Best place with a good mix of retail and F&B outlets. Any restaurant here serves good food. I find shopping here is better than other malls as it not too large and not too small, just the right amount of relevant brands. There is also a Pokemon Centre. Always come back here each time.

Google
This is my first mall experience in Japan. My child asked to go to the mall, and it turns out there's a Tokyo Skytree here that attracts many tourists. The mall has a concept with quite a few open areas, but there are also many great shops inside

SOOYEON JUNG

Google
You can easily get there by bus from Ueno. Skytree is right next door and there are various stores, so it is very convenient. Starbucks had almost no seats because the view was so good. There was a small skating rink leading to the Skytree observation deck, which was nice to see. It was nice that there were both indoor and outdoor activities.

Love this town ❤️ Tokyo Solamachi is a shopping, dining and entertainment complex at the foot of the famous Tokyo Skytree. It has more than 300 shops and restaurants.

Google
visited tokyo solamachi with Kie and Ryuichi a number of times while we were staying in tokyo, situated at the base of tokyo skytree, why keep on visiting? simply there are so.much fun to go around the shops here with different themes, and so.many oishi yummy eatery and restaurants, from local.japanese to international cuisine, and don't forget the 30th-floor Sky Restaurant 634 offering panoramic views from above, as to specialty shops to name a few, there are Pokémon Center, Hello Kitty Japan, and Tree Village…if one has more time and coming with family, the Sumida Aquarium and Tenku Planetarium should be on your radar.

Google
I absolutely love the range of restaurants and activities for the family. There are also rest areas if you're exhausted from the day or just wiped out from going around Tokyo too much. There's a play park exclusive for babies AND another for toddlers/kids. The view of sky tree is absolutely breathtaking. There's even a garden on the top floor if you want to get some fresh air and let your kids run around especially on a very great day. Fair warning, The restaurants are PACKED on weekends and holidays, so expect a very long queue (1-2 hours waiting time on average)

Google
View @ Tokyo Solamachi. . A large shopping, dining, and entertainment complex at the base of the Tokyo Skytree and Sumida Aquarium, housing over 300 shops. . Seemingly endless walking, so many things to see.

This place is amazing! Probably my new favorite mall in Tokyo now. There is something for everyone. There is so much to do and see. There’s lots of food and snacks, clothes, toys, an aquarium, candy, jewelry, and you can go up SkyTree. It’s huge so you can definitely spend all day here. It’s good for souvenirs or just to walk around. There are many bathrooms, escalators, and elevators so it’s very accessible if you have kids or have a wheelchair.

Yelp
Huge multi-level mall underneath the Skytree. Lots of great shops for souvenirs, restaurants, and snack stores. Places to note are the Marvel Small Planet Popup, Harry Potter store, Kirby store, and the Pokémon Center on the 4th floor. Also liked the Curious George Cafe on the 1st floor (facing the street).

Yelp
Omiyage shopping... Solamachi is the shopping mall right beneath Tokyo Skytree and though this complex is quite newer in comparison to others I did find this quite unorganized where it doesn't guide you very well. If you're coming from Oshiage Station there are various entrances and the one that directs you to Skytree does take you directly to it it doesn't still tell you exactly where to go wether it's to shop at the Solamachi, bus/train station or to ride up the tower. There really isn't a staff to help you as you rely on the shop staff to do that (thank you!) but the choices of shops are amazing and you'll basically will find all things omiyage and more...not so much for clothing but there is a bookshop and a kitchen store the choices here are great but is a tourist spot though prices are actually friendly and is a great place to shop is just not great when you find yourself at the back portion only to go outside and walk completely around versus going though the crowd to reach the station though on the flip side they are renovating the train station hoping to make the access friendlier hoping in the very near future. どうもありがとうございます!

