We visited last Sunday on our way to Death Valley. The drive from North Las Vegas was a bit long, so we were really hungry when we arrived. Luckily, we found this restaurant inside the park. The service was friendly and quick, and the food was surprisingly good! I had a chicken wrap, and my husband had a hamburger — he loved it. I honestly didn’t expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. My only suggestion would be for the restaurant to offer a wider variety of healthy options and side dishes. Overall, a great stop!

Google
We ordered the bison burger and fish and chips. My husband didnt like the bison burger, the blue cheese was overpowering everything and it was too much sauce that it was hard to it. The fish and chip did its par not too bad. Overall, the ambiance of the place was great and the server was really nice and jolly. Everything is of course pricey but that is just the way it is since there are limited option. Alrhough the food was not perfect we enjoyed the place. It was in a nice location near Mesquite Sand Dunes. It also has nearby gift shop and general store.

Google
Great place to stop and eat if visiting Death Valley. Good was delicious, came quickly, and service was great. Near the mesquite flat sand dunes for reference. I got a wrap and it was very good!! However, fries tasted a little stale so maybe get a different side. Place is big on the inside so large groups would probably fit. We didn’t have to wait for a table and went around 8pm.

Google
Got there early, beat the crowd. Menu is kind of limited but the ribeye was perfect and the pasta with shrimp was enough for a lunch tomorrow. Loved it after hiking Mosaic Canyon. Draft beer machine was down but more than enough choices in cold bottles.

Google
A few vegetarian and vegan options but definitely tasty, well made and awesomely edible. It was good to eat some hot vegan food in the middle of the national park. We were pleasantly surprised to find vegan food in the middle of the national park. And it's wonderful to see the vegan dishes are really plentiful and are really well made. I sincerely hope they will expand on the vegan/vegetarian menu here further.

Dec 27 2024-Jan 5 2025 We stayed at Stove pipe for 9 days. We were a bit concerned about having breakfast and dinner every single day. Our previous National park dining experience had been courtesy Delaware north at Sequoia and Kings canyon. The food served there was marginal at best. Our expectations at Toll road were totally exceeded. The food was great as was the service. We ate all our breakfasts there, a buffet. A wide verity of well-prepared food starting at 7am. We ate all but 2 dinners there. Not a ton of choices, but all excellently prepared. Way better than our previous experiences and way better than the dinner buffet at Furnace creek. All of our servers were wonderful, cheerful and friendly. A couple of them stand out though, Bobby for breakfast (he agreed to my using his name), "D" at breakfast and "V" at diner. I did not ask them about using their full names. You can't go wrong staying or dining with the Powder company based on our experience here.

Google
We stopped there on our way out from Death Valley. Service was quick and good. Two of us took a wrap and the other two shared a pizza. Wraps were good and tasty. The pizza was quite big but taste could be better. Fair prices for such a remote place.

Google
Middle of nowhere inside Death Valley National Park, this is definitely the best restaurant we visited during our 4-day stay. Nicely decorated with movie posters and rustic feel. Waiter was super friendly and welcoming. Food: Burgers were cooked well and tasty. Pickel and fries/onion rings(+$2) came with the burgers. Highly recommend the Ancho Tortilla soup(a little spicy) and the buffalo chicken wing. The best meal we had inside the Death Valley National Park.

Yelp
Awesome customer service. All you can eat buffet is as good as it gets in the desert! After the long hike and got starved, I would eat anything! Hahaha The ambiance is peaceful, with a desert theme! Enjoy!

Yelp
Likes: + Decent food hits the spot. + Free Wi-Fi in the vicinity, considering most of us didn't have service. + Nice, helpful staff. + Pleasant interior ambience. . Service speed was decent. Non-likes: - Not a lot of healthy options. - Somewhat expensive. Granted, it's in the middle of nowhere and travelers can't be much choosers. - Unfortunately it's the only restaurant option in this lot. Not a variety of culinary style options. - My first time ever seeing a to-go charge. I had: $24 Buffalo Bison Burger + $3.25 Lemonade + $11 Seasonal Berry Tart + $2 to-go charge + tax = $43.37 Note: your digital receipt may identify the restaurant name as "SQ Destination Death Valley".

