Visited with a buddy recently. What a cool spot. The food was awesome. The staff were friendly and helpful since we had not been there before. I had a bbq chicken rice bowl and goyza. The vibe was good and it wasn’t loud so we could talk. Can’t wait to come back

I normally like Tokyo Street Market, and i always get their bbq chicken donburi bowl, but what you see in the pictures is what i paid 9 dollars for. Small portion looks like one chicken thigh, not even full. I’m very confused about what happened, the quality and quantity, is definitely not there this time. Probably won’t be back after seeing this. Sorry Tokyo Street Market :(

Perfect spot if you’re looking for a fast and satisfying meal. Food is served quickly, making it ideal for an in-and-out dining experience. There are plenty of affordable options and a nice selection to choose from—something for everyone. Great value and convenience! I appreciate that the patio is dog friendly.

I used to really enjoy eating here, but the recent changes to the bowl and the way the food is presented have noticeably lowered the overall quality. The portion of meat compared to the size of the bowl is clearly lacking now, which makes it feel like you’re getting less value than before. These changes have taken away from what made this place good in the first place. I genuinely hope you reconsider and return to the old style, because this new presentation is disappointing.

Awesome food and great deals to feed a family! We ordered delivery from this restaurant and everything was very good. My kids had the miso ramen deal and I tried the black deluxe and my husband had the red deluxe. We all shared kaarage don and many flavors of the gelato/ice cream. I liked the yuzu the best! I was not a fan of the type of juice like bubble tea they serve but my family all loved it at least. The kids especially. We really loved our take out experience with Tokyo Street Market. :)

Place is located right next to the main road. Food is fantastic. Staff is friendly and polite. Atmosphere was good too nice and cool. Biggest eye sore was the garbage bin which was located right at the back and it was overflowing. Kinda disgusting

I’m so disappointed in the change of menu, genuinely I’ve never left a review really ever for a negative reason but I feel this needs to be said why change the menu and up the prices i understand upping prices in today’s day and age but removing so many staples from your menu that have been there for YEARS wasn’t on my bingo card for the end of the year. Loved the place before very much limited menu I loved the Karrage Don gone wings gone prices upped and amount of food decreased in the ramen I had and replaced with higher not as good food. Won’t be coming back and that really disappoints me since this was my favourite place to go for food anytime. If you used to get the 12+ things on the menu that they removed and are no longer there try somewhere else. Love the staff as well nothing wrong with them they didn’t know why the menu was changed either

Cheap fast ramen. Good value and very affordable to order alot of things since its quite cheap in comparison to other places. Whenever I am in calgary. I visit this place. I love it because I can order to my hearts content and it will always be less than $30 for myself. I recently got ramen and rice bowl and some salmon maki for just under $30. All the ingredients of the ramen were fresh and comparable to other ramen places. The broth is very rich and fatty. And personally I do like the broth and its quite similar to most places in calgary. In the basement they have a sushi store with a variety of very cheap sushi meals to go. Perfect if your in a rush! Always a go to for me and I would recommend you try it out. They have a few other locations now but this one is the original and I think its very convenient as its just off the highway to get to banff

Food was so great. Was a bit worried with their sushi, but it tasted amazing. I had the rainbow rolls - and one flavor is mango which was so good! Ramen was also great. Not a big fan of regular tonkatsu ramen because of the flavor but their black ramen was delicious and not overpowering! Love the design of the place - plenty of seating downstairs, and also outside. Service was great. Mostly self-service besides the ordering though!

We had some miscommunication when ordering in person. I had wanted the Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen but probably ordered it in an unusual way by saying "Tonkotsu Chashu". We'll they have Chashu-Don and Chashu-men...... I was supposed to say "Chashu-men, Tonkotsu flavor".... I ended up with the Chashu-don...... And no ramen. When I brought it up turns out I was charged correctly for something I didn't want. They were super nice about it and allowed me to pay the difference so I could get the dish I wanted. My Chashu-men, Tonkotsu flavor was excellent (so glad they made it for me) and the bonus dish turned our great too. Overall very good food and excellent service. Will be back again.