Yelp
We wandered around Tokyo Solamachi for a bit after a trip up Tokyo Skytree. It was a happening mall--a lower case sky mall--that was absolutely riddled with the kind of Japanese character goods I would've lost my mind over when I was in high school. I'm 37 years old, and I deeply enjoyed browsing shops dedicated to Jump Comics and Pokémon. I started learning Japanese because I read Dragon Ball and Slam Dunk in Korean as a pre-teen, and I was a dedicated reader of Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece for many years. I'm too old to buy manga-related toys for myself, but I couldn't resist taking a picture with the big Monkey D. Luffy in front of the store. I am also, shamefully, a daily Pokémon Go player, and have been since 2016. If my kids were old enough to be into Pokémon, I'm sure I would've found a hundred cute things to buy "for them" in the Pokémon shop. Other highlights included a Kirby-themed café and a Sylvanian Families pop-up shop, where I bought a couple of figurines as a souvenir for my friend who's obsessed with a TikTok channel featuring minute-long Sylvanian soap operas. I'm not sure my husband--a 40-year-old man who has never watched anime--got much out of Tokyo Solamachi, but I had a great time browsing this character-centric sky mall. It's worth a quick trip if you're already going to Skytree, or if you want to fill your suitcase with fun little cartoon goodies.

Yelp
If you need some ideas on some last minute souvenirs, I recommend cruising through here. There are numerous ways to find your way in, but easiest would be to locate the Skytree since it's a big tourist attraction. However, Solamachi is the mall located within its surroundings and has plenty of things to see, do and eat. There are two sections of Solamachi where one side leads to the Skytree and the other has six stories of shops, restaurants and subway access. The first time we came through, we took the Tobu Skytree line and it dropped us off around the back side by the Moomin Cafe. We had just eaten lunch, so shopping was on our list to do. I ended up bringing back two boxes of tamago sweet confectionaries (black sesame & caramel flavored). The second time around, we made one last stop before we left Japan. We explored Pokemon Center, bought Tokyo Banana confectionaries at Sweets Heart Tree and ate lunch at Ippudo Noodle Express. We also got dessert at White Cosy for the pumpkin soft serve and just enjoyed the afternoon stroll. The first floor has a bunch of shop stalls where you can stroll through the Shotengai Shopping District. There's a lot to see and do, so spend your time wisely here. Time may easily escape you and you may find yourself there for 1-2 hours depending on what catches your eye.

Yelp
Tokyo solamachi is a huge shopping mall located next to the Skytree. First time I came to see the Skytree, I was annoyed by the fact you have to go through this mall to get to o the Skytree if you arrive by trains. I actually had time this time and walked around, pleasantly surprised by so many shops and restaurants, this mall itself can be a destination. All the restaurants on the 30th and 31st floors tend to be a bit high end. Offering nice place to eat. 4th floor offers all kinds of interesting shops, I didn't buy anything but it was fun looking at all kinds stuff for sale. Some of them were so unique, it was tempting. 2nd floor offers all kinds of food to go, I came to shop for dinner to take home that night including deserts. Everything I purchased was good and all others looked so yummy, I wished I had more appetite without gaining weight. Everything there was Skytree pricing (aka, a tad more expensive). If you arrive by metro, look for a Skytree picture prior to getting on the escalator. When you take a picture, it looks real as if you are hanging on to it. I had fun taking pictures there. Very crowded on weekend. Just be prepared to wait in queue everywhere.

Yelp
Lovely place to visit. Everywhere you go, the service is fantastic! Whether you want to go up the Skytree Tower (which we did not due to fog and meh weather conditions), check out the Pokémon Store, or the Ghibli Studio shop, there is definitely something for everyone! A must go when in Tokyo! Fun for the kiddies as well as the big kiddies too, such as yours truly!

Yelp
This mall is huge and very fun. It's multiple floors, and filled with outrageous stores, eateries (Ippudo is here!), dessert shops, Totoro store, and more! You can shop all you want, as you wait for your turn to go up the Sky Tree Tower. That's what we did! We ate at Ippudo Express inside the mall, and browsed around the mall until it was our turn to go up the Sky Tree. We even went to the Totoro store to buy a giant stuffed Totoro to bring back to the states. Hooray, what fun! Escalators and elevators available all throughout the mall. People are friendly too and will direct you to find things that you're looking for. Is easy to get lost though! Air conditioned inside.