Yelp
Pretty solid place for breakfast at death valley national park. They have a breakfast buffet for around 14 bucks. They have a large feature of breakfast items such as bacon, turkey sausage, sausages, corned beef hash, hash browns biscuits and gravy and many other's that make it worth it. The coffee and juices are unlimited. The staff is very attentive, informative and very helpful. They were super polite and friendly and we had a good experience with their service.

Yelp
Decently good option, especially when there are hardly other options nearby. The ambiance is nice with rustic exposed wood barn architecture. Service is prompt and our server was very enthusiastic and welcoming.

Yelp
If you've ever been to Death Valley, dining options are limited. With that said, I enjoyed my meals here. We stayed a couple nights here and had breakfast and a couple of dinners. For breakfast, it's a buffet with corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage both turkey and pork, french toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, juices and fresh fruit. I thought it was good. For dinner, I had their burger and fish and chips. I was pleasantly surprised as I expected a frozen patty basic burger but the patty was handformed, thick and juicy. The fish and chips was also surprisingly good. Given the limited options, I think this place was pretty decent.

Yelp
The service was excellent! Everyone was so nice, friendly and very accommodating. The food was good and the portion is huge. The inside is spacious. Overall, two thumbs up!

Yelp
I have seen some negative reviews of this place but I feel when you leave reviews you have to take into consideration where you are and be realistic about the amenities and experience. No this isn't a five star restaurant nor somewhere one would go out of the way to eat at. This is the only restaurant on these grounds and with that the food is good and staff are extremely hospitable and friendly. Prices are very reasonable especially when one considers this is only eating option so they could gouge and get away with it. There are enough different food options to satisfy most people including a vegan meatball sandwich and breakfast buffet which was only. $13.99. Great value for food and service was very prompt. Again people, you can't review every place with the same eyes. Trust me I love a nice 3 star Michelin restaurant from time to time and am definitely a foodie who likes great food. You just have to grade things with a sliding scale when you're in the desert and options are limited. Great country style experience and pleasant visit.

Yelp
This review is inflated by the fact that dining options are very limited in Death Valley. On a hot day, it is wonderful to walk into an establishment and be served ice cold water. The service is friendly though understandably short of staff; I'm assuming we came at a time when they didn't expect so many simultaneous visitors. Upon entering, either sit in the restaurant or the saloon. We had fast service in the saloon. Although the prices are a little more than what I would've liked for the quality of food, once again this is Death Valley, and I definitely enjoyed this meal enough. I would say the "handheld" items are most worth it for price/amount/taste.

Yelp
Food (4/5): The food was decent, especially after a long drive. I had the Chicken Wrap, which comes with fries. Nothing in particular was special. The food was a bit pricey, but to be expected. The fries portion was huge. I would come again if driving and exploring thro h Death Valley as it is the first restaurant coming in. Service (4/5): The staff were friendly, and my party of 4 could be seated immediately sitting at the Saloon. You serve water yourself. There is also free Wi-fi within the restaurant. Ambiance (4/5): This place has very Southern vibe to it, with Southern music playing in the background. The place had a good amount of business on a Saturday afternoon. Bathrooms were quite clean as well.

Yelp
We waited food for 40 mins. Servers in the restaurant are not kind. Soups are not suitable for normal people. Hamburger patty is overcooked. I felt a coal taste in the patty.

Yelp
This was one of three restaurants in the national park. We had a casual dinner here and also at the Tavern next door or maybe it was the other way around. Anyway, the two venues are connected, and they use the same menu. Located in the little desert oasis of Stovepipe Wells within the park the meals are good, and the prices are reasonable. This night I had the Elk chili with corn bread. It was hardy and delicious. I could justify $15. Hubs had, for the second time, the Piled High turkey sandwich, $12.95, which was delicious again. The Alaskan Amber was light and refreshing, $7. We are so glad we noticed this area up the road as we stood on the Mesquite sand dunes. We would have paid twice as much at the buffet and dinner at the two hotels in Furnace Creek.