I love this place! I like to go downstairs and shop the ready made food to go! The neighborhood is super cute too.

This place has it all- dine indoor/outdoors/ and downstairs. Open kitchen views on both levels, and market place offerings including bbt and sushi togo and candy gifts. The crunchy curry chicken wings are an absolute must and such a unique menu item you don't see anywhere. The vibe is super casual and prices can't be beat here altho it was announced all prices will be updated on Nov 1 with all the inflation going on. Get in before they do! And bring a friend because this menu is so much better shared. Free parking lot attached to back of the space.

This brings me back memories of Tokyo. The little lounge area downstairs with the sushi is such a great idea. Ordered the ramen and chicken curry. Couldn't have been more authentic. So good. Love the ambiance too. Very cool spot.

Spicy miso ramen was on point. I love the broth, it was full of flavors. I finished mine and was contented with it. Pork belly skewer was a bit bland for me, sushi were average, and takoyaki is worth trying. They don't only have ramen, but also they serve pasta such as fettuccine.

Had the black ramen with gyoza and it was really good. You come here to try out a bunch of items and grab snacks for the ride home. Yakitori (beef and chicken) are solid as well.

The black ramen is so good. I've had it twice now and both times were constantly delicious.

Food for $5? Yes, please. This famous hidden gem in downtown Calgary is known for their cheap menu with options to take out food or dine-in. You can get ramen for $5, sides for $5, and take out sushi for under $10. The quality of food was pretty good for what you're expected to pay and was still flavourful! I loved how they also have an bottom floor for more options to get take out. In some ways it felt like you weren't in Calgary at all as every aspect of the restaurant was an experience in itself. Stop by if you're looking for a cheap date or just an overall cheap dinner, and still get quality food!

Great food - everything we got was really good! There's also a grab n go sushi/snacks bar downstairs with pretty affordable options. Only thing I didn't love was that the chicken wings were a bit too salty but no big deal ! 9/10 would recommend!

Ordered the black Ramen and it was good. Very tasty, lots of different ingredients. Would go here again to try their fried chicken or sushi.

Interesting concept. The food is in different places in the restaurant. The ramen is upstairs. The sushi is in a refrigerated case downstairs. We tried the ramen and it's average. The pork is grilled and not much flavor. The takoyaki portion is small 4 pieces. As a tourist visiting Calgary, I would not recommend a stop here.

Food great and very fresh. You find dishes there you won't find elsewhere. Prices very good taken there for birthday and went back next day to enjoy a second time

Went here with the whole family and had a great time. We feel very welcome when we enter the place and the staff is very accommodating. The seats for me is a bit uncomfortable, but I get to get along with the mood (not just in a very long time). The food is delicious and is reasonable. The overall experience is awesome.

Very cute market with lots of tasty options. Inside has tables and outside has plenty of seating. The skewers, ramen, and everything else was delicious! The pre-made nigiri and drinks are also delicious if you're looking for a snack.

Ordered the Deluxe Red Ramen. Was a little disappointed because the noodles seems like instant noodles and the texture of the noodles is a little hard and dry. The soup was okay but not impressive. When I found this place on Yelp, I had high hopes that it would be similar to the Japanese Ramen store in Japan Village in Brooklyn New York. But I have to say the deco of the place is quite impressive and a plus point for them.

A super interesting concept. They operate like a food court stand or like an indoor street market stand. Food are inexpensive here and probably one of the cheapest food/restaurants you can find in Calgary. Basically, you order and you sit down and wait till they bring your food over. The food doesn't necessarily come quick but again it really depends on what you order. There are limited seats inside and outside. Their seating concepts are about communal eating. They have long tables inside and outside. It is a place where you find a seat and just eat. More like eat and go place. I ordered the deluxe miso ramen and lamb skewers (3). Food was ok. Not wow. The deluxe miso ramen was $7 and portion size was not bad. Flavor was ok. The lamb skewer wasn't anything special. It did have a strong gamy flavor. I later got the potatoe twist cheese and onion flavor. I really liked the potatoe twist. However, that took like 30 mins to come. Probably it is because not many people orders it. The place does get really crazy busy. Expect to have to wait.

