Toile Blanche (Saint Paul de Vence, French Riviera / Provence) 8 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"At first glance Toile Blanche, in the French Riviera town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, appears to be an absolutely classic farmhouse hotel; renovated, certainly, but timeless in its appeal. Like so many others, it’s family-owned and -operated, but in this case the family in question is Nicolas, Gilles, and Gregory Leroy, a trio of “Post-Internet” artists operating as the Leroy Brothers collective. And Toile Blanche isn’t just a farmhouse-style luxury boutique hotel displaying a vast selection of their work, though it’s certainly that — it’s also a carefully curated experience in its own right, every detail chosen with the utmost care." - Tablet Hotels

I checked in last night for 4 nights and already extended an extra 3. This place is magical! The grounds and views are stunning. The rooms are luxurious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We arrived late and they had a delicious cheese and charcuterie board waiting in our room for us. The food at the tapas restaurant is delicious. I’m excited to try the main restaurant for dinner. Absolute paradise!

Fabulous small resort in a beautiful setting, with delicious restaurants and a soothing atmosphere throughout. Every single aspect of Toile Blanche is well thought out, beginning with the communication that occurs immediately upon making a hotel reservation. The staff has one orientation - to please their guests in the most gentle manner, and their kindness is appreciated. This is an adult oriented hotel, quiet and serene. Our beautiful room, Suite Cabanat, featured 2 levels of soothing space including the most beautiful private outdoor garden on the lower level. A second outdoor balcony off of the upstairs sleeping area had a luscious outdoor shower - we never bathed inside. It was the perfect romantic hideout for two nights, but we could have easily stayed longer! We enjoyed a delicious dinner upon arrival at Le Restaurant, as well as a lovely lunch at La Guinguette under the shade of trees the next afternoon after returning from our time in the medieval town, followed by a delicious breakfast the next morning. Other guests were quiet, thoughtful and equally appreciative of the beautiful surroundings. What a joy to stay at Toile Blanche, quiet beauty and solitude amidst the frenzy of the Cote d'Azur. Of the 4 locations we enjoyed during 2 weeks in the area, this is where we will return.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to spend our engagement day. The property is absolutely stunning, every little corner feels carefully thought out. From the beautiful artwork and gardens to the views and the restaurants, everything is put together with such care and style. You can really tell how much Caroline and her husband love this place and it shows in every detail. She was so warm and accommodating, couldn't have asked for a better host. And the staff was the perfect balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive, letting us fully relax and enjoy the moment. We can’t wait to come back.

You are part of the family when you are staying at Toile Blanche. The attention to detail at the property is impeccable - from the fresh rosemary and lavender scattered through the rooms / restaurants to the beautiful architecture & decor to the vibrant local restaurant menus - Toile Blanche is a curated experience from start to finish. The rich history of the property encourages you to indulge freely, daydream under the light blue sky & soak up the sun by the 3 different pools. This is THE place to visit in the South of France - warm hospitality, storybook scenery & a feeling of enjoyment that is hard to describe in words. Hopefully my pictures and videos do it justice.

I love the treasure hunt of finding a great hotel that no one has recommended but my tenacious searching unearths. And this was just my experience at the magnificent TOILE BLANCHE. Was looking for a one night stay near the NICE airport for final stop of a fantastic friends France journey, and this property is sublime. ||The bed was incredible, the room decor magnificent, the dinner delectable, product fantastic, and the setting is something out of a pictorial essay of the magical majesty of Provence. Service was wonderful as well. ||Stay here the night before leaving from Nice, but do yourself a favor, and book an extra day to explore the area and relax at this special place. || Love it, love it, love it. Highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem – One of the Best Hotels in Europe From the moment we arrived at Toile Blanche, we knew we had found something special. The property is absolutely stunning—like stepping onto a movie set. The grounds are pristine and beautifully maintained, creating an atmosphere of pure serenity and charm. Our room was split over two levels and felt like a luxurious private retreat. We had a gorgeous soaker tub, both indoor and outdoor showers, and direct access from the lower level to our own private garden—an oasis of beauty and calm. We dined at both on-site restaurants—lunch at one and dinner at the other—and each meal was truly magnificent. The food, the flavors, the setting… everything was on point. What really sets Toile Blanche apart are the owners. You can feel their passion and pride in every detail. They clearly pour their hearts into this property, and it shows. The service was warm, attentive, and effortless. The location is also ideal—quiet and tucked away, yet central enough to easily explore the region. Our only regret? Not staying longer. Without a doubt, this is one of the top three hotels we’ve stayed at in all of Europe. We’ll be dreaming about it until we return.

I was tempted to give Toile Blanche a 5 at first because the setting is stunning. But as the evening went on, my rating slipped to a 4 and by the end, a 3. The Ibiza vibe and Côte d’Azur sunset were definite highlights, though I’d suggest checking the seat cushions before you sit — mine wasn’t dry. The food looked good, but the 50-minute wait between starter and main was far too long. My steak was tasty, but I’d have liked to be asked which of the two sauces I preferred. My partner’s bouillabaisse arrived cold, and some of the fish was overcooked. They did bring us a complimentary dessert as an apology, which helped a bit — I’d call it a 3.5 if I could, but since half stars aren’t an option, I’m sticking with 3.

Hidden gem in Saint Paul de Vence. Definitely the best restaurant we have ever been to. Their food is unique and exquisite, not similar to any other restaurant we have been to. We even asked to meet the chef and thank him for his amazing work. We went to this place three times during our short stay there because we loved it a lot. They use ingredients from their own organic harvest. Definitely a must try to anyone visiting the area!
