pretty big and I love my mushrooms.

Yelp
I came here for Saturday brunch for my birthday with my close friends and family. It's located inside the Ritz Carlton on the upper main floor. There's a large staircase in the lobby leading to the restaurant. The service is amazing, international and light Italian food is delicious, unique and perfectly portioned, it's reasonably priced with the Saturday brunch prix fix menu. I'd recommend coming here for casual brunch or an occasion brunch with the prix fix menu! I'd come back to try their Sunday $85/89 brunch and their dinner menu next time. Pros: Amazing and attentive service, consistent refills for drinks and check-in's felt natural. Coat check when you walk into the restaurant. I had to push back my reservation by 15-20 mins and they accommodated it ASAP. It helped that it wasn't busy for brunch, only about 1/3 of the restaurant was full. The food was really delicious, somewhat small but filling portions for the prix fix menu. I was full by time the dessert came around! Cons: Service was a bit slow in the beginning with 2 different servers. It wasn't too busy, only about 15-20 people there for brunch besides our table of 5, and we were given a booth in the corner. Since my reservation changed from 7 people to 5 (I called way in advance to note that), I would have appreciated a closer knit table, versus a very large booth where we were all spread out. It's a pretty quiet atmosphere, I imagine a packed evening would be much louder. The mimosa's are definitely expensive, we each got 2-3 each and a few peach bellini's which was over $30 at that point per person. Would have benefitted more from a bottomless mimosa fixed price! Not much of a choice with 2-4 choices for brunch drinks. Menu: Saturday a la carte is a bit more expensive but larger portions. If you want to have a bit of everything, sweet and savoury (which I LOVE for brunch) and well worth your money, then DEFINITELY get the Saturday prix fix menu. It's different than presented online on their website, and I took a photo of the menu too. For the 2-course prix fix ($27, or with a cocktail $39) and 3-course prix fix menu ($32, or with a cocktail $44)--worth it for it's price! I had the 3-course menu with a mimosa ($16, ugh) - Insalata Di Cavolo, Salmone Affumicato, Signature Banana Bread French Toast. All great components with unique twists. French toast was my favourite! We each got something different and every single person finished their portions and their meal, so it was delicious and just the right amount of food. You get an individualized mini vanilla and chamomile maple syrup! Atmosphere: There's a darker dimly lit space by the kitchen with circular booths and tables for small groups and larger long tables, and a more open-concept natural light space. There is a cheese cave tour as well, I saw it but didn't have time to check it out. Summary: I'd go back on a busy night for their dinner, it was great service, consistent refills on water and mimosa's, I'd love to see a bit more variety on the menu, but I'd bring a group of friends or family back here again. The prix fix menu is MUCH better than paying the $32 or $25 per dish, when you can try more items for the same price and get your money's worth!

Yelp
I've visited Toca three times now. Each time the service has been phenomenal. The ambience is great. My first experience was my best experience, I had their burger at lunch which was amazing. It was a special burger that seemed to be on their seasonal lunch menu. The second time I came for lunch again, I ordered the same burger but they had taken that burger off the menu. So instead , I ordered their classic burger which turned out to be mediocre. The third time I came was for dinner. I had a five course truffle inspired meal with wine pairing. It was specially created by chef Oliver Glowig. It was a phenomenal experience. However, I'll admit that my palette isn't ready for such high end food yet. I don't think I appreciated the quality of the wine nor the quality of the truffles. I then took a picture with the chef. The scallops and the sweet bread were out of this world !

Yelp
I came here for brunch with my gf for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint! I was told by friends that it was seafood heaven and they were not wrong. Lobsters, oysters, crab claws, seared tuna oh my! My favourite was the lobster and crab claws as the were very easy to eat and already cracked with the meat hanging out! I'm not the biggest fan of oysters, but I couldn't help myself from consuming 20 of them as they were fresh and creamy! The cooked food was were this place lacked a bit and the reason I am not giving them 5 stars. The beef wellington was dry and the cook left about half of it hanging off my plate. The grilled salmon was also a bit dry and most of the vegetables seemed to have been sitting out there on the buffet table for a while. Service was great for the most part. Our server constantly filled our all you can drink mamosas with just the right amount of orange juice. They also folded our napkins each time we left the table. They never once rushed us and were checking up on us every now and then to make sure we were doing well and not passed out from a food coma. The dessert room was really nice and make sure to save some room for that, as they have many delicious treats such as macaroons, chocolate pastries, cookies and a chocolate fountain. Overall a nice place to take that special someone for an epic occasion as this place is a bit on they pricey side. I'll be making a return trip again for those lobsters though!