Yelp
I loved the food and drinks here! We ate here both for dinner and lunch the next day and loved everything we ordered. The vegan meatball sub is incredible. The vegan chicken also is great and a great add on to the vegetarian pasta or a salad. The service was great on both days and the food came out quickly, the orders were correct and the restaurant is super cute. Such a great find in Death Valley - really enjoyed our meals here!
google avatar

Yueming Q.

Yelp
We had dinner and breakfast buffet here. The price is very reasonable as $25 per person for dinner and $10 only for breakfast. The tastes of the foods are decent, we are very happy to have this kind of meals in the middle of nowhere in Death Valley. I recommend this place! They also have a bar and a pool table.

Yelp
When you walk in it does feel like a no-frills place to eat a quick lunch before exploring DVNP. We ordered the Cheeseburger, Kid's Grilled Cheese, & Vegan Meatball Sub. All delicious and our plates cleaned. Highlight of our experience here was Debi who was attentive, cheeky in a good way, & helpful. She brightened our afternoon!

Yelp
A little restaurant right on the main road in Death Valley when you're driving through Stovepipe. We only came for breakfast, which is a basic buffet - bacon, eggs, French toast, cereal, etc. The food is okay - nothing to write home about, but it will fill you up for the day ahead. I was surprised by how cheap it was, though. It was only like $9/person, which taking into account the restaurant is right in the middle of Death Valley where there aren't many services, the price is not bad at all. Staff are were beyond friendly and kind. Such a pleasant experience. They also have Wi-Fi here, just ask for the password. It wasn't busy when we were here, but I imagine it would be at higher peak seasons because it was the only breakfast place in the area.

Yelp
This was the only restaurant we ate at in Death Valley. It was the only one with good reviews and it was located near the dunes. We just basically got burgers there and they were fine. The servers were a little rude and wanted to send the kids into the yard because they were running around the table too much or something.

Yelp
Perhaps I got unlucky but my food here was very subpar. My party of 3 stayed at Stovepipe Wells for a night and decided to dine here as it was the only restaurant in the area. We came on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so perhaps it was extra busy due to folks traveling for the holidays. We put our name down for dine in around 5:50 pm and didn't get seated until over an hour later at 7. Apparently they only had two cooks working that day, and one of them was on a break, so there was a huge backlog of orders for the kitchen and they didn't seat anyone for at least 30 minutes to let the kitchen catch up. No problem. We weren't too hungry anyways, so we waited patiently at the tables outside and used the satellite wifi from the hotel lobby. Finally we got seated. The menu is very simple - there are a few burgers and sandwiches, a pasta dish, steak, and some appetizers like wings and tortilla soup. My mom and I both went with the grilled flat iron ($24.50). I asked for mine rare and hers medium well. We finally got our food at 7:40 and unfortunately everything was a disappointment. My rare steak was cooked medium well or well (see picture of the cross cut), the broccolini was overly salty, and the larger potato chunks weren't fully cooked. The steak was also much smaller than I was expecting it to be too. I don't mind the slow seating and service, as I understand they had some limitations in the kitchen, but I can't let the poor food quality slide. My friend ordered the black bean burger with onion rings ($15.95 + $2 to sub in onion rings) and said his burger was really good, so in retrospect I think we should've gone with the burgers here.

Yelp
I stayed at Stovepipe Wells during my visit in Death Valley. They served good food considering the different restaurants I've tried in the national parks. Their portions were huge and great flavors. The staffs were very friendly and attentive to your needs. They offers breakfast buffet that was $10 per person and totally worth to start the day then explore the park. I would recommend people dining here if you're staying in the area.

Janet R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this restaurant. We ate here twice for dinner and twice for breakfast. Both dinners were high quality meals. Considering that we were in the middle of the desert the prices were very reasonable. I've paid way more for far less quality in many other national parks. I'm not sure why there were such ugly reviews on the breakfast buffet. It's all you can eat. The quality and variety is way better than you would get at most chain hotel buffets. The place is rustic. It fits right into the scenery. The waiters were all great. I've definitely recommended this place to friends who are going out to Death Valley.