It's the place that you definitely have to go when you're in Calgary!!! You can't beat the price, the taste and the hospitality! Just literally like having a little Japan in the prairie! The ramen is $9 and if you have combo (with bubble tea and side dishes) is $15! We order 5 dishes include combo for the total $50 include tips! Definitely gonna come back!

Interesting concept. There's a tiny lot behind the place. Upon walking in you may be overwhelmed with the endless decor on the wall and the Asian snacks for sale on display. We came here on a random Tuesday lunch before heading to the airport and was able to grab a table quickly. The place slowly started filling up towards the end of our meal. The prices here are very affordable, it is dirt cheap if you convert to USD. The place sells ramen, yakitori, curry bowls, sushi, udon, the list goes on. For a bowl of ramen its around 6 to 8 CAD ($5 or less USD, dang... so cheap). Such a steal! I tried the spicy miso deluxe and the fiance had the curry bowl. The portion of my ramen was not bad for the price; a bit tiny but enough to fill me up (wasn't very hungry this time). The broth was flavorful and not too salty. If I was extra hungry I would've ordered something else to keep me full. The curry bowl is rice with Japanese curry, pretty tasty. We tried the pork belly yakitori skewer which was tasty. It came with 3 skewers for 5 CAD. I wanted to try more items on the menu; with my appetite now I would opt for 2 entrees. LOL. You order at the front and they give you a number to place on your table. The worker brings you your foods, which is convenient. My fiance's foods took sometime... but mines came out fairly quickly. If we're ever in town visiting Banff, we would probably drop by here again for a quick lunch. We like how it's not in the middle of downtown with limited parking.

After a hair pulling ordeal at the airport trying to procure our mishandled luggage. One could definitely work up an appetite. That and the fact that we have to drive all the way back to Banff is kind of a downer. So we decided to have a quick bite to eat here. Izakaya joints are now popping up all over the place. Cheap food, decent booze, no B.S. service,,, why not? Right? So we get here and we walk in. First thing we hear is the staff murdering the "Welcome, we're open for business." Greeting in Nihongo. "Hirashaimasu!" ... but what we heard when we walked in was. Haimase!!! Maybe the average Canadians don't care,, but this guy is deducting a star for that. #AttentionToDetail guys. Ok,, food.. Let's do this. Gyoza: Actually a very strong gyoza,, totally brought me back to when I use to frequent japan. The flavor and the texture was winning. Takoyaki: This one is actually a winner too. Perfect flavor and texture. Bonito flakes plus the mayo sauce combination is champion AF. Pork Belly Skewers: I could eat like 20 of these and keep going. It's that good man. Sauce and salty bits of pork is like a swift kick in the jaw. It's that good. Red Ramen Deluxe: With everything on it was pretty good. A bit overwhelming, but I do like the flavor. Plus the spiciness is totally ok point. Miso Ramen: My husbands choice and it was sublime. Perfect balance of umami and destruction. Yea, that about sums it up. Noodles were perfect and so are the accompaniments. Would've been a solid 4. BUT!!! Since I kept hearing everyone murder "HAIMASE!!" Listen, your food is amazing, but your front of the line employees seem to be dropping the ball on purpose. Hire people who are willing to pronounce the simple greeting. Found this place and we were excited to try it out. We were a little confused on how things work though. We walked in and there was really no instructions on what to do. Luckily, some one came in after us and basically we just did what he did. You seat yourself but before you do that you get a menu from the table that is right in front of you when you walk in. You mark what you want and take it up to the counter were you order. You pay and they give you a number and bring out your food. We ordered some ramen and some appetizers. The food came out pretty fast. My ramen which I got the miso ramen, was amazing. My husband ramen was good as well. The appetizers were good. The experience was something to learn but overall the food was good and so is the place.

