Stayed one night in 3 of the converted shipping containers last night, with friends and children ranging from 6-13. Had a fantastic time despite the rubbish weather! ||Spent both days in the farm park, which was a short walk up the hill from the containers. Plenty to do despite the weather, they loved the go karts, slides, indoor animals and straw play barn. Surprised and relieved that they were entertained for so many hours, as the beach wasn’t an option. Unlimited entry, you only pay once, they give you a wristband (careful not to overtighten!). ||The outside areas were great too when the weather improved, one of the wallabies let me stroke it during the walkthrough, so cute. Kids loved racing on the dual zip wires and the short toboggan run, and the bouncy pillow too. ||Containers were much nicer than the photos, suppose it’s hard to get good enough pics of them. Didn’t realise there would be plug sockets inside for phone charging and the string lights were perfectly adequate too, so that was very useful. One double (2 singles pushed together) bed with two single upper beds over which the kids found fun. Then two further sets of bunk beds in our container (others might vary), we used these for storage. Two bean bags, then a porch, and bench outside. ||They provide sheets for the mattresses, then we brought sleeping bags and blankets. Also brought our own bath towels, but they provided tea towels in the kitchen area, and hand driers (and hair driers) in the bathroom area too. Kitchen and bathrooms are only a short walk from the huts, worth taking a torch and flip flops or crocs for speed. ||They also provided hand soap and washing up liquid in the communal areas which was a nice touch and good quality. There are separate doors into the men’s and ladies bathroom areas. Each sexed bathroom area had 5 toilet cubicles and 5 showers. They were never busy, and at least half of the containers seemed to have guests in. ||They had a sign up saying they cleaned twice a day, which I believed as everywhere was kept spotless. There were some narrow shelves in the sink area, and there are hooks on the back of the shower doors (I put our things in a bag for life when showering / toothbrushing etc), you don’t really want your bag on the floor (as clean as it looked!). ||Each container had its own designated fridge area in the kitchen. I used the kettles and toasters, all clean. There were microwaves and also a funny looking thing that might have been a grill or air fryer, no idea! ||The container itself had those ikea shelving units with pull out drawers, so lots of storage. Our neighbours were rowdy for 10 mins when they returned at 10, but there’s a phone number to text if noise continues past 11pm curfew. Didn’t need it but reassuring to have.||We ate in the Cow, we have vegans and coeliacs among us and they were well catered for. Food was rapidly served and delicious. Prices weren’t cheap but the location and quality were worth it. ||Behind the cow were some rooms for residents use (Clubhouse), there were some kids playing snooker, watching a big TV and can’t remember the third room. We just wanted to sit and chat but couldn’t really see much seating, so we didn’t go in. Might have missed something though.||It’s worth checking your phone’s satellite map images with the map Tapnell provide on their website. Some cabins are much closer together than others, so you can book to be close to your friends, or make sure you’re away from others if you’re on your own. Some cabins are pretty much touching each other, whilst others aren’t. ||In the brief moments of respite from the rain(!), we had a lovely view across the valley down to the sea in the direction of Freshwater. We only stayed one night but would definitely come back. Everything felt high quality and i thought it was very good value for money. The lodges and hot tubs etc looked interesting for another time too, but I’d happily stay in these containers again going on this experience.
