We booked a three-night stay in an A-frame chalet, and the location is beautiful. However, on our second night, we noticed tiny bugs crawling everywhere. My husband approached the older receptionist and asked if we could borrow a vacuum to eliminate the bugs and even show her the photos. She responded that it is normal in the Pilbara region and that the bugs are attracted to lights - no action have taken received. As a result, we didn't sleep very well. I believe they need to address this issue because, as customers and paid $1,123 for 3 nights - we did not have a good experience at all
RE: Response
Hello Tom Price Tourist Park Team
Thank you for your prompt response and for acknowledging the issue we experienced during our stay. I appreciate your efforts addressing your ongoing collaboration with the local council and maintenance team.
While I understand that certain environmental factors can contribute to these challenges, your guests must have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I encourage you to explore additional preventative measures to mitigate these issues in the future, especially during peak seasons.
Additionally , I would like to suggest improving customer service. During our stay, the older receptionist we approached about this problem did not offer any solutions. Her lack of assistance left us feeling frustrated, and as a result, the kids were scared to sleep. We ended up purchasing insect spray ourselves, and as you can see in the photos, some of the bugs were already dead.
I hope you will inform your guests about the potential for such situations so they can be better prepared and not feel frustrated.
Best regards,