Yelp
We came here on a weekday after hiking in Death Valley. It was good there was A/C and a clean bathroom after all our hiking. There was even wifi that we used to plan part of our trails and trip at Death Valley since there is no reception in the park itself. The service was great although there were a good amount of people here and few waiters. The food was decent, but my veggie burger broke apart and had a bit too much sauce in it. The fries were just blah with little salt and texture to it. I'd come back here again because there's a clean bathroom and a big menu, but I probably wouldn't get the veggie burger again.

Yelp
After what felt like a long journey back to solid ground after a long hike in Death Valley National Park, we headed to Stovepipe Wells for a break from camp food to try out the Tollroad Restaurant. The tasty food and large portions at this restaurant are the saving grace of this review as the wait to get service once seated was unnecessarily long. The food was quite good, the draft beer was cold, but it took over an hour to get our food brought to us (two burgers and fries). If you're looking for decent meal in the middle of Death Valley this is a good place, as long as you aren't trying to keep to a time frame.

Yelp
When I researched for restaurant, food in Death Valley, I saw lots of negative reviews and warnings from many Yelpers regarding overpriced food in the area. After researching, I picked Stovepipe Wells for our 2 nights 3 days getaway for hotel and food. Tollroad restaurant is part of the hotel, very convenient for us since we just walk from the room to there. Food was good, we didn't have to wait long at all, Our server Roy was super professional, attentive, he came by to check on us numerous and prices were not different than prices in Orange County. Death Valley has limited choices for restaurants and food, so to chose Stovepipe Wells for our getaway was a smart enough choice to have the conveniency, and efficiency, at least for us.

Yelp
4.5! Great quick stop during a day of hiking. Ordered two salads and two classic burgers. Salads were huge and extraordinarily fresh. Caesar came with two pieces of garlic bread. The burgers were juicy and we really enjoyed the rattlesnake sauce (spicy, given on side). Our waitress was very personable and attentive.

Yelp
Where to start - we are staying here at Stovepipe Wells & went to the restaurant this morning for the breakfast buffet. My companion is disabled & requires a walker in order to walk. She used the ADA ramp to access the restaurant. When she got into the building she was unable to enter the restaurant because a very large locked gate prevented her from entering. I found the waitress & asked if she could please open the gate. Her reply was that I needed to wait a minute. Ok we waited about 10 minutes before I went back & was told that I had to wait she was the only one on & did not have a key to the gate. She was angry & defensive & accused me of yelling at her. I politely let her know that we were not yelling at her, I didn't even raise my voice to her. Other patrons were gathering around as some needed to access the restrooms but were prevented by the locked gate. They had to exit the building & go in the ADA door & then back out & around the building. Long story shortened, it took about 40 minutes for the gate to be opened by another patron who had tools in his truck & not anyone employed by Stovepipe Wells. I did tell the waitress that after all of this we should at least be comped for our buffet. She replied she could not do that & I would need to speak to the manager. In the end she did comp us for the buffet. The food was crappy but out here it is all there was. DO NOT STAY HERE!! It is a total rip off.

Yelp
*review is for breakfast, visit midweek jan2023* i'd put this breakfast at 4* anywhere but for it to be out in the middle of death valley and at such a reasonable price deserves 5* all the way solid coffee; bacon and sausage were well above average for a breakfast buffet + it comes with potatoes that you can slather with hot gravy -- all for $10? top it off with fruit, juices, cereal and the fact that our hostess chose not to charge anything for our not yet 2 year old son out of kindness (he barely at anything, which i'm sure she had accounted for) we visited the restaurants at the ranch at furnace creek yesterday and deeply regret not coming here instead. the stovepipe wells area is much more our speed and just doesn't feel like such a money grab thank you for the meal and the wonderful experience; we will not be eating or staying anywhere else in death valley ever again!
google avatar

Sandee L.

