Nice hostel with good location. The rooms are well-equipped and there were 2 toilets (1 inside and 1 outside the room)'. I stayed there for 2 nights and had a good time. They make recommendations for tours, however, the prices are really high compared to normal travel agencies for similar packages. They picked me up at the airport (not included) and I got there safe and sound around 10 pm. The breakfast is good but the lady in the kitchen quite overwhelmed and doesn't speak English. Besides that, all in all, very good!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Extremely clean with an excellent, friendly staff. Tasty breakfast with many choices, nice hot showers, and for whatever reason doesn't seem to attract the party crowd which is great. The location is also excellent, late night restaurants right out front and a 24 hour cafe. Their airport ride service was great too, much cleaner and nicer car than I experienced from a more expensive hotel when arriving. I would recommend this as first choice for staying in Hanoi.

Not much of a social hostel due to the lack of communal areas. Breakfast is a bit awkward if you're not use to sitting on the floor Japanese style. Stairs! Hostel is a bit far from backpacker area. No free water.||||We stayed in the mixed dorm room. Clean and comfortable bunk beds with spacious lockers (lock included) able to accommodate up to 36 liter backpacks. Toiletries and towel included. Breakfast was great! We loved the omelets, pancakes and buttery fried rice. Staff is friendly enough and the hostel happily accommodated our super late (2am check-in).

What a comfy little home base to stay in Hanoi - I returned here twice in the same week! The family that owns the hotel is super welcoming, even at the earliest hours of the morning, and super-accommodating with us leaving our bags and using the lobby washroom to freshen up while waiting to check-in in the afternoon.||||The hotel is located on a "pedestrian only" road, which means scooters and bicycles, and maybe the occasional car(!), but is surround with so many great food options and convenience stores that you will never go hungry. The rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay - after all, how much time are you REALLY going to spend in our room? They are clean, bright, and the washrooms are spacious and super functional, filled with plenty of toiletries for your stay. ||||The best thing about Tomodachi, however, is the breakfast! Make sure you get the chicken Pho, it is SO GOOD and a great way to start your day. It is filling and so flavourful, and served with fresh fruit and delicious Vietnamese coffee - you really can't go wrong. There are western option for breakfast too, if you prefer.||||My one complaint has nothing to do with the hotel, but its surroundings. Just next door is a noodle stall that stays open until 5 am, and so if you leave your windows open, you will be serenaded by the lovely sound of a metal spatula clanging against a metal wok ALL NIGHT LONG. Either make sure to pack earplugs, or close the window, and you'll be alright!

I spent the summer in Hanoi and was very lucky to stay at Tomodachi house for 2 months. It is in such a perfect location, near lots of restaurants, cafés, shops, gyms, and the train station. On the edge of old quarter it's not too busy, but just a short walk from everything :)||||The dormitory was kept spotless every day by the amazing cleaning lady, and the breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hostel. Couldn't have asked for a better place for my stay in Hanoi, all of the staff were fantastic and so friendly, it felt like family staying here! They went above and beyond for me and I will definitely be back if I return to Vietnam. 10/10 Thank you so much again!

Simply the best hostel in Hanoi. The services offered were aligned to hotel services Staff are helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Food is fresh and authentic tasting (I am of Vietnamese heritage) Great location next to many restaurants, but would recommend branching away from the tourists spots and heading towards more local street food around the corner Excellent rooms - comfy, clean and airy. Has large open windows and air-con if needed. Privacy curtains are installed for extra privacy. Beds are also equipped with a bed light, charging port and a USB charger. The bedside stand is furnished with a fresh flower, toiletries and a towel.

Stayed for 5 nights in a double room for the first two days and then got upgrade to the sky villa which was very nice expect for the bugs were over wall and some were on the bed. Good service, the girl in the reception with long hair was particularly helpful. Food was good too, but it seemed overpriced as I have found another hotel later on for 17 pounds a night near the lake... Overall it was a good experience, people seems nice there. They need to make the place look less broken tho, for example, the japanese toilet wasn't working properly and one of the drawer was broken

Amazing hostel to stay at for 2-3 days in Hanoi! The breakfast is amazing! Definitely get the omelet! Beds were nice and comfy as well, water was hot and the staff was friendly. Everything you need while in Hanoi. Highly recommend Also, there are free bicycles included with the homestay. I would recommend taking them because they are the best way to travel throughout this busy town. It cuts your time to get into the city centre in half!