Should you go for the imported drinks/candy/snacks/reads offered for very reasonable prices? Yes. Should you go for the extraordinarily good ramen with handcrafted noodles? Yes! The traditional street food served on skewers? Yaaaaaasssss! Walk in, place your order, pay and wait for a table( if it's busy). Extra points to the restaurant staff who ensured that we (who were first in line) got a table over a group of other patrons who cut in line and were loudly lobbying for "dibs" on the next available spot. Both the spicy soy and traditional miso ramen are exceptional. I am craving a return visit already. Spring the extra $2 and get the Deluxe. The 5 dollar version is in a plastic bowl whereas the deluxe -at 7 clams - is in ceramic with extra goodies and a nice spoon. Huge fan of the decor, staff, food and the crates/freezer of goodies!

4 for concept, 3 1/2 for food. I love the idea of a mini Japanese snack market/fast casual cafe, the food was solid, not incredible but still good. You walk in and bubble in a menu of what you want before handing it to a cashier. The dishes are small and cheap so Tokyo Market encourages trying different items. Good variety of ramens, donburis, yakitori, and dumplings. The Miso ramen was okay, I wish the broth had a little more flavor and the chashu was thicker, it was thinner than a tissue. The karrage donburi was good but basic (spicy mayo, fried chicken, and rice). The pork dumplings were very good, I highly recommend. Pork belly yakitori was a crime. It's literary chewy pork and not what you expect as "pork belly", you'll be disappointed if you're expecting the latter. But on the other hand, the lamb and chicken yakitori was well received by my group.

Cheap. Inviting and delicious. This is definitely a place to stop for a day into downtown for a quick bite. It's a casual seat yourself restaurant, grab your menu and head to the front to order. You can also buy other Japanese snacks if you're interested, anything from mochi to specialty drinks to salty chips. I went with friends and we all had ramen bowls with side dishes and the totals came to $12-14 a person. So cheap! There was a small line to order but the food came out quickly 5-10 minutes. Things to note: there is limited seating and no reservations so come before or after the dinner rush (at 6:30 it died down on a Tuesday evening). Also there's private parking out back and very limited street parking, but if you do manage to park on the street it is free after 6:00 PM.

Came for a late night dinner since we flew in to Calgary pretty late. It's a small place but they utilized every inch of it. It was extremely busy around 1030 at night but the service was still so quick and the staff was friendly. We both ordered the Tonkatsu and it was delicious. Broth was perfect. We also ordered the beef skewers and it was flavorful and juicy. The prices were super cheap for what you get Best first meal for a chilly night in Calgary

I loved this place and wished that they were in the Los Angeles area! They are located on Centre Street a few blocks from downtown Calgary. They are a small restaurant located at the SE corner of Centre and 9th Avenue. The concept is great. They are like a fast food restaurant. You order at the counter, pay, find a seat, and wait for them to deliver the food to you, All they have is Japanese food...ramen, yakitori, donburi, sushi, boba teas and a few other things. The price is cheap, nothing over $10. After paying, they give a number that they will search for later to deliver your food. I was happy with the ramen, pork belly yakitori, salmon sushi, and the tea I ordered. The Tokyo Street Market is a great place! I love it! Please come to LA!

They were open on New Years Day and I got my craving for ramen totally satisfied! With most places closed for New Years Day, I was gratefully happy that we were able to come here. Order is placed at the counter, number assigned and brought to you at your table (FYI, the ramen can be ordered as regular or spicy and the spicy is not too spicy). I didn't know if the customer traffic was elevated due to most places being closed on New Years Day or if this was their usual. We came in as a group of four and we thought we would be separated for our meal just to be able to sit. It seemed that with a bit of patience, seating opened up and accommodated not only us, but others waiting to sit after placing their order. While waiting, the kids perused the shelves for drinks, candy and snacks. Cute, very cozy place and the ramen certainly begs for return visits!