Yelp
We walked in and were told there was an hour plus wait, but when I took a peek at the dining area, there were tons of tables open. Must be short staffed, I guess. Anyhoo, we were seated over an hour later (hey! at least the host was good at his time approximations). I was pretty full from gorging on the queso next door at Badwater Saloon, so I just ordered the Ancho tortilla soup and my bf ordered the Chuckwagon steak (with beans and more beans). Both were pretty darn horrendous. I took two sips of my soup and just couldn't muster the desire to keep going. My bf's steak was not much better. We didn't expect a lot since we were in Death Valley and there isn't much around, but this was pretty atrocious. Service was really slow, and our server really didn't seem like he was very into his job. If I knew what was in store, I would have stayed at Badwater Saloon next door (they have an abbreviated menu of Tollroad's) and stuck to the simpler stuff you can't really mess up.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here because it was conveniently next to our hotel room. Tollroad restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations! We were seated within five minutes and our server was so nice! He thoroughly went through the menu and even asked me if I wanted my water bottle filled up when we were finished eating. He was super attentive and kind! We ate here twice during our stay (breakfast and dinner) and once at the Badwater Saloon next door. We tried the restaurant at Oasis and it was not nearly as good as the food here. This was our favorite spot to eat in Death Valley. Food we tried: Dinner: - Pulled-Pork Sandwich with Onion Rings (4/5): Tasty, just a little bit dry. The onion rings were super good. -Frenchie (4/5): Unique burger, enjoyed the brie cheese on top of it. -Cowboy Burger (3.5/5): Get this if you're hungry. -Ham & Swiss Cheese Sandwich (3/5): Tastes like any other ham & swiss cheese sandwich. Wasn't exceptionally good or bad. Breakfast: -Toll Road Special (3.5/5): Pretty standard breakfast. Eggs were made especially well! -French Toast (4/5): Can't go wrong with french toast! I really liked how it came with choice of meat without any extra cost. -Coffee (3.5/5): Complementary coffee so I could not complain! Pretty decent coffee, tasted better than Starbucks or McDonald's Hot coffee.

Yelp
Connected to the Badwater saloon--same kitchen--same menu but Tollroad has 3 additional items (steak, salmon, mushroom pasta). Michael was a one man show--host, waiter, server, etc--with a smile on his face and a great attitude--what a pleasure to see someone who loves their job. we both got the steak--good size, cooked as requested; quality cut and simple--just some basalmic glaze on the side to dip it in--I'm gonna try this at home!! Accompanied by fingerling potatoes and brocollini (not overcooked)--wine choices adequate and all prices very reasonable. I reviewed the rest of the menu items when we ate at badwater saloon. I wish tollroad had a few more things on the menu but is understandable being in the middle of nowhere.

Yelp
It's great that this place is here. Everything is fine about it. Nothing special. Pricey but expected. We had burgers and a chicken wrap. We saw others with salads that looked decent. It's clean and comfortable and service is friendly.

Frank P.

Yelp
Not listed as a buffet with about four items for $25. That's about as far as we got. I don't know why they couldn't be honest about the type of service.

Esther R.

Yelp
As of January 2024 they are not serving food from the menu. The only option isa buffet that is worse than school cafeteria food. The employees were nice and service was great, but the food is not remotely worth $24.99 per person plus tax and tip.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
We had pretty low expectations (after having other meals at the park) and we were pleasantly surprised by the food here! They are doing takeout only with a pretty limited menu - burger, quesadilla, soup, sandwich, wings, salad... Probably around 10 options total. They also sell drinks and had around 8 options in bottle or can. The staff got our order mixed up with someone else's, and we ended up waiting 45 mins for our food. They were really nice and apologetic, and ended up giving us our burgers for free. The burgers were pretty good, in a brioche bun, juicy and flavorful. It also came with a side of fries that were seasoned with pepper and flaky salt! For the price (a lot cheaper than the food options at the Ranch at Death Valley), it's the best option in the area!

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. For dinner I had a burger, pulled pork and flat iron steak. All of the meals were very tasty. The steak was AMAZING!!! I had the same breakfast everyday, eggs over medium, pancakes, bacon, OJ and coffee. Most places only give 2 pieces of bacon, here they gave 4-5 pieces. The meal was filling and tasty. Even though the staff had to struggle through staff shortages and covid restrictions, they were always very nice. When I go back to Death Valley, I will be staying at Stove Pipe Wells Hotel.

