My fave Japan diner style restaurant, service is great. food comes out fast and always fresh. Great for quick lunches on a work break or amazing for dinner. The decor is fun and kinda iconic feels like they kept it similar to when they first opened. Salmon saiyo bento and salmon ikura don are my go to’s but I just tried the spicy salmon rolls for the first time and they were so good as well. Try their miso soup it’s one of the best Toronto has to offer.

Lunchtime visit and greeted by friendly staff. Plenty of seating both with a view outside or in a quieter area. I noticed the staff speak Japanese. The menu is quite comprehensive and I went for the chicken katsu which came with rice and a salad. Where I was situated I could see the food go by and the tempura and Japanese curry looked good. My chicken katsu was pretty good. It was fine for a quick lunch. The prices are what I'd expect in the area. I noticed that you can purchase alcohol with your meal, either Japanese beer or inexpensive sake. The cafe was well maintained along with the washroom.

The service is friendly with limited amount of seating inside (gets packed very quickly and ideal max seat is 4). Really enjoyed their katsu dishes here - nothing overly salty and well balanced flavour. Would come here again.

Cozy dining space. Friendly staff. Nice homemade style menu offerings. Katsu was a little smaller than I’ve normally seen but for a $16.99 plate with salad it was a very fair portion. The curry sauce had bits of beef in it which made the dish even more hearty

Originally going to give this location 5 stars, the sit-in area is homey, and staff are respectful. However I found a rock in my food. I brought it up to staff and they mentioned it happens sometimes and they try their best to remove it from the rice, however I don't see any other reviews mentioning this. Another waitress said "It's already happened and it is what it is" and apologized to me. They did not offer me a comp or a replacement meal. Overall the food was delicious and well made however I should not be finding rocks in my food. I could've chipped my tooth

came here today with my friend for a break after studying for 6 hours straight and it was so worth it 🙏🏼 the service was so good, the server is so sweet and the food was soooooo good !! location is great and the vibes in the restaurant are super chill. loved it and will definitely come back again 🙏🏼

Cheap and delicious Japanese food. Came here for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait for a table for 3. It was my first time coming back in years and I was really surprised by how well priced this place was . They had lunches for under $20! I got the pork katsu bento and it was plenty for lunch. The tempura was my favorite part as it was freshly fried. Highly recommend and would come back.

The food and service were ok-ish. We had zaru soba, unagi don, and sake don. The host that gave us the table, however, was bad. Don’t know what kind of discrimination we encountered. Every couple was seated in a table for four and there were still three tables for four available. She told us to sit in a table for two. Fine! Then, an individual customer came and the same host let her take the table for four people. No, that individual wasn’t waiting for more people. She ate by herself and left at the same time as us. NOTE: In the middle of all these, another couple came in and was also told to sit at the table for two just like us, but they moved to a table for four by themselves after the host turned her back. Were we just too polite to do what we were told?!?
