Famed taqueria with a bit of a wait, but the tacos are great and served generously. I waited about 15 minutes to be seated, even though it was only around 10 p.m.—I didn’t expect that long of a wait so early in the evening. After ordering, I was given the salsas without much explanation of what they were. The tacos took a little while to arrive, but they were large al pastor tacos.
The tacos were delicious, and they didn’t skimp on anything. At $35 each, they were well worth the price, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was decent throughout my visit, and while these might be the most popular and possibly overhyped tacos in Colonia Americana, they definitely live up to the name and are worth the wait. Much better than CDMX-style al pastor tacos.
