Toll House Inn

Great modern hotel with a well thought out stay experience, kind staff and comfortable beds. Downside rooms are a little compact, and you aren't able to open a window. Food in the restaurant is surprisingly very good for a hotel. I think it's definitely one of the best eats in Lancaster

Wonderfully decorated place when you walk in. Staff were just lovely, we stayed for one night and we were in for a treat. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and had great facilities. The ensuite was very clean and modern and the room was just very nice all round. Comfy inviting bed with plenty of pillows. Breakfast was fantastic, beautifully cooked and there was very generous helpings of piping hot toast. Staff were amazing, gave us such great advice and even printed us out a map as we left. Parking at the auction mart car park was really close and easy to find

Stopped in Lancaster for lunch on our drive from Manchester to Edinburgh. Of the local antique shop owners recommended it. Food was excellent and service was great. I forgot my wallet there and I didn’t realize it until I got to my hotel in Edinburgh. Obviously loosing your wallet while driving around in a foreign country is very nerve wracking. My sister called the Inn, they had recovered it and kept it safe for me. On our way back to SW England, I was able to retrieve my unscathed wallet and was more than happy to tip the honest folks who work there. 10/10 would recommend.

Real nice hotel in a good location for accessing the city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had an evening meal and it was excellent. The only improvement I would make is a slightly larger desk as there was limited room on the small desk to work on a laptop (business trip) with a kettle, coffee machine, cups and selection of drinks.

Went for a pre Christmas early dinner with friends. The ladies had a full on turkey meal which they thought was really excellent. The gents settled for a massive portion of fish and chips which was absolutely bob on. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great selection of wines and ales.

Stayed here for 3 nights at New year. Had a great time . Amazing staff, Had the fish pie 2 nights running it was that good. Everyone made our new year very special. Can't wait to return as we love this gorgeous hotel

Stayed at the Toll House for one night. Very enjoyable stay. Close to the rail station and town centre. Enjoyed a lovely steak from the specials menu with horseradish mash, local field mushrooms and crispy kale, was cooked perfectly. Room was good very adequate for one night's stay. Breakfast was lovely again well cooked. Would certainly stay again if in the area and highly recommend.
