I mean there is a lobby bar and then there’s a speakeasy (in Iceland !!!). I would have put a separate review for the speakeasy if I could have found it on Google. What to say - both of them are an experience in themselves. Met the same bartender - a lovely lady by the name Tudo - who loves the cold weather! The drinks are quite different in both bars. And I would say even the clientele profile. Met and had a great conversation with some very interesting people like Vincent and Christine from New York and Zach and Daphne from Washington DC - all of them, enjoying Iceland and specially at the speakeasy bar. I tried the lobby bar too and I tell you it was good to just chill out. Their complimentary welcome drink is the “fire and ice” on the day you check-in so don’t forget to ask that. I also liked Blue Ben, but I saw people trying a lot of espresso martinis, which is not something for me. Neither did I care so much for the popcorn, which were OK. But oh boy, the nachos were something different. Now when you go into the speakeasy, it’s a different and much better experience. The speakeasy access password is available at the front desk. I’m sure it hasn’t changed for age. The ambience is upscale. And the drinks are very well-made. Try taking “Route 1”!

Not worth the time or money. Stopped by this speakeasy with no bartender in sight. After waiting 20 minutes at the bar, we had to leave the speakeasy to the hotel lobby to ask for service. The three specialty cocktails are ridiculously expensive (even for Iceland). A can of beer is $14 USD. After 55 min, only got one drink because the bartender couldn’t be bothered. With those prices, and terrible service, best to just drink in a pub or the hotel lobby.

Excellent little hidden “speakeasy” behind the main hotel lobby bar. May require a “secret” password to enter. I loved their cocktails, classics with an Icelandic twist. One of the coolest bars I’ve ever been to!

The bar was cool, and the cocktails were good. Too bad they didn't have draft beer the day we went.

Fun spot to grab a drink and hang out before or after dinner. Very cozy vibes and amazing cocktails. Great people and aesthetics if you’re into interiors and good vibes.
