Perfect dinner experience. Friendly and efficient service. We told the waiter we had a show to go to and he made sure we got served promptly but without rushing us. Everything we ordered was excellent, creative, well seasoned and prepared and very well presented. Deserves high praise.

Botton line: Excellent restaurant that is not as pricey as you might think! Chef Federic is a great host! He was interacting with his clients all night, and he clearly enjoys his work. And his work is great! The food was amazing and delicious. He happily answered our slew of questions, helping us choose dishes that we would enjoy and we enjoyed every bite. We actually had tickets to a tango show and we burned them to be able to have our meal hear without being rushed. The service was polite and prompt. The restaurant is a bit aging in some of the decor like chairs but it adds to the experience of it being more of a homely and warm place where you feel welcomed. We only have a few days in Buenos Aires but we might actually go back here for a round 2 instead of trying more places.

Are you staying somewhere in the downtown area? Well, then this place should be on your to-do list. Portions are not huuuge, but you will taste some really interesting things.

We arrived last night at our hotel. The manager told us about this place. It was just fabulous. We had a fantastic dinner and the service was very professional. I think the deseve a 5 star.

Great food but what really stole the show was the orange juice. I’ve honestly never tasted orange juice as delicious as I tasted here. Would go back just for the orange juice...I actually tried to go get another juice but it was Sunday and it was closed. Saddest day of my life.

Google
The best restaurant in Buenos Aires, and one of the best I've ever been in the world. Seems expensive but the quality of food and service are so good that you can even consider it a great deal.

The best dinner in Buenos Aires. Because the Chef de Cuisine welcomed us very friendly in different languages. I suggest the surprise menu. Very delicious

Yelp
I wish we had read more reviews before dining here. This was a recommendation from my boyfriend's colleague - who seemingly had not been there in the past decade or two. The decor and service were both equally as tired as the other. We ended up going for lunch. It took an incredibly long time to get service in an almost empty restaurant. The wine took even longer after being ordered. - The food overall was very dated - the fish course was SWIMMING in the most overwhelming butter sauce - very 80s style. - The bresaola starter was pretty good - nice meat. - The tomato gazpacho was OK. - The wonton steamed dumplings were pretty decent. We couldn't quite figure out what the theme of the restaurant was though, from the menu. I can see why this might have been a top restaurant in its day - but currently it's really in need of a revamp starting with the menu, and following right through to the decor and service.

Yelp
Formal dining. White table cloths etc, amuse Busch, Petit fours type of place. The restaurant can cater for large parties, there was 10 of us there today for lunch. However.... It takes time, 2.5 hours . In my opinion it is probably more suited for evening meals. If they could have been faster for lunch time Service I would have assigned 4 stars. Food was decent, yet nothing to rave about. The one exception is the trio of creme brûlée (vanilla, dulce de leche and coffee) this was a solid dish.

Yelp
Tomo 1 is a transporting experience, a banquet of kings! Above all, it elevates you. The perfection of those dishes still delights me. And the ingredients (for their naturalness and highest quality) literally dissolve in the mouth; exquisite wines and perfect service in every little detail. Tomo 1 should be among the first restaurants in town! Thanks to the team for tremendous happiness. Buenos Aires at its best!!

Yelp
I met friends for dinner here. It was my second time in this restaurant. I had dumplings and trout for the main course. A bottle of rose wine, and crepes for dessert. It was fantastic and the service here is very good. While the restaurant is considered pricey for Argentinians, it is shockingly affordable for Americans and Europeans. You would pay many times more for a similar dining experience in the US or the UK. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
The restaurant strives to be high class, but the food is just mediocre. The staff are attentive, the location is central, the atmosphere is a bit dated, the prices are medium to high for the neighborhood, and the food is beautiful but lacking in taste.