Located on Center Street, Tokyo Street Market is a great place to grab some late night food and/or authentic Japanese snacks/drinks/desserts. I really love the vibes of this place, it's always bustling and the staff are super friendly. There are always new items being added and many items that made me feel reminiscent of my recent trip to Japan (ex: melon pan, daifuku, canned Boss coffee). The prices are very reasonable and the ramen is some of the cheapest and in my honest opinion better than some of the ramen restaurants in Calgary! I always get a deluxe spicy miso ramen (they offer small bowls of ramen for $5 which includes seaweed and chasu pork but for $7 you can get the deluxe which includes an egg, beef brisket and some ground pork). One downer is that the egg is always hard boiled vs soft boiled like traditional ramen. I've tried their skewers as well but they were quite small pieces of meat and mediocre in taste. My winners here are the ramen and their $2.50 bubble tea!!! (It's premade in a cooler). My favourite is the fruit tea which comes with pearls and coconut jelly. Overall, I always really enjoy my visits here!

Good, affordable food spot for anytime of the day. Tokyo street market is a Japanese inspired restaurant that has both a unique concept and atmosphere. I love the Japanese inspired art in the restaurant! They have a variety of snacks and food to choose from. Anywhere from desserts to noodles to sushi to curry. Prices are affordable and pretty darn flavourful and delicious! Sushi taste fresh. They are usually pretty busy but the line goes fast. Service was meh.. I personally didn't feel very welcomed entering the restaurant and felt like the staff were short with me when I inquired about menu items. Perhaps a bad day? Nevertheless, food is still good. Limited seating within the restaurant itself (doesn't matter for now because of Covid). They have an area upstairs where they serve fresh cooked food and downstairs where they have an array of refrigerated food such as sushi, bento boxes, etc. Check it out!

I really dig this place. The quality of the food plus the relatively inexpensive price point easily gives it 5 stars from me. I've had Tokyo Street Market on several occasions and some of my favorite dishes are: Black Deluxe Ramen, Gyoza, Truffle Prawn Roll, Seared Salmon Roll, Spicy Garlic Chicken Wings, Chicken Curry Donburi, and Pork Ribs. I've also ordered delivery from this place many times and it's always great. For this price point you really won't find anything this good in Calgary so I would advise checking it out. I know it's always gonna be on my short list when I'm craving a good variety of Asian dishes.

Heard some good reviews so decided to check this out with the family. A bit cramped inside but there is a patio. They have a parking lot and there is also street parking. Quite busy on this day but staff were efficient. Inside is really like a market place. Shelves and shelves of Japanese snacks and drinks. You grab a menu and seat yourself. When ready to order you head to the cashier. We came for the Ramen. They have 2 sizes a deluxe and regular. Both are reasonably priced. Deluxe is larger, and comes with more meat and a soya egg. We ordered the black deluxe, shoyu deluxe, and regular spicy. Deluxe comes in Japanese style bowls and non-deluxe is in a plastic bowl with plastic spoons. All of it was good. Not the best but good. We also ordered lamb in a stick which were excellent. For sushi we got a little salmon platter - it was ok. To drink we got lychee calpico, and water (serve yourself). Food came out quickly and was hot. The market place is a neat concept. If you're in the mood for a quick bite then you won't be disappointed.

Yesterday, I went to eat a bowl of ramen. I paid for it and grabbed my food from the counter. After that, I had to clean up after myself. I wonder why I had to tip them? There was were no servers assisting me. The place was not busy during the time I was in there at about 3 pm. Staff were standing around. After finishing, I decided to purchase a tiny package of sushi to take home. As I was paying, I had to select a tipping option. I could not bypass this option like other debit/credit machines like other restaurant. I feel robbed of making a simple purchase and being forced to pay extra when I did not want to tip. If I purchased sushi at Safeway, I would not have to pay tips on top of that purchase. Why is Tokyo Street being so greedy? Your restaurant concept is similar to any other fast food restaurant, such as McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Star Bucks, etc. Tokyo Street should stop this unnecessary practice of gouging customers. I will never go back to Tokyo Street. There are better restaurant with actual servers where customers do not need to pick up after themselves after eating. I would not mind tipping if I do not need to pick up after myself.