Yelp
We enjoyed a mussel platter which was a good size and completely shareable, followed by the sea bass stuffed with squid and herbs placed atop of a simple tomato sauce, and finished the meal off with the classic Ritz-Carlton orange dark chocolate cake. The food was simple, but I was expecting it to be a little more flavourful. Our server was also less than pleasant. She seemed exhausted, and unhappy to be there. However, the rest of the staff provided what I expected as the Ritz quality of service. The combination of the poor service we received and having slightly bland food is why I gave this restaurant 3 stars.

Yelp
I was super exctied to go eat at ritz carlton restaurant. I went there for there saturday brunch. Heard great things about it and my favorite thing in the world is lobster,so that hyped me up even more knowing that it was all you can eT. I just came back from vegas a month ago ,so i was expecting something similar in quality. The food was not bad but really dissapointing. They had very limited amount of choices in the hot food. Bacon sausages. Salmon.1 weird green looking overcooked pasta. 2-3 types of veggies. And a cold sea food platter.that is it. It's the smallest buffet i have ever seen. I wouldn't mind it if they made special dishe out of them, but nothing was memorable. My main event was the lobster tails, they were small and didn't taste like anything special.you could ask for hot butter but that didn't make too much of a difference. The cocktail shrimps were big and crunchy, oysers were pretty fresh. Service was nice and attentive. Overall though never goin back, because of the lack of choice And quality.

Yelp
Came here for a dinner with coworkers, but could only stay for a drink and a quick app..but the visit left me wanting to come back! The restaurant itself is sophisticated and beautiful, very romantic feel. The wine list is lengthy, and the staff is incredibly accommodating, they made a surprise mock tail for some coworkers that down drink alcohol. The bread is deeeeelicious, especially the focaccia rosemary one..I'm drooling thinking about it. As for apps, I had a side of potatoes and they were crispy and baked to perfection. Wish I could have stayed for the pasta..but I'll be back next time. The customer service is impeccable and they are very accommodating of dietary restrictions.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday dinner and I have say the service was truly exceptional - service that one would expect at a restaurant located in the Ritz Carlton. The food was also very good. I had the fresh seafood pasta and the cod. The pasta is homemade. It is also my understanding that tomatoes are flown in from Italy for the pasta sauce. TOCA puts a huge emphasis on fresh ingredients and it makes all the difference. Everything I have tried at TOCA was nothing short of delicious. You cannot go wrong at TOCA. I also heard TOCA had a cheese cave (which I did not visit this time around but will definitely need to visit next time).

Yelp
We came here for brunch, and we fell in love with Toca. From the moment we were sat, to the moment the chef asked what I wanted in my risotto, down to the moment I bit into my first lobster tail...we fell in love. The service was amazing, the food was great and there was never an empty plate or tray of food on the floor. This is by far the top of my list for brunch. I cannot rave enough about this place. Atmosphere was perfect, and there was just such a great vibe throughout the restaurant. Our waiter was so nice and even brought out extra special dessert for us. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
So apparently they changed their menu! So no more seared scallops but instead u can get a chopped up tuna sashimi with avocado and green apple. Very bland...I had to ask for chilli flakes something to bring a kick outta it! My friends foie gras was very good! My main cheese risotto with black truffles were just as bland...i ended up using the entire plate of chilli flakes! There were no offer of black pepper! My friends lobster mixed pasta apparently was also bland and pasta was also very undercooked! The only dish that was passed was the ravioli the strong cheese along with the pasta sauce totally made the dish the highlight of dinner! Needless to say we did not bother with dessert! Who needs bland dessert?!?! Oh another note, you'd think by charging $2.50 per head for water they would get it right between still and sparkling! There was 4 of us and we all asked for still, yet half way through we all got nasty sparkling water! We tried to down it but after abt a gulp none of us cud take it so we requested the waiter to change the glass, it was done with a bit of attitude! My recommendation, try the bar, skip the restaurant! No wonder the needed to create a "cheese cave" as an attraction to bring people in! It was Friday night te restaurant was less than half full...doubt this place would pay very long... Is it me? Or are all hotel restaurants a flop in toronto?

