The room was clean and well-kept, and the spa area is truly beautiful – modern, quiet, and relaxing. The restaurant food was fine as well.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The service and guest treatment are disappointing for a hotel of this level. There’s no second bar, and although I simply wanted a drink in the evening, I was denied entry because the bar also serves as a restaurant. When I politely asked where else I could get a drink, I was told: “Nowhere – you can come back in two hours.” That’s unacceptable for a supposed high-end hotel.
The next morning, when I wanted to order a coffee, I was again not allowed inside and told to wait aside – it makes you feel like an unwanted guest.
Another major issue: The staff speaks very little English. Communication is difficult, and it’s clear that foreign guests are not particularly welcome. For an international hotel in Tokyo, this is hard to understand.
The location is fine if you use the subway right in front of the hotel, but it’s quite far from the city center.
In summary: a nice spa and clean rooms, but overall a disappointing stay. I expected far more professionalism and hospitality from a Prince Hotel.
