57 Disney World Rides and Attractions, Ranked From Best to Worst

"A retro, gas-powered driving experience where guests (especially kids) can get behind the wheel of a small race car; particularly exciting for children not yet old enough to drive, though less thrilling for adults due to traffic-like pacing." - Elizabeth Rhodes Elizabeth Rhodes Elizabeth Rhodes is a senior editor at Travel + Leisure, covering everything from luxury hotels to theme parks to must-pack travel products. The Speedway game at Disney is a fun attraction for younger kids, and my son really enjoyed the overall experience. It’s exciting for them to feel like they’re driving, and the setting adds to the magic of Disney. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. Steering can be quite tricky, especially for little ones, and the cars don’t respond as smoothly as you might expect. The gas pedal also had some issues, which made controlling the speed a bit frustrating at times. That said, the ride is more about the thrill of being behind the wheel than precision driving. If you go in with realistic expectations and understand that it’s a simple, nostalgic experience rather than a high-tech racing game, you’ll likely find it enjoyable for kids.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Every kid's dream: Driving their parents around! Let's be honest: it’s loud, it smells like a lawnmower, and the steering is harder than it looks—but for kids, this is the Indy 500. There is no feeling quite like letting your child take the wheel and drive you around for once. It is a core Disney memory to see them reach the pedals and "drive" down the track. While the cars putt-putt along at a leisurely pace, the excitement on their faces is genuine speed-racer energy. Bonus: The track actually offers some of the best photo ops of TRON and Space Mountain side-by-side. It’s a nostalgic classic that is worth doing at least once for the memories (and the driver's license!).

A classic in Magic Kingdom - drive a little, noisy, somewhat smelly little car on a track and enjoy it with the kids. Even adults have fun, though sometimes people do bump. The jerking back and forth can be resolved by reducing speed but some people don't seem to understand that. Rarely more than 20-25min wait, as well.

If you watch the time in the Disney app, you can hop on somewhat quickly. It's a big loop and obviously the speeds are regulated. The cars are on rails so no fear of leaving the lane at all but the steering can be horrible in some of these cars. Over compensate one way or the other and you'll be bouncing of the inner rail a good bit. Fun enough to kill some time.

A decent ride through the fumes of nostalgia, but the steering feels more like wrestling a wild boar than driving a car. Fun for a quick lap, especially with kids, but any hopes of a smooth cruise through the future are quickly dashed by the stubborn, clunky controls.

This is my most favorite ride of Tomorrowland. Even the (76) was turning left and right. The experience was great

My grown kids still love this attraction. Sometimes cars don’t go as fast as the others and you can expect to get rammed from behind by a 10 year old. The fumes from the car engines is strong. I imagine that they will convert to electric at some point in the future. You can get great views of Tron, People Mover, and Space Mountain while on this ride.

We visited Tuesday afternoon after Memorial day. We had a Lightning Lane and entered the line around 1p. We waited maybe 12-16 minutes to actually board the ride. The pedals are a bit far for kids, but it’s fun for the grownup to push the pedal and the kids to do the driving. The track is a little dated and there’s not much to look at, but overall, it’s a good classic ride.
