Wow! What a spectacular venue. When you walk in you think “This is nice” and then you get on the elevator to the real theater area and it blows your mind. The perfect mix of vintage and modern styles make for a memorable theatre-going experience. Every seat has a wonderful view of the stage, and the acoustics are perfect. The security is great, professional, and diligent. The ushers are incredibly helpful and pleasant. Buying show merchandise is quick and easy. There is a waiting area that is huge. The room has many tables and chairs to relax on while you wait for showtime. There is an outdoor area on this floor to provide a small glimpse of the streets of Manhattan below. There is a list of donors on the wall with some truly incredible names on it. Definitely worth checking out while you wait for the curtain to rise. If you’re interested in meeting the cast, the after-show is handled very well by the staff. They direct visitors to the proper area and keep it organized and unassuming. And when the cast comes out, it’s a well-oiled machine of autographs and photos that shows what a little organization and patience can do to make this one of the most pleasant experiences on Broadway. All of this adds up to a terrific experience from beginning to end. Catching a show at the Todd Haines Theatre will leave you positively impressed with the venue, the staff, and the show.

Have seen a couple shows here, including Home last summer and Pirates! The Penzance Musical most recently. I sat in the mezzanine both times and had a great view of the stage; didn’t feel too far away and also had a nice amount of legroom. Would recommend seeing a show here and would also recommend seeing Pirates before it closes next week, as it is quite a fun time.

The smaller size of the theatre means that even in the last row of the mezzanine, you still feel close to the action. The seats were comfortable as well, which is a plus. I greatly enjoyed the show!

Love the smaller size and great views of the stage even from upper level edge seating. Seating also is more comfortable than most other theatres.

Easy to get to theater need Times Square, chairs allow for taller people. Bathroom line (for men) is looooooong at intermission.

This is a beautiful and small theatre. We sat in the mezzanine and still had a great view of the stage. It almost doesn’t matter where your seat is - you will too. Just be aware: the seats are comfortable but quite small with little leg room. There are bathrooms on the lower level. All the staff are helpful and friendly! We saw Danny DeVito on I Need That! Which was a great show!

This is a great place to see a show. We saw “Pirates! The Penzance Musical” and it was fabulous.

Beautiful theater. I saw 1776 here. Amazing show!! The seats were very comfortable with thick padding. Even though I was side orchestra, it was a great view of the entire stage. I walked the whole theater and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house - unless you sit in the boxes. Not recommended for that. The penthouse lounge had friendly staff, but no view like the website says. Still very warm and welcoming. Staff was friendly.

Yelp
Pirates! The Penzance Musical is a show that's not to be missed. Unfortunately they're scheduled to close on July 27. With David Hyde Pierce in the lead role, it was set in New Orleans and incorporated humor, operetta singing and entertainment on a level where I didn't want the show to end. The theater seats around 800 and we had the best seats in the house--back of the orchestra where we experienced the cast behind us either performing or running up to the stage. Quaint and cozy theater. This production was a feel good, 5 star fun. There are so many wonderful shows on Broadway and realistically, can't see them all but I'm so happy to have seen this one. Excellent, colorful, funny, fun and just so darn good. Absolutely loved it.

Yelp
My friend and I saw "Pirates! A Penzance Musical" and we had a blast! The theater is gorgeous from floor to ceiling, and the seats were very comfortable. I would say there really isn't a bad seat in the house, and we sat in the very, very back, so that's saying something! The show itself was so funny. They'd set it in New Orleans and added a jazzy twist to many (though not all) of the original songs. Ramin Karimloo, in particular, was a total hoot. The last time I saw him was in 2009 as the Phantom of the Opera in London, so I didn't know he could do comedies, but he nailed it! The rest of the cast was also top-notch, of course. I would recommend the show to anyone who just wants to have a good, wholesome time with friends and family.

Yelp
Pirates! was beyond enjoyable! Ramin Karimloo, Jinkx Monsoon, and David Hyde Pierce were absolutely hilarious. The theater seats were also pretty comfortable which is always a plus for a 2+ hour show!

Yelp
Saw English here. I think I have seen other shows here before as the theater looks familiar. Some of the nicest ushers and bartenders and staff work here. The lighting/ sound effects in this theater are great. There is a mezz level too so it's a big theater. I just don't like the location right on 42nd street. Not sure if bathrooms are good since I did not use them at my last visit.

Yelp
Formerly the American Airlines theater, this adorable little theatre is so cozy! The seats are actually nice and big and pretty comfy! Theres elevators to take you to the 5th floor which has their Tony, as well as a view of NYC, albeit not a great one but you're there for a show not sight seeing. Doubt was phenomenal. Love the movie and adored the show, the seats are staggered so no one is in your way that's in front of you. Why can't all theatres do this? It's 2024 man cmon... Regardless, a very cute theatre, a blink and you may miss it in all honesty.

Yelp
I loved Pirates of Penzance so much! I even saw it twice. Box seats AA and BB on the side orchestra sold as partial view but were so fabulous. It felt like I was with them on stage. Bathrooms weren't overcrowded either and the theatre entrance is roomy. Box Office printed out my ticket so quickly because I had problems pulling up on my phone. All around I thought the theatre was a nice one.

Yelp
This is one of the better Broadway theatres, in my opinion. There's hardly a bad sight line and in terms of space, legroom, and comfort, it's pretty good. I sat 4 seats in from the far house right aisle in row D in the balcony, and I could see everything very clearly.

Yelp
I enjoyed this small theater. The seats were comfortable and the theater was clean. The sound was also very clear and loud. Staffs were helpful and friendly as well.
