We arrived after a white-knuckle drive through an incredible rain storm and were happy to collapse in our third-floor room. We had been given an upgrade to a king suite and it was truly a suite with a separate tv room with sofa and reading lamps.
The view was 180 degrees and although it was a grey, rainy day it was still an incredible view, one we turned the two chairs in the room toward. Coffee, hot chocolate and a great selection of tea were offered along with an all-important kettle (I hate trying to make tea through a coffee maker.) The room appeared to be recently renovated with laminate flooring, a neutral palette, and a shower that provided piping hot water.
We had dinner at Shelter, the resort's standalone restaurant just below our building. We split an order of fish and chips and one of the best green salads I've ever encountered (properly dressed with a nice contrast of greens to colour.)
The resort is a complex of multiple buildings, two once upon a time motel-style buildings, the restaurant, a spa, a laundry room. I understand there is also a marina but we didn't venture past the restaurant in the storm. It is within a 5-10-minute walk to downtown Tofino.
I'd definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking of visiting Tofino.