We were on the hunt of something different for donner Saturday night and ended up at Tokyo Street Market! As expected, it was bustling on a Saturday night. Luckily, we were 2 vacant spots! Service here is pretty quick; youre expected to seat yourself and head up to the cashier to place your order. Once your order has been placed, they give you a number and everything will be delivered to where you are seated. We ended up ordering a 5 piece oden (an assortment of fishcakes and meat), 3 pieces of each the beef and chicken yakitori, gyoza, and takiyaki! It was a chilly evening, so the oden was perfect! I loved the yakitori, though slighlty salty. Everything was nice and hot as it was brought out! Parking was relatively easy to find on the residential streets nearby. Overall, it was a fun experience. A great way to sample a variety of items traditionally considered to be street food in Japan. The portion sizes are not super huge but that goves you the opportunity to sample a good xhubk of the menu.

Great place to eat but in the past. Since when did you have to pay for wasabi when it's not included with the sushi packages. I spent almost $80 with tip. Tip was a huge mistake because service was trash. I asked for wasabi for my sushi and the girl said it's 50cents extra with attitude. Very disappointing!!

Probably one of our favorite places to go for quick and tasty Japanese street food. Tokyo Street Market has a cute and unique atmosphere(they have this cute manga wall!). Once you enter, you feel like you're entering a mini Japanese street market. There are tons of Japanes snacks and drinks you can buy that are priced reasonably. When you are ready to order you will need to grab an ordering form where you can mark which dishes you would like. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food, that's for sure! You can buy a small bowl of ramen for $5 and a large ramen bowl for $7. We have been going here a few times now and we have ordered the spy chiarsiu ramen, large spicy ramen, dumplings, chiarsiu and rice, takoyaki, and fried chicken and rice. Everything tastes pretty good, except their boiled egg was very overcooked to the point fo rubbery. But still, for $7 the whole bowl of ramen is very good, especially the broth. So definitely recommending this to friends and family, since it's a very family friendly restaurant. Also, I would just suggest that they have more than 2 high chairs just in case.

Great vibe - the decor makes you feel like you're really in a little street market. Portions are small enough (and appropriately priced) so you can try multiple things. I got the miso ramen ($5, a very flavorful broth and lots of noodles), chicken yakitori (3 skewers in one order) and the pork gyoza (4 dumplings, with a nice, thin, wrapper). Only thing I wish they would do is serve everything on real dishes rather than plastic/disposable stuff.

Very fast, casual eatery with tasty food. Their system is confusing because you can order at the till then get a seat, or vice versa. They don't really care what you do as long as you pay for your food first. You get what you pay for when you're paying as little as $5. I tried the delicious kimchi sashimi donburi, and it was the exact same recipe as Kinjo. The ramen was good for $5 and was a very mini portion. The gyoza was lackluster so I'd skip it next time. The overall quality was good, and we ended up paying $30 for the two of us to be not full, but not hungry. I think since table service isn't a focus for them, they should have a water station for guests to grab a quick glass of water. Otherwise you can grab $3-4 Japanese import pop. The casualness throws me off and a lot of students come here too because the food is so cheap. I wouldn't recommend you take a hot date here but it's good for a quick meal on the way to an appointment or when you want a small portion of ramen without shelling $15 for one entire bowl at other places.

One of my new faves! Cheap priced items - Deluxe ramen - all ramens are good but deluxe is good deal! Yakitori - chicken and pork are my faves Beer - $5 - happy hour all the time! Kimchi sushi rice is really good Takoyaki - awesome Basically they're amazing for the prices. Concept is fun. Very busy and service is good. It's an order at the till Place and the staff are good at recommending items.

