experienced the tour that includes earthquake, smoke, flooding, typhoon, which highly increase people's awareness of natural disaster and how to avoid them and make yourself safe. highly recommend booking in advance. the staff will teach you no matter who you are, and they are very kind to show you everything. kudos to the presenter!!!!

Came twice because we couldn't get a slot to do the activities. Great learning experience. It's quite traumatic to really feel the earthquake shocks from the stimulation. Salute to all the rescue workers!

It was possible to join full experience without reservation by arriving 20mins before start (2 people). Even though I'm not japanese resident it was worth to go there, because of often travel and fire, car flooding may happend everywhere. Staff was so nice and friendly to everyone. English was understandable by translation device. This is not turists attraction, go there if you want to learn about safety.

I enjoyed this prevention session so much!!! People are very kind and welcoming. I arrived at 9 a.m., and with no reservation, they accepted me in the group. For rainstorms, urban floods, earthquakes, and smoke sections spent 2h. Very organised. Even if I'm not a Japanese speaker, you will find information written in English on the walls, and the body language is easy to figure it out. Thank you, Tokyo Fire Department, for this opportunity! Is so important to provide awareness to everyone, regardless oft whether they are locals or not!!! I'm so impressed.

Just to clarify: English speakers are also welcomed here! I saw many comments on Instagram that they do not speak English and that tourists are not welcomed. We went to the full prevention course 2 weeks ago, and they were insanely kind to us. I have booked online and when we showed up, they had my reservation. Now the website says that there should be at least someone in the group who speaks Japanese, but the lady who gave us the tour did her best and tried to explain the most important things in English. That being said, most of the tour is in Japanese, but you will get the gist of everything. The activities are fun and extremely educational. (The introductory video was also with English subtitles) I can highly recommend going there as a tourists. The training is completely free, so I recommend getting some merchandise from their store afterwards.

Such a good experience at the disaster prevention program. It covered four main disasters: earthquake, urban flood, typhoon and fire / smoke. Recommended to have someone who can understand Japanese to accompany you as the education sharing was in Japanese but even if you don’t have a Japanese friend / translator, you’ll still be able to understand based on the body language and the videos do have English subtitles. The best one was the opening animated short film on the Great Kanto Earthquake. Kudos to the production team for making that wonderful and insightful video. Remember to submit your reservation on their website early! We check about two weeks prior and only very limited slots left!

Managed to get Amazing tour for 2h in english on fire, earthquake and rain disaster. Basement parking available too.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience due our disability as we can’t hear but we can read English translate from Japanese on the app and the staffs were lovely and had no problem. The boss decided it is a no because it was three of us who are Deaf. So he said to arrange an interpreter and it wouldn’t make a difference since we do not know JSL. So we were politely and he said we are still rejected. So I’m reporting a discrimination as we had no problem in whole country in Japan for three weeks. The boss wouldn’t tell us why and kept saying it is not the case.
