Yelp
Got to my hotel in Cairns and wanted to grab a bite for dinner. Nothing close by struck my interest, so a Yelp search revealed Tokyo Dumpling a couple of blocks away. Restaurant is two stalls worth of space, on the smaller size but clean and spacious- outdoor cafe tables were also available.
Now I've been eating on a regular basis during the long flights from Michigan to Cairns, so I wasn't hungry, but I knew if I didn't eat something for dinner I would be starving before breakfast. Something on the lighter side was in order. TD had an interesting cold ramen salad on the menu, with an order of gyoza and a beer my desires were fulfilled. The orders soon came, beer, gyoza, then main dish. The ramen salad was a hit, good amount of greens, chicken, and noodles- an interesting variation on somen salad. Gyoza was pretty tasty too, good size and flavor. Total bill US with tax & tip was under $25, not bad for a resort city like Cairns. Will keep it in mind for future trips to Cairns, recommend and will repeat!
