The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning. Waking up to Mt. Fuji right outside our window was surreal, and we would walk on the path along the river which was a minute away from the entrance to the hotel. The room itself, while nothing special, was good for the price. And the meals were really good! On our second night, they even treated us to crab, and on the third, they gave us a special beef dish. Delicious!

I was lucky enough to have a room on the top floor which had a balcony and the view was spectacular. |The bed was comfortable and the room was very big compared to most Japanese rooms. Like all other rooms I stayed in it was far too hot and the temperature was controlled centrally but I could open the door to the balcony, which also had a screen door, and because we were by a lake the temperature was cool at night.|There is nothing else around the lake but hotels which meant we had to eat dinner there which wasn't great and we got thrown out of the room at 20:30, which was 30 minutes later than they wanted us out but there was nowhere else to sit together in the hotel |The breakfast was better than dinner and a good selection

Came here in April 2021 but only writing the review now. Pictures provided in this review were also taken back then The hotel is a little tired but we were able to get super , amazing views of Mt Fuji directly from our very own room. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location - it’s like a 30minute walk from the station but it was a comfortable walk as both my friend and I only brought a backpack There are lockers at the station if you need to have luggage stored. The hotel also has a shuttle bus so in the evening we used that to go to the convenience store. We only booked room only but I would advise to book the package including dinner because there aren’t any restaurants need the hotel.

Stunning view of Fuji mountain while having hot spring bath from their open balcony. What an unforgettable experience of a lifetime!! Love their inclusive buffet style dinner and traditional breakfast.

Mt. Fuji And Kawaguchi lake view hotel for budget traveller who need good view. Big twin room with big sofa, toilet and shower room inside. Big window side clearly see Mt. Fuji mirroring on the lake that so stuning and beautiful. Also onsen with Mt. Fuji on 5th floor is the so good. The minus point is for air condition which can not adjust and too warm for sleeping🥲. Front desk is ok, he just not smile but welcome with detail for stay.

When we stayed, the weather was cloudy, gloomy, and rainy. Hopefully, next time we can stay there and enjoy the beautiful lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. Cross the street and go down to the lake, you can take nice pictures. Get up in the morning and take a walk, enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery.

3 to 4 stars hotel with reasonable price. Also have dinner and breakfast included. You can have an onsen anytime (break for cleaning only 00.00-1.00 am). The last impressive thing is the location at the lake and can have Fujisang view, if the weather is ok.

This is the best hotel ever in my life everyday wake-up in the morning can always look out to your hotel window to see a beautiful Mount Fuji, and next time I will come again and stay.

Yelp
We are just in awe of the view from our room. This lakefront hotel offers great view of Fuji Mountain. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and very spacious ( the mattresses are firm for Western standards but we like firm beds anyway so it didn't bother us). The restaurant on the first floor offers buffet with Japanese themed entrees that will suit most pallets. You can order sashimi boats on the side for extra charge. There are also hot spring bath houses (both indoor and outdoor) in this hotel.

Yelp
A somewhat dated hotel near the Mt. Fuji area with spectacular views of the mountain and Lake Kawaguchi. You have a beautiful postcard-like view right from your window and a easily accessible trail to walk around the lake. The rooms are spacious and clean, albeit a bit old fashioned. As another reviewer mentioned, the mattresses are firm for better or worse. The other nice thing about the hotel is the Japanese-style baths located in the hotel. It's not a huge bath, but it's nice option for those wanting to experience some Japanese cultural immersion. Another thing to note is that the hotel restaurant is pretty basic. The food was just meh and i'm not sure if there are any other options close by. If dining is not a big deal, then not to worry. The beautiful scenery and its proximity to Mt. Fuji make this a good hotel option.

Yelp
Tominoko hotel - reviews made it sound bad so I was expecting it to be bad. Buy it's not bad. Views of Fuji are amazing, room is clean. Dinner buffet was alright. I would return here.

Yelp
Cozy but great view of Fuji mountain from front of the hotel and also from the room. The water front reflecting night lights is a great transition as Mount Fuji fades in to darkness. The hotel is bit dated but very clean and perfect type of hotel for where it's located.

Yelp
We stayed at the Tominoko Hotel for one night while we were passing through to Kyoto. The rooms were comfortable enough and had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi-ko. The bed was a little hard but it was fine for one night. Dinner and breakfast were included and were not anything special. The public bath or onsen is on the 5th floor. I snuck away while everyone was at dinner and enjoyed the outdoor bath all to myself.. it was definitely a treat (please note that you HAVE to go naked and wash yourself before). They also have vending machines for a late night ice cream or drink. Overall, I would recommend this place for one night while passing through as long as you don't mind a hard bed!

Yelp
Spent just one night here while on a bus tour of Mount Fuji and Hakone. This is a very typical Japanese style inn. The rooms are very basic, but it is clean and comfortable. Meals, breakfast and dinner, are provided buffet style. the food is pretty good if you're familiar with Japanese country cooking. There is also some Western food available. Beer can be purchased from vending machines and you can ask the front desk if you want to purchase shochu. I actually bought a bottle of their self branded liquor, which was not bad, and kept the bottle as a souvenir. The hotel sits on Lake Kawaguchi. Every room has a great view of the lake and Mount Fuji in the background. When we arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon, it was a bit cloudy. However, at 5:00am the next day, it was perfectly clear as the sun was rising. I was able to get some fantastic photos at that time. If you cross the street, there is walkway that basically wraps around the lake in either direction. There are also some spots where you can walk to the water's edge. I saw locals fishing in the lake. Lastly, this hotel contains an onsen or Japanese bath. I find the natural spring water to be revitalizing. Just be careful if you are not familiar with hot spring baths. The water is heavy with minerals and can sometimes cause a reaction to sensitive skin.

Yelp
Great view if you get the room facing Mt. Fuji. Hotel is dated and tired looking. Large room with cruise ship style bathroom with toilet separate from shower n sink. Hotel is always crowded because of us location. Bed is older and kind of soft.

Yelp
Very Japanese hotel with tiny rooms but a killer view of Mount Fuji and the lake. There is a bathhouse that is of traditional Japanese style, no clothes allowed. The views of Mount Fuji are awesome. The food is buffet dinner and breakfast. Both were generally good with choice of pasta, Japanese, fruits, miso soup and many other choices. Overall for the area pretty good.
