Tokyo Motto - MidCity

Tokyo Motto is such a fun and satisfying spot. Their ice cream ramen is super creative and surprisingly delicious — definitely something unique and worth trying. The curry chicken katsu is rich and comforting, and the salmon katsu is crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. We also tried the pork gyoza, which was juicy and full of flavour. Great food with a nice mix of classic and inventive dishes. Would happily come back again!

We ordered Beef don and Ice cream spicy ramen, and had to wait for quite a long time. No apologies is given when the food is served. The beef don was came out first and we still had to wait for the ramen. Quality: The presentation was nice and accurate. But the rice in beef don is not hot, lean into cool down temperature. It was just ok. Honestly, overall is 5/10, and not recommended. The ramen broth was really bland and had no flavour depth, it was almost like they forgot to add soy sauce or condiments. It just spicy, and mix with ice cream was a miss. Nothing in that ramen bowl gave the harmonious flavour. We didn't finish that, 2/10. Such a shame, we had expectations and after that we don't feel like this is worth it.

Visited Tokyo Motto recently and really enjoyed the experience. The Wagyu Sukiyaki Pot was amazing. It’s flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also had the Chicken Omurice Curry, which was definitely my favorite. The menu has a great variety, so it’s easy to find something that fits your mood. The place feels cozy and comfortable, with a nice selection of drinks as well. It’s the kind of spot where you can relax and enjoy good food any time of day. I’d definitely go back.

The decor is nice but its strictly a seat yourself and order via QR kind of experience. Food came out decently fast and looked great but upon poking at the chicken katsu, the problem became apparent. There was more breading than chicken which was the thickness of a ham slice. Pretty disappointing. At least the egg and curry rice saved the score from being lower.

The thick katsu meal is ok but the pork is a bit dry. The chicken katsu is nicer. Overall good for a quick meal.

The chicken karaage was good with big portions. Ordered via delivery and kudos for the speedy turnaround, arrived pretty fast which was great! 😋 Great value for the price too. Would definitely order again, fantastic flavour!

Got the original omurice. Very filling. Didn’t look like omurice at all. It was more like japanese curry. The curry/sauce was too salty/strong where i reached for the plain rice underneath the egg. Pickles on the side were good.
