We had a truly lovely stay at Toc Toc Toc Lisboa in the Estrela neighborhood. This boutique hotel, run by a French family, feels far more like a beautifully lived-in home than a traditional hotel. The decor is layered, warm, and full of character, as if the house has grown and evolved over time — you feel it the moment you walk in. We chose it because we currently live in the countryside and needed a base in the city for errands, but it quickly became a highlight of our Lisbon stay. In the evenings, we went for long walks around Estrela and even walked to Cais do Sodré. The area is lively and full of great spots, yet still very local and not overly touristy. One of our favorite features was the honesty bar on the second floor, connected to a beautiful garden. There’s a great selection of wine, beer, and other drinks, and you simply write down what you take along with your room number — it’s added to your bill at checkout. We spent a quiet evening there, and with barely anyone around, it felt like having a private garden oasis right in the center of the city. The staff were absolutely wonderful — kind, welcoming, and generous with their time. They gave us a lovely tour of the house when we arrived, which made the stay feel even more personal and homely. A special mention also goes to Paulette, the resident dog at check-in, who completely stole our hearts. She only understands French, which added to the charm. After check-in, we enjoyed tea and cake in the lobby, surrounded by beautiful books, with Paulette keeping us company — one of those quiet, perfect moments you don’t forget. Overall, Toc Toc Toc Lisboa feels intimate, soulful, and genuinely special. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, authentic place to stay in Lisbon.

Great place to stay in Lisbon. The hotel is beautifully designed in art deco style. The room was clean with filtered water, a/c and a small welcome snack. Beds are comfy and the room was quiet. The staff was super friendly and welcoming (not to forget the cute and friendly dog hanging out in the lobby). The area around it offers quite a few food places and interesting shops. Overall a great experience. Will come back again.

We stayed at toctoctoc for an entire week and it was absolutely incredible. The staff, decor, vibes, everything was perfect. It was chic but cozy. Incredibly clean and well kept hotel. We especially loved the honesty bar in the garden out back and sweet Polette. It’s also in a great neighborhood - tons of great restaurants and bars nearby, walking distance to all the sights, but far enough away that it felt calm to return to after a long day. Would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Lisbon.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! So much attention to detail. Eclectic and tasteful decorations with multiple communal spaces made this place stand out from your standard hotel. There was a lovely terrace where you can eat breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best from a hotel I’ve ever had. Many options and everything tasted fresh. Also accommodating to vegans, which can rare in Portugal. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night though close to bars and restaurants nearby. For an extra fee they also made special arrangements to provide champagne and flowers for our honeymoon when we arrived. We will recommend this hotel to anyone we know visiting Lisbon, and we hope we can return one day!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Toctoc. Every little detail has been carefully thought through, making the place feel unique and special. My room was beautifully designed and very aesthetic. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, with soft muslin sheets that felt wonderfully gentle. I also appreciated the complimentary tea and water available at the reception throughout the day. And, of course, being welcomed by the super friendly dog right from the beginning made the experience even warmer and more memorable.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel! The staff were beyond friendly. The rooms are super unique and spacious. The garden is an oasis and the breakfast was delicious. We would not hesitate to return. Oh, and the location is fabulous!

Lovely hotel with eye for details! When we arrived there was some freshly made tea and cake. Nice location, a little bit outside the busy city centre, with some nice small (vintage) shops, coffee bars and wine bars just around the corner. Great service of the hotel, special rooms, nicely decorated. Fantastic bed! Really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Design, Amazing Team - Loved My Stay TocTocToc Lisboa is such a gem. The design is stunning, the location is perfect, and the whole place has this calm, boutique vibe that makes you feel instantly at home. But honestly, the staff are what make it special - genuinely warm, helpful, and just lovely to be around. I had an amazing stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended.
