Unfortunately have to agree with some of the critical reviews here. While the beach and surroundings are of course beautiful, the price for the rooms is in no way reflected in anything the hotel itself offers. It is clear there has been no serious renovation in the rooms nor hotel amenities since it was built 40 years ago. Hotel could really use a gym. The breakfast and dinners are the lowest quality food we’ve had during our entire Japan trip, so we kindly asked to deduct the dinners from our bill so we fix it ourselves (this was OK). To top it off: When we tried to read a book on our balcony, we were visited by a family of cockroaches, so obviously we stopped doing that as well. I can really recommend making the daily hike to the nearby town of Aharen beach. We hiked to it on 2 mornings (took about 30 minutes) and spent the whole day there. You can rent double beach loungers with parasol (also not available on the beach of the Marin village) there for only 2000 yen so you have some shade during the beach day. The best restaurant we found was Sea Friend Seafood restaurant with fresh seafood (check my other review for this restaurant).

Tranquil place just by an amazing beach where you can swim and snorkel around spotting turtles and colorful fish. All the staff are super helpful and they have a store at the first floor where you can buy snacks and beverages. For the vegetarians you can also request plant based food for the dinner as most of the dishes are animal based on the buffet. Will definitely stay here again when coming back to Tokashiku!

A truly pleasant experience in this relaxing and peaceful place. The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and very well organized. Upon arrival of the ferry, I was picked by a driver up with a minivan directly of the hotel to take us to our destination and same for the departure. Inside of the hotel it's located a minimarket where you can buy nice souvenir, food and drink. You can leave free the luggage before and after the checkin / out An excellent dinner and breakfast were included in my booking and I tasted separately also a nice lunch. My big room, equipped with all necessary was with a lovely sea view and it was so relaxing. The access to the beautiful Tokashiku Beach was direct from the hotel instead Aharen Beach was simply reachable with a nice walking of around 40 minutes or you can take a free bus direct from here. Unfortunately there was a bad weather and it was necessary return to Naha one day before but it was the same a straordinarius experience. Thanks very much to the real kindly staff for the great support, I hope absolutely to return in future and I want to advise this place for everybody that looking an escape from the chaos for find a paradise Island!

location is for sure the star of the show, utterly amazing, you are practically on a lovely beach, viewing platform to see the sunset is also a 20 minute walk. staff were friendly and provided to every need. Food was nothing special but there was plenty and tasty for the most part. The rooms felt a bit old however, wallpaper coming off in some areas, and could use with some restoration, nothing too major. overall, nice place to stay at this amazing location. would recommend for a phew day trip.

We stayed two nights in a japanese style room in third floor. The view was amazing. Based on the other reviews I think by choosing the japanese room situation is better. Sure, the hotel needs remodeling but the japanese room was neat and cozy to be in. Also staff was really nice, the shuttle service is really good and we liked to food here. We didnt mind the rental costs, but I can understand how it would irritate others. I would still recommend staying here for the view, the sunset, se calmness, but mainly swim in Aharen beach, it was better!

People have done a great disservice of overrating this hotel which gave me unrealistic expectations of what my stay would consist of, a place that needs everything replaced unless you like having hairs in your old stained towels with nasty stained pillows and the original beds (which are very uncomfortable!) (plus moldy shower curtains) the staff is very kind and helpful but whoever owns this hotel should be ashamed of renting rooms out with the old dirty things. Also don’t get me started on how they nickel and dime you on everything, like 500 yen a day for a small old blue “beach” towel that should have been thrown away a long time ago. Please stop rating the rocky coral beach with stone fish a 5 star hotel rating. While the beach is stunning, you can go to the beach for free and use the park facilities which are the same quality as the ones they provide at this hotel. The hotel itself feels more like a school so if you want to cosplay as a student, this would be the right fit for you. I left as early as I could the next day because it was poor weather and I was so bored, they don’t offer anything for rainy days like a game room or a proper sitting area. They close the dining room outside of meal times. I was grossed out by my room so I didn’t want to stay in there during the rainy times. My advice, go to the island in the morning and leave in the evening. Don’t stay here. They are busses and taxi services. Or stay somewhere else.

Amazing beach, snorkelling and views but the hotel is pretty awful. Whilst it was reasonably clean and the staff were really friendly, it hasn’t been updated in 20/30 years so the decor is out dated, some furniture is broken, cushions on the hallway seats are ripped open, rooms are all smoking rooms so they retain the smoke smell, the bathroom is moldy, the sheets and bed had stains on them, and the hallways make it look like you are staying in a prison. |The room rate includes breakfast and dinner which were passable. Rental of beach towels, snorkelling kit etc were extras. |If you are able to treat this hotel as just a bed for the night, it is worth coming for the views, the beach and the stars on a clear night, but if you want anything more than 1/2 star standard, this is not the place for you.

The beach is truly paradise and the staffs were so kind and very welcoming. Do not expect luxurious 5 star hotel amenities though. This is more of a lodge kind of accommodation but it is very nice and the breakfast and dinner buffet was also great. My kids loved it. Lunch set had a really big serving and was also delectable. You just have to remember their opening hours if you’re not going out anywhere else. Would highly recommend this place especially for families. Excellent place and service!
