A visit to the Tomintoul Distillery is a lovely, peaceful, welcoming, and delicious delight. We booked a tour and were treated to a great time and tasting lead by Steven & Marina. They both had a wealth of knowledge and passion for their product. The tasting room/visitor center is small compared to some but cozy with staff that welcome you in and help guide you towards a whisky you’ll love. We wanted to avoid bigger, flashy tours in favor of something a little more real and homegrown. We found that in Tomintoul. Thanks Steven and Marina!

We had a private tour, no other guests. Steve showed us around and explained everything. We had a close look into the steps of production and the warehouse. Much better experience than in one of the big distilleries.

Super interesting tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had some drivers in our group so he provided them with driver's drams to take home. When we wanted to buy some whisky after, he mentioned that we could probably get it cheaper in our own country. Very honest! We bought some anyway though, the whisky's were fantastic. Afterwards we got an extra dram of some of their peated whisky. Great value tour overall that remained interesting even for the non alcoholics in our group ;)

It took me until 79 years old to discover this delightful single malt scotch. I can purchase with much luck, but, I have The Single Malt is available with wondrous success. I plead success to those who succeed. Success is not hard to obtain. Success in pleading your retail position is valued success in being able to purchase. Simply pause to go to.their website and follow the instructions, then your single malt is yours…easy peasy. Just go to their website, and the treat is delightful. My.good wishes is best of success to your endeavors….ENJOY.

Fantastic distillery tour! We had a private tour of the distillery. All the staff / workers were extremely friendly. You get shown parts of the distillery which most distilleries don't show. Would highly recommend visiting, (tours MUST be pre booked by phone).

This distillery does not have a visiting centre or a shop. The tasting tours can be booked in advance and conducted in a small tasting lounge. The place and surroundings look nice and it is a disappointment that the distillery cannot be visited easily.