Went here on a cold night and it was the perfect spot for a warm bowl of ramen It has a very interesting vibe with lots of snack foods on the side of the restaurant and drinks in large freezers that you can just pick out yourself. Very much like a street market just like its name haha You order up front and take a number and grab whichever seat you like and they bring out the food to you in plastic bowls with plastic cutlery. The skewers come out in paper cups haha I love the lamb skewers!! I could legit eat it all day - it's that good! Perfectly seasoned and the meat just melts off the skewer - super yum! The spicy miso ramen was good too but the skewers for the win for sure! Its open till midnight everyday which is great so that if you want that midnight snack skewers it's totally doable haha

Disappointment is an understatement. I love a good bowl of ramen and on a constant adventure to trying some of the best ramen in Calgary. At a very late hour of last night, I decided to order a takeaway from Tokyo Street Market to be delivered this morning. Everything looks good, food pictures in particular. You know how they say you eat with your eyes? Oh yes, I drooled. I ordered myself a bowl of Black Ramen and a side of Lotus Root Salad. The Black Ramen is in no way black in any visual sense. It has a good flavour but a tad too salty. Noodles have a good bounce to it. A very tiny amount of mince pork and one piece of a well cooked barbecued pork meat (char siew). Nothing to write home about in my humble opinion. It was average. However, when I saw my lotus root salad... My jaw dropped with disappointed. It came in a little plastic ramekin covered in dark sauce of some kind. It was awfully salty and there was no crunch to the lotus root nor was it chilled. It has a soggy hard bite to it. I honestly do not know what makes this a "salad" but it was a waste of $2 on this item. I've eaten lotus root all my life, .. soup based.. stir fry based dish but never had I had a lotus root so poorly prepared. I'm sorry but it was so bad that I had to dump it all in the garburator. Overall items was well packaged except I was missing utensils. No chopsticks nor spoon to go with my food. Will I return? Not likely, unfortunately.

Tokyo Street Market had many items on the menu that are decently priced but when you add all the items together it gets pretty expensive. We ordered two ramen and both ramen were okay, the soup was on the salty side but we both agree we had better elsewhere. We ordered 3 type of yakitori (beef, chicken, pork), the taste was pretty good! had the char flavour but it was salty! there isn't many places to get yakitori in Calgary (if anyone know of a place please let me know!!!). We also order chicken karage donburi, and it was COLD his only tells me it was pre-made. Pork gyoza was okay, nothing impressive. The place is busy! but you can sit on the patio when it is nice out. It is a cafeteria style of service. you order and sit and wait for your food as your server bring food to you based on your number. Make sure you ask for your drink at the till.

Simple yet incredibly good. The noodles, the soup, the flavors were all to my liking. The prices are decent so you can order a ramen or donburi and then still share a couple of appetizers even after doing that the prices are still decent compared to your typical restaurant prices! It's feta place I will be going back to. Overall, you get more out of the meal than you pay for!!

Cool concept but not the best execution. It is not clear how one should order as you proceed to the cashier and then find yourself a table once you've ordered. When food is ready, it just does not make sense for patrons to collect their order a foot away from the cashier. The food is very tasty and saved my experience here. Portions are tiny and despite being a place for snacks and munchies, why not offer a full size entree option at a second, higher price? My rice bowl was delicious but pretty lacking at $5. Give me the option to get an entree size at $15 and increase the portion please. The current pricing structure sucks, the missus and I spent $40 ordering the various yakitori sticks, rice bowls, ramen and other items and left hungry. Such an expensive lunch and we went to Poke to get full. Granted things are tasty, but offering larger sized options would really help this new restaurant get past growing pains.

A great value for money, but do not expect a wow factor for it. The ambiance and layout are well done and had a lot of Japanese culture associations through pictures, displays, music and many more. The food portion was small enough for me to try almost the entire menu and I recommend the takoyaki, kimchi sashimi, chicken karaage don buri, gyoza and deluxe ramen bowl. I would go back again to try Oden. The menu in the washroom is a genius move.

Went back 2X in one night because of how tasty the food was and relatively cheap it was!

Went into this place for a quick bite to eat and loved every second of it! Ordered ramen and some of the meat skewers...and safe to say, I went back for seconds, and thirds. (Of both ramen and the skewers) Everything here is great and cheaply priced as well!

My go to ramen spot when in Calgary. Good food and awesome pricing. Open late. Itakadimasu!
