On the Grid : Tom & Serg

"The original masterpiece from the Australian-Spanish foodie duo, this converted warehouse is one of Dubai's trendiest cafes. Serving breakfast, lunch and a wide range of freshly brewed coffee, this is a great place to get some morning work done before lunch rolls around and you find yourself doing more people-watching than inbox-cleaning." - Leen Sadder

We had an amazing experience at Tom & Serg today, thanks especially to our server Sahan. I had a special dietary request and he was incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely lovely to deal with. He guided us through the menu and even recommended the perfect beans for our V60 and Syphon — his knowledge and charisma really made the visit feel special. The food was a solid 10/10 as always. We’ve been coming to Tom & Serg since 2015 — almost 11 years now — and the consistency is unmatched. The quality, flavours, and service never disappoint. Truly one of Dubai’s most reliable spots. Highly recommend, and a huge thank you to Sahan for making our experience even better! 🙌🏼☕️🍽️

Our second time at Tom&Serg for brunch....today with family on a Sunday afternoon and we had a fantastic experience. James and Tapan were excellent and really took great care of us. Super courteous, helpful and friendly. Then comes the food......each of us throughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered the Crispy Rice Omelette, the Sticky Gochujang Chicken Flatbread and the Crispy Chicken Burger 🍔. All were super flavourful with amazing toppings and greens. Loved it. The icing on the experience was when we were offered the Banana Bread on the house. Just Superb. 👌🏻 A must try when visiting.....filled with Walnuts and goodies served warm with butter. Overall it was a Fantastic 🫶🏻 Sunday afternoon brunch. Will definitely be back.

Definitely one of the best brunch spots in Dubai - just be wary, it can get (deservingly) busy! This was my 2nd time around here, after a great first time. They added some new things so we mixed a few new with the old. The new Cauliflower & Turmeric Fritters is good (and filling), but not the best thing on the menu. The Aussie benedict and Baghdad scramble were great, but my favorite (being a girl that loves cheese) was the hot halloumi flatbreads. Definitely coming back and having that as my main next time! It can get busy so you may wait at peak times.

We had such a fantastic experience! Our waiter Jojo was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The food was just as impressive. The fish taco bowl was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the burger was juicy and cooked to perfection with all the right toppings. Everything came out hot and beautifully presented. If you’re looking for great service and delicious food, this restaurant is a must-visit. Huge thanks to Jojo for making our meal so enjoyable!k

Breakfast in Al Quoz — at Tom & Serg Started the day with the Baghdad Scramble: fluffy eggs, beef chorizo, creamy hummus, all next to a paratha — solid. The real star? The French Toast. Layers of peanut butter praline, berry jelly, and maple syrup, topped with crème fraîche — unexpectedly perfect. Sweet, salty, tangy, rich. Brilliant balance in every bite. Coffee was okay. But the industrial vibes, high ceilings, and natural light made up for it. A spot tucked between warehouses but full of charm. — Would I come back? For that toast — absolutely.