Yelp
This review is for the Sunday Brunch buffet, which doesn't come cheap and yet worth every penny if you are a seafood lover. For the price you pay, it is all you can drink bellinis (or just sparkling wine if you ask them to hold the juice) - not top shelf stuff obviously, but still satisfying. The seafood section is amazing - lobster tails (good texture, not mushy), mussles, oysters, crab claws, shrimp, along with numerous little dishes. I could just feast on this section alone! Then there are the normal hot dishes, which I mostly ignored (since I came for the seafood) but looked decent. I had a slice of the prime rib and it was delicious and of good quality. On top of this, the dessert cave is phenomenal. The wait staff advised us to check it out before eating so we'll know to save our appeities, and you definitely should! All of the desserts that I have had room to eat was very tasty. There really isn't anything to complain about for the Sunday brunch. The price isn't cheap but if you do this on a special occasion, you'll find it quite enjoyable.

Yelp
Was here for their weekend brunch and overall the experience was great, it's not 5 stars because for $99 I would expect perfection but there were bits that could be improved. Pros: 1. VERY fresh oysters. I love oysters but have a sensitive stomach, so if they're even slightly unfresh I would feel sick afterwards. Did not happen here, I would say it's even better than some a la carte restaurants and its all you can eat! They keep it stocked throughout the duration so I would come back just for that alone. 2. I also love truffles and hey had a truffle infused pasta dish that was so tasty, amazing for a buffet! I had 3 or 4 helpings in one sitting. 3. General atmosphere and quality of food was really good, the plating was very nice and you can tell care was taken into the cooking. i think they only seat half of the restaurant during brunch so it was not busy, you don't need to line up for anything and everything was always fully stocked. Servers were quick at taking away empty plates and refilling the drinks. Cons: 1. Chicken and the prime rib was a bit dry and over cooked. Did not finish my pieces. 2. Some dishes I saw on the online menu was not served. For example I really like heirloom carrots and caprese salad and wanted to try the goat cheese ravioli but it was not available. However they also served dishes that were not in the online menu like polenta and steak tartare. They do say it's the sample menu online but I'm the type of person that decides on what I want to eat before going to a restaurant so it's a bit risky if you're like me. Others notes: I personally don't like sweets but they had a big variety of desserts. I wonder if they switch it up by the season because for us they had little ghost and tombstone cookies for Halloween, very cute!

Yelp
2.5 stars is the max I can give Toca for Sunday brunch. Like some other reviews, I found that the selection is very limited and food taste average. The highlight are lobster tails and oysters- lobsters are ok and small, oysters are small thin east coast oysters (something like malpeque). Both are not great quality like we order separately at restaurants. Egg benedict taste awful with the hard English muffin and tough pork layer. Smoked salmon, prosciutto, cold small dishes etc are all not the best quality too. When everything taste just average I don't think it's worth $89, you are mainly paying for the name Ritz Carlton. Buffet in Vegas or Asia hotels offer much better food for this price. Desserts cave is disappointing too, I can make better pana cotta. The service is also the minimal you can get, I have experienced better services in other restaurants in town. They give you what you ordered and that's it. I've a baby with me, when I asked for hot water to warm up the milk, my server made us wait for a long time. I saw her busy giving cakes with candles for other tables instead of giving some special attention to my table which has a hungry baby. Eventually we had to go around to find hot water ourselves, it drawn attention from other servers, then wait again to have it. We were celebrating our baby's arrival too but she didn't give me any cakes with candles. The whole buffet experience was so rushed that I didn't have time to take photos to put on Yelp! I was rushing through fetching food and eating. Just got to try once of everything (remember not a large selection). For that price, with a hotel environment I expect to be able to chat and celebrate the special occasion (which people come here for). Today's experience was disappointing for us all. The only thing we like is the seating, we like the location of our table.