Yelp
My cousins and I naturally headed here after checking out the Skytree tower on a Saturday. It's basically like any other mall, just bigger and heavily advertised in Skytree and Solamachi merchandise. We didn't explore the entire mall as it'd take a good couple of hours (especially with the crowd), but still managed to quickly browse a couple of floors and had lunch on the 6th floor. Here's a few stores that stood out for me: Hello Kitty Japan (4F) - One of my daughters love her; great for those who collect as they sell a lot of limited edition stuff. Nanoblock (4F) - Their first exclusive store; they have a few Solamachi-limited stuff. Calbee Plus (4F) - The famous snack company's store; they sell limited edition merchandise as well as freshly fried potato chips, Poteliko sticks, and Pote-churro. I'm sure there's a lot more good stores to check out, but I wasn't really interested in any Skytree or Solamachi limited stuff. Besides, we had other plans, and like I mentioned earlier, it's like any other mall so I'd rather go elsewhere that's less crowded to shop for souvenirs.

Yelp
This is a little shopping center that is located under the Tokyo SkyTree. If you don't want to go up to the observation tower, definitely come here for some food and some souvenirs! Don't forget to get your tax refund before you leave.

Yelp
Tokyo Solamachi is an awesome commercial center that is adjacent to Tokyo Skytree. When we were in Tokyo my BF and I got about by train and we went through the same experience Yuko H. did - you need to go through the center to get to Skytree. The center was packed so it took longer than it should have to get to Skytree. In the end though, I'm happy we went to this mall for two reasons. First of all, I was able to get my nephew a really cool Japanese baseball team hat in one of the stores. Then there is the fact that we got to experience the food area in the lower levels of the center. It was amazing as the Tokyu Food Show!!!! The have everything from matcha ice cream to sushi and more!!!! So much stuff to see!!!! What can I do without at Tokyo Solamachi? It gets packed!!!! What stands out at Tokyo Solamachi? It's a convenient place to pick up something you won't find in a touristy gift shop and you don't need to stray off to get to it, because it is on the way to the Tokyo Skytree. Five stars!!!! Tokyo Solamachi is really, really ridiculously great!!!!

Yelp
Another mall. I can't believe I'm writing a review for another mall in Tokyo. I swear there are so many malls here that you will lose your mind within a week from all the stores you will encounter. Either way, this is one of the better ones as they have the most awesome Ghibli store in existence. It's also located right by the Tokyo Skytree so you'll more than likely pass through this mall on your way there. Lots of good places to eat as well and of course thousands of people crammed in a little space. Either way, you'll have plenty of variety at this mall.

Yelp
Best green tea and strawberry ice cream. The combo goes perfectly well together. The cone adds extra crunch. Will definitely be coming back next time we are here.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying this is the best ice cream/milk I have ever had. Even better than the titty milk I sucked on when I was a starving fat-ass baby. The cream is phenomenally light but flavorful! There's a pungent hint of almost cream cheese in it. The cones come in a varietal of flavors which accompanied the ice cream very well. If you go to Japan/Tokyo Skytree without eating this then #shameonyou --after reading other posts I'd like to add I had the original milk flavor ice cream with the basic yellowish white cone and a milk cup--

Yelp
The mall where Tokyo Skytree (tallest building in Japan) and one of my favorite ice cream spots are. Lots of snack, souvenirs, and clothing shops here too. I think it costs around $10 to go up the Skytree tower to see the entire city, but we came late so we didn't get a chance to go to the top. Lots of things to see here though, stop by if you have time. Also, 63 degree's ice cream shop is a MUST-TRY! Green tea match ice cream with sesame cone.. drools. Makes me drool thinking about it.

Yelp
One of my go to places when I visit Japan. I come to Japan often and things get boring but I always love coming to solamachi. It's continently located under the Tokyo skytree landmark and they have a bunch of stores that sell items only available at solamachi. There's 7 floors with restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, gift shops, bookstores, clothing stores, etc! It's also located above right above the oshiage train station so public transportation is super easy. It's also only a 20min walk or 3 stations to Asakusa. Even as a Japanese American it's really exciting to come here and window shop, buy gifts or eat out.

Yelp
Skytree offers something for everyone. Shopping, dining, and incredible views of Tokyo and the surrounding area. Stop into the world beer museum if you're a beer aficionado. You can find lots of free viewing points too. The higher floor restaurants have great views.
