Let’s start with the very positive: the location. It’s simply breathtaking. Clear water, tidy beach, amazing sunsets, not crowded. Free shuttle to port & Aharen beach. Staff really kind and helpful, laundry and drink machine available.(even a small shop at the reception). We have been upgraded to a western room for free.( japanese style rooms means sleeping on the floor & facing buildings behind the hotel)|The hotel itself is really old and worn out and hasn’t been renovated since half century unfortunately. The balcony on 1st floor isn’t usable, AC leaking everywhere and there is not a place where to sit when raining or just to share a drink&play cards. The restaurant’s terrace is closed when not serving food (dinner supposed to be from 6 to 9 but closes at 7.30-8). All facilities like snorkel etc charged a part, drinking water too. If you give up on daily cleaning, you get a small water for free (which is a nice eco-idea). Clean sheets but the oldest and thinest towels I’ve ever seen and rooms are not isolated, you literally hear everything from the corridors. Food very, very repetitive, it only change names every two days and not really delicious. Poor breakfast. (We stayed 8 days…) If it wasn’t for the staff & location, the rooms wouldn’t be worth these 120$ per night.|Whoever is the owner, their should at least invest in new pillows, sheets, kettle and so on.|Still a great place to visit.