Yelp
There are three businesses listed in the Stovepipe Wells area of Death Valley NP. I can confirm that they are all the exact same place: There are three restaurants listed that are all the exact same place (my visit, and photos confirm): https://www.yelp.com/biz/tollroad-restaurant-death-valley https://www.yelp.com/biz/stovepipe-wells-restruant-porterville https://www.yelp.com/biz/badwater-saloon-death-valley In fact, the "Stovepipe Wells Restruant(sic)", has an incorrect address point. It will literally lead you into the middle of the desert, there will be nothing there. Trust me, I know a guy who tried. I've submitted a change request to Yelp to merge these three pages, but in case it doesn't go through, there you have it. This place is A-OK. For being inside a National Park, I'd say it's above-average. I got a steak and it was cooked well (it was rare, I mean well as in "to my liking", I'm not a monster!) and the sides were great. They also had a respectable selection of beer on tap. Waitress was nice, but seemed like she wanted to close the place down and go home.

Yelp
Staying at very expensive Oasis ranch inn. Disgusting overpriced food. Wanted a burger and fries. Not available at Ranch Inn. Drove 25 miles to Toll Road. Glad we did. Excellent burgers. My wife had a plain burger with sweet potato fries, enjoyed very much. I got a "Frenchie" with Brie cheese, fried onions and arugula. Delicious! Kinda expensive, $16 each. Reasonable considering we are in the middle of Death Valley. Our server Destiny answered all questions and checked on us frequently. The fact that there were only about 15 patrons at the time did not diminish our appreciation. Ambiance kind of bland. Didn't go for ambiance, so not important.
google avatar

Albert C.

Yelp
We stayed at the Oasis but wanted to seek out places to eat outside of the resort. Although the restaurant does not have an eye catching exterior, I would give this place five stars for being a good restaurant in the middle of the desert. We ordered flat iron steak, Angus burger and garden salad. All of them were good and above our expectation. Service is also great.
google avatar

Yelp
There really isn't much to say about this place, it's fine for what it is. When staying at Stovewell Village, you don't really have any other options for dinner, unless you plan to drive 30-40 minutes, which is not a pleasant option in the dark. We didn't have high expectations when we came here for a quick dinner, and it was just fine, nothing to write home about. The interior of the restaurant is fairly large, made to look like a giant rustic wood cabin. The walls were decorated with movie posters that were shot in Death Valley, which was a cute touch and definitely made for some interesting dinner conversations. We ordered the chili cheese burger and arugula salad with mozzarella cheese. The burger was average, although I wasn't crazy about the chili on top, it was bland and oily. The salad was 90% arugula, and the reminder consisted of small smatterings of cherry tomato, radish shavings, dried dates and comically small pieces of mozzarella. Overall, given the lack of options in the area, this is probably the only place to stop in for dinner if you are staying at the inn. The service was great and prompt, while the food was average.
google avatar

Jenna W.

Yelp
Perfect stop after a long day hiking/driving thru death valley. Their burgers hit the spot. Cute decor of movie posters that have been filmed in death valley and the inside of the restaurant has been designed like the inside of a mine according to some famous mines nearby including several silver mines at Rhyolite Ghost Town.

Randy T.

Yelp
Wife's burger and onion rings were good. My fries were okay but the pulled pork sandwich was cold. The brown beer was excellent. Pricey for pub food but that's national park food. Service was good. Other than the pulled pork temp, no complaints.

Yelp
If you're from NYC (like I am) or from other cities, you're probably particular about your food, and this restaurant might not be what you're looking for at first glance. However, if you actually have their burgers, they're good burgers. The food is good. The people are great. We enjoyed our meal here and Roy (our server) was great. Not sure how many times we're going to end up in Death Valley, but it's a good place to eat.

