Toga Vinstue

Well worth a visit. This is a pub that is very popular with politicians and political folk. Pictures of politicians and posters around walls. At least 2 Prime Ministers have pulled pints from behind the bar. Smoking allowed.

One of the best bars I've ever seen. We came for a day trip to Copenhagen and they treated us very kindly. Thank you to all the staff.

Lovely place, I was rewarded for cleaning up the table we sat at from the previous patrons' glasses and ashtray with priority to order a beer by a lovely chap at the bar, so yay! Great ambience overall apart from the part that another staff member felt entitled enough to push me over at the corridor to the bathroom without me complaining about it just because of "y' know, when you're working in a bar" drama and attitude. Girl, I feel for you, but take it with your boss. So, nay. Yay + nay = meh, at least for this time.

Classy bar where politicians drink and you can smoke here. Was well funny. One rule for us and a different one for them. Had a great old time. Go live like a lawless king and get wankered too.

Toga is conveniently located just off Højbro plaza near stork fountain in the city center of copenhagen. It is one of the oldest bars in Copenhagen dating back to the 18 hundreds. It’s very cozy and the personel is welcoming and professional. The crowd is a mix of young and old. Toga also has a history of being a place where politicians hang not least due to its Proximity to parliament. Occasionally you will see politicians serving behind the bar. The prices are fair and there is a reasonable selection of beer and spirits. The place is popular among locals and can get quite crowded especially on weekends where you can expect a party until early hours. It’s a rather small establishment and it can get quite smoky inside but for smokers that is part of the charme. Access is easy since the subway is just around the corner and there are always lots of taxis right on Højbro plaza. I recommend Toga for people who want to experience the “Copenhagen spirit”. Toga is among the best bars in Copenhagen in terms of culture and authenticity.

A politicians classic. I wholeheartedly love this place. Good prices, and super cozy. Most people are also ready to have a debate or a discussion about political issues over a beer and some liquor. Smoking is allowed inside, as is customary for these types of establishments.
