Tokyo In April

Yum! Great lil sushi place that’s always quite busy. They’re also the one place I’ve found that does rice free sushi rolls really well. The fish is really fresh and the portions are great. Would recommend! Don’t try ordering via the QR code / app though it doesn’t work lol

Popped in here after our ice hockey game and it definitely didn’t disappoint Service - were very attentive Food - beautiful slices of salmon sashimi, one of the better ones I’ve had for a long time. Also got the unagi hot stone bowl, this was amazing also. Loved how the rice was crunchy from the stone bowl and it kept the meal so hot which was great

This restaurant is a regular spot, nothing fancy when it comes to the decor, but it’s nice and I like it. The service was great—there was a bell so servers could always find you if you needed anything, which I thought was a smart idea. The food was amazing, tasted great and was fresh. I’m definitely coming back and will tell everyone about this place. It is also clean and nicely decorated. Price is decent in my opinion

Impressive Japanese restaurant offering many classic rice/udon dishes and sushi. We tried the Unagi Hot Stone Bowl and the Nabeyaki Udon and were very happy with our meal. The stone bowl was sizzling hot, generating many pieces of crispy rice! The pickles and other ingredients combined with the Unagi to form a well balanced flavour profile. The udon soup was packed with various seafood. The udon was chewy and contrasted well the crunchy tempera by the side. The ambience is relaxing, decor is stylish, and service is welcoming.

I echo what everyone else has been saying – the omurice is divine. The fried rice carries a barely perceptible smoky flavour (possibly from hayashi sauce), which i loved. It was flavourfully rich, egg was perfect, curry is thick and equally dense in flavour. Top notch. Attentive quick service

We had a wonderful dinner at Tyoko in April. Their service was excellent, and the sushi was incredibly fresh. Especially the salmon and jumbo hotate were amazing, and the negi bluefin ikura cone was my favorite. The best Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. We absolutely loved it, and we’ll definitely be coming back.

The omurice! So good. Like so so so good. I got it with the sausages cut like octopus which was delightful. Pretty classic omurice with curry sauce. Really filling and delicious! If you’re in the area stop by and full your belly with food that’s not just delicious but also a fun experience. That reveal when they cut it open is always worth it. Then mix it up and go to flavour town!

Food is great at a reasonable price! It’s not easy to find places with good food and around $20. I got the tonkatsu set and it gave me a really good portion of pork. It comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, two dipping sauces and sesame seeds.The dipping sauce is delicious. Tonkatsu is crispy and juicy. My friends all got Omurice and some with add ons. The curry sauce is really good. Egg is cooked perfectly and the seasoned rice is delicious. Service is also great. They always check in with us and top up the tea. I will definitely come back and try other food.