Yelp
4.5! We came here during our stay at The Ranch in Death Valley. We were happily surprised with our experience. Our servers were extremely friendly and had fast service. We brought our toddler who was a little loud and needy but it was a family friendly establishment and my toddler loved making "new friends" with our waiter. My husband said his burger was much better than the one we had at our resort, and I was happy to find plant based options. The black bean burger was tasty at lunch and so were the fries. At dinner i enjoyed the vegan tortilla soup (thick and spicy!) and a big house salad. The salad was fresh and a decent size which was a relief - so many salads elsewhere are tiny even when you order them as a meal! It was nice to have a spring mix instead of iceberg lettuce, and the soup was a large serving as well. Our resort restaurants had lost power during our trip so our only options were burgers at their grill, so you can understand how nice it was to find a meal that was not just a burger! My only complaint was that my black bean burger at lunch was a little cold (which explains why it arrived so fast!)

Yelp
We were a group of four staying in Stovepipe Wells and a bit hesitant at eating at this restaurant considering it was the only option we had in the village. We were proved wrong and pleasantly surprised at the point that we ended up eating here two days in a row. The food is freshly made with high quality ingredients and it has nothing to envy to some restaurants in Los Angeles. I strongly recommend their quesadillas and cowboy salad. The service was also attentive an impeccable. I also loved the western atmosphere and decor.

Yelp
Excellent food and service at the Toll Road restaurant. It's a small, homey place with posters of movies with scenes shot in Death Valley on the walls. The décor is simple and cute and the place is very clean. The menu is small but reasonably priced. We dined here twice while visiting Death Valley. We also visited the saloon in Furnace Creek and preferred the Toll Road restaurant. It was much more affordable and the atmosphere was much better. The service was top-notch. From the smile and greeting at the door to the wonderful service by our waitress, Emilie. We cannot recommend this place enough to vacationers in Death Valley. Manage expectations. You are in the middle of the desert. The options will be limited but delicious. We tried a number of different burgers, pasta. as well as salads--all were good. The drinks were also very good. We had the best service we encountered while traveling across the US from one side to the other--thanks, Emilie. I lovely waitress remembered our drinks from the evening before. When we were done the host was always there to wish us a good night. If you are looking for an affordable place stop with a homey, vibe and yummy food, stop by the toll road restaurant.

Yelp
My family and I ate at several different places in the park (19th hole, the 1949 buffet, and here) Food quality here is by far the best of the three places. We have ordered a burger and the wings to-go, and everything tastes good. We would have tried their breakfast too if we were not in a hurry to get started on the trails. Next time!

Yelp
We stopped by here after a day of hiking and playing in the sand dunes. The restaurant is very clean and staffed by very kind and genuine wait staff. The food prices were decent (what we would pay back home) unlike in Furnace Creek where we were staying. The food itself was good. Better than I expected given its its in a national park and a desolate one at that. I highly recommend stopping here for a meal. The staff themselves make it worth it.

Yelp
We had the breakfast buffet. It was overpriced, but I expect that in a location like this. It was ok. Nothing special, but not horrible. Service was good, but I think because of one guy. We had him the night before at the saloon. He was the only one busting his behind to help customers. Most of the staff just sauntered around casually. I overhead a conversation between that guy and his co-worker. His co-worker was praising him for what an awesome job he was doing. The co-worker said usually this shift is a mess.

Yelp
They are the only thing around. They get overwhelmed quickly. They refused even take out orders. Overprice, limited options. No vegan options minimal vegetarian. The adjacent overpriced hotel refuses to allow microwaves Or any cooking in room leading to reliance on this restaurant. They done even supply a shared kitchen or microwave. So eating in Death Valley sucks. Long wait mediocre food they run of of everything

Yelp
When we were here there was only one server. Empty hot plates, they were out of coffee and orange juice. No utensils and there was a long wait just for them to load the eggs, bacon and the rest of the above. But being an avid nature lover and backpacker I forgive them. The one lady that welcomed us was also the server and cashier. This or eat backpacker food? Of course this! It was in fact an all you can eat buffet with only bacon and eggs. Lol! Still it was a better alternative. Very nice looking cabin style rustic building. With a cowboy flair through out. Yup no flair and not much to recommend. I won't recommend for tourist but backpackers? Drop by! . I heard there's another place further down. But in this town this is the only belle of the ball!
